  1. Kunlun Answer Bag

few things after reading your post. - try Five Elements(its on my site) and basic Qigong balancing exercises. I find them to really help. - I see bouncing etc as a purification/ opening the blockages and then the bliss can rise - I also see that its temporary for bouncing then really by though we can go to bliss - and then ultimately from bliss to emptyness If bouncing stop, then you dont need to stop. You can try just to sit... Or close and sit with the closing. As book mentions that is when greatest things can happen.
  2. Ginger and lime

In india we mix ginger, lime with sugar cane. If you are around Indian stores in NY - Jackson Heights OR Edison NJ, they make fresh sugar cane juice in many stores. Any one really interested in food ingredients for over 75,000 products check out the website FoodFacts: Nutrition Facts
  3. Any exercise we do can be done with a form (physical level) and we can bring in Spirituality into it. If we simply do the exercise then you could be doing it mechanically. Even a exercise like weight lifting, if done without mind aspect will have its benefits BUT if done bringing Mind and Breathing into it, reaps more benefits I like the Tao-Tai chi jin formula of Mind/Heart + Breathing + Postures = Jin I remind myself and others with me - that Yoga means union of Body+Mind+Soul so we can strive to do any exercise bringing mind/heart and our spirit into it and it can become spiritual. Once we understand meditation, any thing we do can become meditaiton. If we are playing basketball, and we are fully there, One with the team, aware of each person presence, when we pass the ball we become one with the person passed to..... my few cents

  12. Nice Article, http://realitysandwich.com/sex_abundance_and_sustainability My fav's: My Fav from the article: -effortless merging -Sex is a mighty tool for centering, balancing and aligning ourselves with the harmonious flow of life (in which our needs are met effortlessly in concert with everyone else's). -Sex can be used two different ways: for short-term pleasure and fertilization or for creating deep, lingering feelings of wholeness and serenity. One term for the latter approach is "angelic dual cultivation." "Where ordinary intercourse is effortful, angelic cultivation [also called "the tai chi of sexual intercourse"] is calm, relaxed, quiet, and natural. Where ordinary intercourse unites sex organs with sex organs, angelic cultivation unites spirit with spirit, mind with mind, and every cell of one body with every cell of the other body

People need a place to: ask questions post comments a place to organize meetings and post meetings. so please visit: meetandgrow.com Once you join the site, you can go to group on top navigation and join a group in your area. Idea being that local groups can be started that can have meetings. Let me know know if anyone else is interested in becoming an admin OR if new groups need to be created. So far I have - NY, NJ, LA that are meeting. Please let me know if I can change the format in any way. thanks Jazz

  16. So How does One Get Started?

The ultimate practice is very simple and profound. Simply sit and watch your breath. All that is will appear. Everything else you read is extra.... in zen terms bla bla bla, some times needed for this and that. Our egos also want more and more, so we read this and that. If we could master one simple practice we would attain the way. For simple zen meditation instructions - http://mykunlun.com/blogs/buddhism/archive...n-practice.aspx
  17. "if you were really serious about 'helping humanity' or whatever. you'd keep money out of spirituality and get a real job to support yourself like the rest of us" If some one comes from a different city, country ... they have flight, hotel, car, food expenses, do you think its a big deal to pay for them ? If you have a REAL job, as some of us have a consulting positions and we have to travel for work, some one pays for our travel expenses. REAL JOB - if everyone took a real job like you and me, and didnt dedicate their lives to help transmit the teaching, how would you come across them ? Even if you have Center, Temple, church, you will have expenses.
  18. Transmission are being given by Oscar If Max session is not available or too far to attend, I think Oscar transmission is next best thing. From what I understand Oscar is authorized to do so. You could really start practicing from the book, but I think transmission make a huge difference. all $ are for him. All practice sessions I hold are Free, there no charge. If we ever eat, we all chip in.
  19. Kunlun Lineage

