  1. Open Letter To Stigwerd

Gossamer, My tendency is to believe you, at least in part, and I also believe you should go along with the healing- what have you got to lose? I believe Mak Tin Si will do his best to be 'professional' and help you, regardless of what he wrote about karma. Also, I find in life, its best to keep one's eye on the endgame. What is more important to you?- stopping this drama that has been messing up your life for a long time or Mak Tin Si's opinion of the situation? If I were you, I would do it, unless you have a better option, which it doesn't seem like you do.
  2. Kundalini?

In terms of grounding and bringing the energy down, my favorite exercise is zhan zhuang- the books the Way of Energy and the Way of Power (both by Lam Kam Chuen) are good guides to this practice if you don't have a local teacher. Second best is, in my opinion, squatting, either with or without weights (if using weights, best to get proper instruction). I used to be very ungrounded and overly intellectual. For kundalini issues/imbalances, you may also want to try spinal breathing from www.aypsite.org -I very much like this entire system.
  3. For dealing with emotions, I recommend the books Focusing by Gene Gendlin or the Power of Focussing by Anne Weiser Cornell- a very profound process.
  4. What's up with those pictures?

For those on this thread who would impugn the selflessness of Santiago, or claim that he is solely profit oriented, reference the "What is the healing circle?" thread, in which Santiago offers to do daily healing for whoever posts, asking in return only that if the recipient should benefit from the healing that a " donation should be made (for abandoned children, hungry kids, etc...) with the intent that its done on behalf of everyone involved in the "healing" you received and the THE TAO BUMB founders. So there is a nice Karmic thing occurring on many levels."
  5. Do You Train Martial Arts?

Mike, Having felt a bit of (and been impressed by) the art myself recently, I'd love to hear a story of you putting it to use (against humans) if you care to share, if you'd like you can PM me. thanks-
  6. Do You Train Martial Arts?

So I went to check out Sifu Hata's SSTT class yesterday. I was skeptical initially. Sifu Hata was very nice and friendly (as was Portcraig who I met there) and he hits HARD- I got to experience a few hits from him and, thoug he was very relaxed and I think was just using a small percentage of his capabilities, they were very hard and powerful and seemed to possibly have an unusual flavor/effect. I was very intrigued by the art and theory that I saw, felt, and heard and will most likely be joining the class shortly. Thumbs up!
  7. fermentation

I think that any beer that says bottle conditioned on the label is unpasteurized. In California, many of the microbrews sold in stores are, I believe, unpasteruized, as is, I think, Sierra Nevada (my favorite).
  8. Wondering- is Advanced Yoga Practices, particularly spinal breathing, compatible with KAP practice (I think they do some microcosmic orbit there)? Anyone practice both?
  9. Are KAP and AYP compatible practices?

I have been doing AYP off and on for a year and a few months. I find that the practice, particularly after not emitting seed for a few weeks, is more pleasurable than any practice I've ever tried, and i've tried many over the years. It can feel SOOOOO good. I also love how incredibly quiet and still my mind can become and remain from the practice at times. There have definitely been times and days when the highlight is my AYP practice. I asked about KAP because I'm thinking about trying it as I like to learn new things, Santiago sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and there are, I believe, some different practices taught in the first and later levels that I am interested in. Also, AYP, if done full-out (all the practices and components) can be time consuming, so if I can get the same bang for half the buck, that'd be cool. The only problems I've ever had from AYP were a little excess kundalini when adding on new practices too quickly- this was easily remedied by taking a short break and approaching new levels/components more gradually, i.e., self-pacing.
  10. Increasing capacity to retain chi

Gats- What method did your chi qong teacher teach you to store the chi is sitting meditation, ie, what kind of sitting meditation?
  11. I recently started a thread in the lending library forum asking to borrow a DVD. I received a private message from Procurator saying that he had the videotape and would send it to me and I could keep it. I responded with my name, address, and much gratitude. He then messaged me again saying it was no problem, he was cleaning out his closet, and asked me if (based on my name) I was Jewish and said, if so, to consider it a New Year's gift. I responded that I was, in fact, Jewish, and thanked him again. Five days later I hadn't heard back from him so messaged him to ask if he was still sending me the tape. His response is below. "no. i am not doing favors to a filthy jew" Sean, I have forwarded you a copy of this message that he sent me. Also, all of our correspondence remains in my inbox so you can easily verify this (I give you permission to look at our correspondence). I thought the community would be interested to know what we have among us. I must admit, I was shocked to get a response like this from a forum dedicated to spiritual cultivation.
  12. Starman returns

