@-ꌼęŚę§ ęŚąęŚ ęŚżęŚśęŚŞęŚşęŚ´- @Cobie @Neirong are yall saying that Damo is not a reliable source? I just want to know your opinion about him, I've seen only a few people saying that he is not that good, I'm curious, can you elaborate more? Once I saw a guy who claims that he(Damo) is not that advanced as a practitioner, he only got to a certain level in his training and then started teaching others.

Sorry, I don't know how to fix this issue. Try watching Damo Mitchell podcasts on youtube about Zi Fa Gong, maybe he can help you, he talks a lot about this process and in his book "A Comprehensive Guide to Daoist NeiGong" he explains the process of Zi Fa Gong in detail but I don't remember if he gives a solution to qi deviations. I've also created some blockages in the past and I came here asking for help, the advice was to stop every qigong practice an do some grounding, like working with the earth (this is the best if you can) and physical exercises. I read that if it's not that severe the blockages can fix themselves if you do what I said above. But I'm sure there are more people who can help you with this subject, I'm also here to learnđ

I'm still having it when I practice. It can go for months, depends on how much work needs to be done The movements change every time so I think it's a good sign that I'm not stuck on a particular blockage, because some people can get stuck in this process, or even worse, do it wrong and have zi fa gong when they are not doing qigong

Yes this is true, I've seen some teachers saying this exact same thing, which is very interesting because I look way younger than my age and I always tought I was very healthy, then when I started qigong, EVERY different type of qigong I try I have lots of spontaneous movements, even when I do Zhan Zhuang I have them, so this got me thinking that physical appearence is not necessarily related to your health, maybe it's more genetics. I always considered those people who look younger to be healthy but maybe they(and I) have lots of energy blockages. Maybe I'm not as healthy as I thoughtđ

Hello everyone! Yanq qi movement creating strong zi fa gong(spontaneous movements) reactions does depletes/consumes your jing and qi? I've read it somewhere here but I forgot the name of the post to find it again, so maybe someone can help me, this information just keep in the back of my head and I don't even know if it's true

I'm having zi fa gong for some time but it always stop after the practice. It's actually diminishing with time, it was a lot stronger 2 months ago

This happens to me aswell, but I don't know exactly why, this is one of the reasons I asked this question, I'm trying to find the sweet spot where I practice enought to benefit but don't use too much of my Qi to the point of being tired

Hello everyone! What are your thoughts on Falun Gong or Falun Dafa? Anyone here practice or practiced it in the past? Good results? It showed up to me on instagram earlier today, I decided to take a overall look at it and it seems very complete, with static postures, moving postures and meditation, seems like a complete system. I would like to hear what you think about it

Mantra to get good grades in exams(serious no joke I explain)
Lukks posted a topic in Buddhist Discussion
Hello everyone! I'm looking for a mantra to help with study and also to get good grades in exams. I saw a vajrayana buddhist share a mantra for this purpose but I can't find it anywhere and I really need it right now I'm studying a lot for this exam but the time is short so I won't have the time to study all the subjects, and I know the mantra won't make a miracle but I need every help possible it's very important for me, if anyone know this and if it's safe to chant please share, thanks a lot!! -
@-ꌼęŚę§ ęŚąęŚ ęŚżęŚśęŚŞęŚşęŚ´- yep I found other thread here about Falun Gong and he shared a lot of knowledge there, he knows what he is talking about
-
Yes, Falun Gong installs a wheel on the LDT, but Idk if that's the same thing as filling the LDT, so it also works to fill the LDT just like other systems?
-
Agreed. I was searching and found an old thread named "Potent systems" from some years ago and there's some information on this system there, good info. I just don't get the part where you need to practice ONLY Falun Dafa. What exactly this means, I understand that Spring Forest Qigong can be understood as a different system so if I learn Falun Dafa I should stop it, but what about LDT meditation? I don't think it's part of a system, it's actually in a lot of systems, so can I still do it while I do Falun Dafa?

Higher level of conciousness

Are you referring to people who developed their clairvoyance? -

Hello my chi friends here I'm, back at it with another controversy The question today is: HOW DOES WATER TEMPERATURE AFFECT OUR Qi? Does HOT or COLD showers drains our Qi? I've already seen EVERYTHING: - People saying that HOT showers drains your Qi and you should take only COLD showers. - People saying that COLD is the villain and you should only take HOT showers. -*I've also seen a master claiming that you shouldn't shower at all because the water(he didn't mention the temperature in this case, he only said "water") takes away the Qi from your body. *I think this is impractical for everyone living in the "normal world" but maybe it does make sense for him living isolated in the mountains, that's why I'm asking about water temperature because I'm not ready to leave my shower behind, but if anyone knows about "water taking your Qi away" it would be a nice contribution to the topic I decided to post this to bring this discussion to see if we can find a point where we all agree to what is the best for everyone's health

Oh I also had a problem with the PDF but then I took a look above and thelerner posted the PDF in the comments

I do the same, very few showers, maximum 2 every week and my skin is great. Unfortunately summer here is too hot and I need to take more showers, but in winter it's not a problem. Yea I heard about this chlorine thing but I think you should be fine, I grew up takin 20-30min hot(very hot) showers locked in the bathroom, a lot of steam inside and I never had a problem (not that I know haha), so I think you should be fine with this, maybe it's not that much of a problem. I say this because I used to do this all the time and never had a problem but maybe that's just me, maybe it can be really dangerous, I'm just sharing my thoughts. I don't want to encourage anyone to take a 40min hot shower and get poisoned lol Also, it can differ chlorine amount in water in different countries so yea maybe they use less chlorine here I don't know, just food for tought. Hot or warm water all the way haha I only drink cold water when it's summer and I really feel the need to drink something cold, besides that I will drink warm water even in summer. IMO stimulants are bad so I avoid all of them, I think I read this somewhere in a meditation book but I can't remember the name, but it said that all stimulants are bad, I think it's something related to TCM.(Please someone correct me if I'm wrong) BUT I OFTEN see people taking their coffee and practicing qigong, coffee is the only legalized drug haha (at least where I live it is) so I really don't know.

That's what I call a Taoist downvote
-
Yea but it's not because our ancestors did it that it was the right thing to do. A lot of things evolved and if we can take advantage of these new technologies for our benefit, I absolutely think we should. They just did it because they had no "hot water" option. And they were depleting their bodies by doing so. Coincidentaly there's a Wim Hof thread going on at the time we are talking about cold showers here, check it out: I posted some links there, I still advice you to stay away from cold showers unless you know what your doing.