I think its ok for any one to ask about the lineage and be cautious, if they havent met Max or taken the seminar. There are so many people in my group that were so skeptical about this practice, but each one of them as accepted it first listening to me then seeing it in action with Oscar. People need to know where it comes from and who the past teachers are, there is nothing wrong for asking that. Max himself in the seminar said that we should question the lineage and practice. BUT CLEARLY, few people here are choosing this topic to discredit Max and the practices. I would personally also be offended if anyone says anything negative about Max, but I am reminded of the below story.... and rather than get caught up, i simply choose to smile All of max's students who respect and cherish him, I would like to say that please dont get caught up any ones negative energy. You seem to be far ahead than me and closer to Max. I know I may offend you but, Please dont take me wrong but telling anyone that you dont owe then anything..... You are so blessed to be where you are, my sincere request that please be humble.... --------------------- Buddha - How not to accept others anger A story that always sticks to me, that my grandfather used to tell me many times: Once Buddha was passing through a village and during his stay there he was giving a talk to the locals. During this talk, a local ascetic got very upset. He was upset as people had started listening to and following Buddha instead of him. He got so angry that one day he came and spit on buddha's face and started shouting. At this Buddha simply smiled. Buddha's followers and local leaders were upset and wanted to take revenge. But Buddha stopped them saying that it was between him and the ascetic, they didnt need to do anything, and calmed them to wait. The ascetic went home but could not sleep. Next day he came back and bowed to Buddha's feet and said, who are you ? what have you done to me ? At this Buddha replied, I havent done anything, All I did was to not accept your negative energy when you were angry. By not accepting it, the negative energy stayed with you. Grandfather used to end it with analogy, If I have 10 dollars and I offer them to you, but you say No thanks! then who has the 10 dollars ? I do. But if you accept the 10 dollars add to it and give them back to me then the cycle continues... Similarly, Anger is a like a coal, a burning coal. First it burns the person who has it, then they throw it others. If the other person accepts it, it burns them. They take it add fire to it, and then throw it back .... and cycle continues.
  20. Kunlun Lineage

As I have written: http://mykunlun.com/blogs/kunlun/archive/2...-tradition.aspx Before we take on a practice or accept some one as a teacher there is a bit of research we must do. Lineage of a tradition is important. Some of the lineages can be traced back. As an example in Zen, when one is initiated, they prepare a lineage chart. this chart traces ones lineage all the way back to Buddha. The problem with not having a lineage is that a teacher you are working with could have teachings that are not genuine. In most for a student to be given permission to teach, thier teacher verify that they are ready. Otherwise we can read book, take little from here, little from there and start teaching. We should also do a bit of research about the teacher, see how they treat their students. "It takes a teacher to show you that you dont need a teacher". In many traditions as Zen and Kunlun, teachers encourage you to not treat them as a Guru/Seifu. One does not have to/should not give ones power to another being. Its so easy to get aweeeed by someones presence and unconsiously gives one energy, give control to a teacher. We must always be in control, we must question every practice we are given and not follow anything blindly. We should never make any one our Guru and give them all our powers. The real power is within you. A teacher can only show you, and you still have to do the work. In Zen they have a concept of 3 pillars. Three pillars of zen: Belief, Doubt, Determination Belief: First one must believe that the system works, even perhaps works looking/reading/seeing it. Doubt: then once must doubt as to how/why it works. Doubt fuels your practice Determination: One must have the determination to do the practice. Choosing a teacher: I have read and heard that "ones teacher is allready there, its a matter of finding them or the student being ready and the teacher appears". ________________________________________ Having said all above, I somehow ended up to Max's seminar, and upon experiencing rare energy for myself decided to take the weekend course. For me Max, was able to show me things that I have only read in books. He would say again and again that we dont call him a teacher or sefu or guru. He was just giving it out, showing the practices to those that wanted it. To me it seems - as Max has said that he has learned from many traditions: Bonpo. tao, Shaman, Tibetan... He is a unique teacher and has a unique style of teaching. I am sure that practices he is teaching, exist but in esoteric fashion. I dont think they have been widely given out. You would have to learn for years in India, China, Tibet to get some of similar practices. And then to you would never be allowed to show or teach them in public. Even Max encourages everyone to not blindly learn a practice or follow any one, He says to go out and research the lineage, check out the teacher, talk to past students. ________________________ Buddha was once visiting a village and teaching, to the villagers said, we have a problem that some teacher comes and says to do this way another one comes and says to do it another way, our tradition says one thing, another tradition says another, What do we do ? Who do we follow ? In reply to villagers in he said in (Kalama Sutta) Do not follow anything because: - a teacher says so - a tradition says so -your family culture says so -your religion says so ....... "Rely not on the teacher/person, but on the teaching. Rely not on the words of the teaching, but on the spirit of the words. Rely not on theory, but on experience. Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." - the Buddha Teachers are always there, its a matter of student to be ready Ultimately if your heart agrees, then practice is for you and teachers is yours.

Video is correct order. Text - I have corrected on top after Chris provided. I will fix the video text shorly and upload it. I will have Chris tell us about Destructive vs Creative cycle. From what I understand what we were taught is the creative cycle.

  25. Max in Kunlun Seminars has mentioned One Law and returning to it or once again being aware of it. Some of his answers if I can remember it right, when I asked him about it: Its universal compassion... What do you remember ? Whats your definition ?
