  1. Greetings

Greetings my name is Cephu, its like a short nick name for my name 'Cepheus', because I like martial arts and eastern philosophy. I've known about this forum and have been on it ever so often since I was a kid but i've never posted on here. I've read a decent amount of books from Mantak Chia to Dr.Ywang and Damo Mitchell and some others. I have practiced for a number of years and have a meager understanding. I guess I'd share some of my theories. To preface I'd share that i've been a street dancer ever since I was a kid, my relationship of with this art has helped me developed a high level of external and internal body control. My practice of daoist internal alchemy, has led me to believe some things. For one as much as cultivation is a mystical subject, it requires understanding of mental aspects - yi emotional and physical / mechanical processes. I dont focus on visualization at all, good practice with the mind in my experience has something to do with being present with the mind, managing emotional balance and soft/hard focus and also the mind traveling through the body(or being directly in places). Good mechanics of the body that are important are proper breathing and posture, a soft flexion and some cases a slight stretch. Mechanics are important to understand - qi moves through the body by breathing because breathing coordinates the diaphragm, abdomen and moves the connective tissues, joints ligaments and fascia in certain ways. Movement of connective tissues etc can effect the spines, or push upon glands organs etc. In some scientific research of fascia, fascia has cells called telocytes, and telocytes have to do with angiogenesis, remodeling (I think this has to do with muscle tendon changing), cell signaling. This is why I think its good not get too caught in specifics of things like the dantian but instead have proper mechanics and the right development results. This is only my meager understanding and take it with a grain of salt, I don't have a master so everything I say could possibly be wrong.