I guess it was me (haven't seen anyone else write it) that referred to feeling, after the transmission, as though there were 'a kun lun worm' inside me ferreting out all that was not me/unenlightened. I felt this acutely and powerfully after day 1 of the workshop, to a lesser degree on the second day, and virtually not at all since then. To tell you the truth, I kind of miss the feeling and have wondered where it went - I posted as much previously. I guess its possible that this feeling/transmission was a negative thing, although subjectively it didn't feel such. It felt good and powerful at the time, and I think I used the designation 'worm' because it seemed like it was ferreting out the parts inside of me that were not of the light. I don't think an earthworm is a parasite. In short, I don't know.
  13. Get to know the real Procurator

Procurator You wrote above "I have dignity. I play clean." If you ever read this post, consider this- How is it 'clean/dignified' to insult someone who has never done you any harm without revealing your name or whereabouts so they can repay you for the insult? How is it 'clean/dignified' to admit to the insult in public without, again, revealing your real name or whereabouts? Like other misguided individuals I have had the misfortune to encounter, your ethical code (for great lack of a better word) essentially boils down to this; What I do is good/right/noble What others do is bad/wrong/ignoble Think about it
  14. Get to know the real Procurator

Sean, I appreciate your sensitive, empathetic, and well thought out response. It is OK with me if you ban him or if you don't ban him- I'm not sure that was my intent either way. I think my intent was more to expose him. For those who have professed to 'liking' Procurator and being OK with his actions- I am not OK with you. I have no use for people who are OK with casual cruelty and racism. I am reminded, however, of a story I heard once about once you see a dog bite someone, you need to be careful around it for the rest of its life because now you know what it is capable of. You would do well to meditate on this story. My maternal grandfather had a wife, kids, and whole family in Germany- he was the only one of his family to survive the Holocaust. I took some time and did some thinking before starting this thread after the incident occurred. I did not know Procurator's real name or address so there wasn't much I could do to him. In honor of my Grandfather, however, I felt an obligation to act and to expose Procurator's evil deed (and make no mistake- it was evil- whether or not Procurator himself is evil is another question.) Cruelty without provocation, to me, again, is an unforgivable sin and perhaps worse than the anti-semitism. Evil thrives on the foods of shame and silence and darkness, and it is these things, I believe, that allow atrocities to happen and happen again- exposure, sunlight, kills it and sends it into hiding. I started this thread to cast some Light.
  15. Get to know the real Procurator

To me, almost worse than the prejudice, is being cruel to someone who has done you no wrong. That is one of the worst sins, in my opinion, cruelty without provocation, undeserved. It demonstrates a complete lack of compassion. Can one be spiritually 'advanced' while lacking compassion? This depends on whether or not the path has heart. Some paths are based wholely on the heart/heart center. Many have said 'simply love,', 'love is the way', etc... Particularly many people returning from near death experiences. Other paths (Castaneda's comes to mind) seem to be devoid of heart, cold, ego- focussed. Someone may have alot of book knowledge but experience is another matter. Personally, I wouldn't choose to follow a person or path that is devoid of compassion or does not lead to it. Those who are devoid of compassion have probably not suffered enough yet. There is time.
  16. Get to know the real Procurator

thanks to all who chimed in with their support
  17. Another One On Magical/Spiritual Warfare

Gossamer, I am sorry you have been having these troubles. I wonder if its possible that your computer challenges are unrelated to this individual? I am with Earthlink and have had alot of problems but noone is hexing me that I know of. Something you can try is- deeply relax your entire body. Try to find the part of yourself that is unaffected and unconcerned with this individual. Now, imagine yourself standing in a beautiful field. Invite this individual to join you. Tell him (and mean it) that you forgive him for any harm he may have done you and ask for his forgiveness in return. Imagine him responding positively, thank him, say goodbye, and end the exercise. It would help if you could find a place of true forgiveness inside yourself before undertaking the exercise. see what happens-
  18. Transmission from Max

I have been practicing but not a ton. Thanks Yoda. I'm going to attend a Kunlun meetup and see if that sparks the feeling more. I may retake the level 1 seminar (anyone know the discount for retakers?) or do level 2, not sure yet.
  19. Transmission from Max

I felt the transmission acutely during the weekend seminar I took from Max, particularly later on the day of the transmission, but after the weekend, sadly, I don't feel it anymore- its been a little over a month now- seems like I may be alone in this as I have read other's posts saying they still feel it strongly. I have been wondering why that is?
  20. Chi Weightlifting

Hey, Mantis did you buy that 60$ course you linked the videos to (chiqong P**** or something)- curious how you liked it.
  21. biocircuits

http://www.dynamind.com/biocir.htm Curious if anyone has tried these and what kind of results manifested?
  22. biocircuits

Can you expand on the black rock- where you got it and what its benefits are? thanks-
  23. The Right Path of Yiquan

thanks James. Immediately after practicing that stance, are you supposed to spend an equal amount of time with the other hand/foot forward? (to balance things)
  24. The Right Path of Yiquan

Thanks for that. Does anyone know of any photos, drawings, or detailed descriptions of the hunyuanzhuang stance (described in the book above as the ultimate zhan zhuang stance) or can anyone describe it in detail? thanks-
