Hi Witch ! Third eye can = 6th chakra but depends on who is doing the counting! There are several eyes and hundreds of chakras and folks preferences to working with different ones creates several versions of the "7 main chakras" . the one in the center there is usually said to be the fifth eye. It's interesting that each of the eyes(or any chakra) has differing qualities to them. Can be fun to play with them! Innies and outies? Love it! Wonder if it's true ... from direction of spin and circulation could be??? Sorry my words don't answer your question Cat! Hard to distinguish at this point if the cause of experiences was just from working on a certain chakra or more just from working on energy in general ! Usually used to work with the chakras more as a progressive sweep, Maybe going through them but not focusing on one at a time unless feeling sick/out of balance somehow. Fun question though! Did have "cobaltian vision" often at one point , where the buildings and everything would disappear, but any thing that was alive was filled with these strings of living lights! A story of sorts for you Wolf (a bit long, maybe?!), a story true of time. written clear but for words to be lost but those with experience of beginnings and endings and of the circles of dust some meanings may be clearer? Was once in a state of playing with sameness and separation A job that if one has "able hands" one does a job that's a double edged blade This one was in a state of three but still was one watching ~seeing, hearing, feeling being another sharing selves and went to a "point" beyond an other's end A place/space/time "I" wasn't to go This self got in the way with emotions questioning begging answers that are not The self attracted attention of another without concept of time And being the self caused hesitation a reaction to slow to react confused by thoughts, emotions, analyzing, questioning The other not restricted by time moved with speed immeasurable in an instance "my" guard was up An instant is a very long period of time, old friend This one was hit hard So fast it was thought just a tap Knowing well it could have been much worse for this child Not knowing that time would show how hard hit A strike that continued for months causing a slow seeping to fill that was as though a poisoned water with unexplained chest pains and lungs filling a drowning while breathing clean air ... and of course leaving Dr.'s confused and shrugging and prescribing foolishness The concept of time was "my" own "my" hesitation, reaction so slow the others speed, instantaneous strike that was slowly felt for months Effects that have been felt for years Still a concept that binds this one with the other unaware of such chains existence Unknowing and unconcerned The strike also a double edged sword that is still teaching slowly learning to drop time to reality but still confused and caught free falling into and through spider webs Such sticky stuff! am still learning. when it drops the surprise on others faces makes me laugh! Sages, Gurus, and Harems! Jet planes, Ashrams, and "Communities" of every kind! ... but i will try and behave ? ... for now! Have also seen the heart ache that it causes. For the student but also for the Teacher that they love. For some it is ruins after that. Have seen some truly great Teachers Lose it all. (not sayin' it's good or bad here!) They can't reclaim their reputations after that or be taken seriously at all. and some wonderful knowledge gets lost. Anyway, it's late here and i am rambeling ... again! Hey Cat Sounds like you've been doing this for awhile, hmm? Ya know how when you settle yourself, when your calm and more open, You (might?) experiance it more? For some the sight may shift (Hence the darker rooms...can see energy and All better) feelings deepen and your more aware. Does Kunlun have that kind of effect on you? I don't know about kunlun but that's not such a strange thing for folks who do that work. Sounds like your letting down your own walls/barriers a bit. There is always opportunity to do that work and because of your experiences in your past you may also be more open to it. Hundun gave some very sound advise or posed some great questions that are always good for all to remember ~ "what do you want out of your practice? what are you looking for? and how important is it to you?" As Yoda said have intention (he said prayer, i think) when you start. return to it if you feel you need to, like if you want to strengthen it, and recall it when your done. be thankful, to whoever you find it important to be. When your thankful, you'll find yourself to get calm, it's a way to come back to your self, to reconnect so to say. I'm not into cheesy affirmations, lol but have to admit I do call up love & light when i start. For me it's a shield of sorts. Kinda like a filter! That stuff is normal to me but Still Freaks The Hell Out of me ! It's a continual learning experience. People are people (um?...even the one's who might not be people?) (my folks have tried to brainwash me that 99.9 % are good. where's the balance with that!) Some are Good Some, not so Great! Use your instincts, pay attention to them. If you don't you Will learn to, HaHaHa. Learning is great in it's suckage. I am all for saying hi. No need to panic and be disrespectful gives you a chance to react. Others will not agree with that. That's ok! many ways to "deal" but curiosity always leads me. Who is it? What stories to share? What to learn by you, by them? Empty of any connection to life? Get them laughing and their eyes start to spark! Glimmer and shine! This earth has enough Zombies! Weather monks or maidens, It is a job for all who are able, to give life, to birth it new. Sometimes in the very old or long time dead. ? bk meditation movie? our minds like to have something to chew on emptiness is easy, you don't have to think on it! Sometimes breath and all that other stuff can just be a distraction, good to start to create some single pointed focus but then it has to be dropped to? Just relax and be. If watching is to active for you (attention stimulates feeling? and that is undesired???) Maybe ? just be. you're breath will still breath but your attention won't influence it, it won't make you feel by intensifying your focus on breath? My thought was the same as Darin's,LOL ... right across the cheek! then old songs pop into my head... "The water is wide; I can't cross o'er, And neither have I wings to fly. Give me a boat that can carry two, And both shall row, my love and I. ..." or crossing to another land/plane/world/layer. There are many versions of this story, this lesson. Some very long full of imagery. There is one that to tell would take me a good 45 min. to tell and it's even missing parts!
