  1. "When the student is ready, the master appears"

I like to quote the phrase from the book Light on the Path by Mabel Collins: "Before the voice can speak in the presence of the Masters, it must have lost the ability to hurt" That demand for purity and cessation of all hostility even at the mental level, is the hallmark of the true initiatory path. I don't know if the Mahatmas of Theosophy exist, but I believe that in some way they represent the prototype of the true Spiritual Master.
  2. I tried Fragrant Qigong a few years ago (for more than a year) and I didn't get any benefit, rather I got chest pain, ie harm. At night sometimes my arms would burn slightly but it was momentary. I checked my energy system with an acupuncturist and he pointed out that there was excess yang in the pericardium meridian. I went to the allopathic doctor and they did a general check-up to rule out heart disease. I could not recommend Fragrant Qigong, I think it generates a certain yang heat in the chest area. Finally, through Master Tung's acupuncture, I was able to balance the meridian.
  3. Hi Bums From a book by Master Wong Kiew Kit, "The Art of Chi Kung" I learned that Wai Tan Kung exists. A group of exercises that improve health and develop energy and improve skills in martial arts. Does anyone practice it? Anyone know something like that?
  4. "When the student is ready, the master appears"

Enemies and misfortunes are the best teachers...
  5. "When the student is ready, the master appears"

The real question would be, a teacher a master but of what? Master carpenter Master of scams Master butcher Satanist master Qigong master Personally, I believe that the human being in his path of life has to go through the spiritual path so difficult to achieve that it is like walking on the edge of a knife, in that noble path a real Master appears when there is sincerity and spiritual nobility.
  6. "When the student is ready, the master appears"

In this life it is easier to meet a charlatan than a true Master...
  7. Qi Gong Keeps Making Me Manic

On the Taoist path there is a large space dedicated to doing nothing, doing nothing, resting, and forgetting. Cultivating dantians, opening channels, strengthening chi, meditating three hours a day can take you away from the great Dao and its power. It is better to rest and forget. Rest and forget, get out of the self-imposed competition. Look for that pleasant rest that is achieved in deep sleep where the ten thousand things dissolve into nothing. As a famous Taoist who lived to be 256 years old advised, he sleeps carefree like a dog, he walks with the liveliness of a small bird, he breathes slowly like a turtle.
  8. Mantra Yoga

Is it possible to achieve liberation through a mantra?
  9. Mantra Yoga

That is the point, there are mantras to achieve enlightenment and liberation. The best known are the following: a. Om Namah Sivaya b. Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya c. Om Namo Narayana Even in the Yogasutra of Patanjali there is talk of the repetition of the Pranava OM as a way to achieve liberation. Two direct benefits come from the proper practice of the OM mantra: 1. Obstacles will be removed 2. It is a direct route to self-realization.
  10. For a fool or a fanatic, everyone else is always wrong. The measure of wisdom in man is to understand when we are wrong and when we are not. As the ancient Uighurs used to say: He who does not know and thinks he knows is a fool, flee from him. He who does not know and knows that he does not know, he is sincere, instruct him. He who knows and thinks he doesn't know is wrapped in illusion, guide him. He who knows and knows that he knows is a worthy man, follow him.
  11. Blocking a user?

It's heartbreaking, always read explicitly that I'm better than you and everything you're doing is very wrong. Even Lao Tzu is very bad And that the Chunk turns into Chong and then into the dancing Chimp but you wouldn't understand that because of your low level. The gibberish doesn't help either. It really tires and I feel, however, that the subject deep inside himself believes that he is working for the good of the universe.
  12. PalmBreather

Welcome, so much wisdom and experience in your story. Even though esoteric Christianity is fascinating, it also often indigests understanding and generates an excess of over-interpretation that weakens.
  13. Compost Toilet

Bad Feng Shui is having Buddha statues in the toilet
  14. Blocking a user?

I died with the rabbit's foot and the black mamba, LOL
  15. Did Lao Tsu Fail?

I believe that having an artificial intention to achieve something, is far from the naturalness and spontaneity taught in Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching.
  16. I would like to have a space to publish my daily meditative practice, thanks in advance.

  18. Learning with Master Bruce Frantzis

I have never trusted Qigong or Tai Chi masters who are unable to cure baldness. Edit: My point is about the kidney energy, a true Qigong master keeps their energy systems in balance, especially the precious fundamental energy. I have met many bald masters with great power and amazing chi expression at a distance but they damage their prenatal energy and become depleted. The hair system is closely related to the energy of the kidney, which must be kept well reserved and cared for.
  19. Does your system have a type of Qigong or Neigong?
  20. hello!

    Bienvenido Ferrán.
  21. For me, the best way to know if I am advancing with my practice is the quality of sleep, a deep sleep means that the energy of the kidneys is recovering. The other sign is serenity in the face of life's incidents, calm in the storm and the ability not to lose your head, a nervous system in restorative mode. The final sign is the youthful appearance, a natural rejuvenation is the sign that your practice is giving results.
  22. Monks and nuns according to the ancient rules of the Vinaya Pitaka can only have a minimum of possessions (ideally, three robes, a bowl for food, a belt, needle and thread, a blade to shave the head and eyebrows and a filter of Water) At the time of Shakyamuni those who left the world taking the path of renunciation shaved or pulled out their hair and beard, Mahavira is said to have pulled out his hair and beard, and entered a wandering life, both the Buddha and other mendicants and ascetics shaved their heads, notwithstanding that in the stages of Tapas and yogic meditation it was normal for them to let their hair and beards grow like the old Rishis.
  23. I am very new to Taoism ,please guide me

The first verses of the DDJ, have not only one interpretation but many, however, I have stayed with this: 1. The Tao that can be named is not the eternal Tao. (It is an allusion to the unmanifest, unnamable as the eternal Tao, The ABSOLUTE: the Maha-Parabrahman of the Vedantins or the One Reality, Sat) 2. The name that can be named is not the immutable name (Another allusion to the absolute, unknowable as the real essence or Tao as the first Logos the impersonal Logos, and in philosophy, the unmanifested, the precursor of the Manifested. This is the "First Cause”) 3. Non-existence is the beginning of heaven and earth (In the East, ancient wisdom has affirmed that non-existence, that is, the absolute understood as the unexpressed or manifested, is the beginning of heaven and earth, that is, of the material and the subtle) 4. Existence is the mother of all there is. (Once the unknowable is expressed in space-time through the initial Verb, everything in theosophy originates, it is The Second Logos: Spirit-Matter, Life; the "Spirit of the Universe", Purusha that emanates Prakriti)

"Do not look for rest, look for war. Look for the unbelievers, the bad, the ignorant, the sick, and heal them by giving of yourselves despite all the effort and inconvenience that this will cause you. If you return later impoverished, tired, exhausted, reached even by doubts due to their arguments, lock yourselves in your room... and pray; they strength and vigor will return" Master Philippe of Lyon

“They saw themselves as nothing and the world despised them, but to God they were precious and loved. They kept to the humble truth. They lived in simple obedience. They advanced in love and patience.” Thomas a Kempis, The Imitation of Christ
