  1. How to fix knocked knees ?

OK chekeced maybe im wrong but it feels like the pain when i do the butterfly stretch is in center above the knee patella later edit : did frog stretchs and it does make me have pain in the Medial part of the knee ( when i mean Medial i mean that in the right knee i get pain in the left side of the knee - in the outside part of it) I wonder what the difference is - and if maybe butterfly stretch is harmful some how
  2. How to fix knocked knees ?

i think its inward pain in the knees - i just now started doing it again after your comment to check better but your probably right about location of pain i remebmer that headache in the free centers merge stance in zhineneg qigong (which i guess its considered a wuji stance?) of concetration VS correcting the posture - was such a headache LOL if i remember correctly i think in a video about qigong foundations that explains about the wuji stance damo mitchell talked about not holding yourself in the correct position - though im not sure what the context was so you think i get the "self fixing" magic happening from wuji - just that it will get better if i stretch more ?
  3. How to fix knocked knees ?

so why would the pain be in the knee than as response to the butterfly stretch ? i wonder should i try to do wuji than now ? and if not when i should give it a try ? if i do all the stereches with awerness and not hold them long - than would you say the more streches (as in the more different places streched) the better ? .... or its a complicated thing where you can over stretch an area and by that causing disbalance ? ... (cause if that is the case it seems you need to be an expert before you start to stretch (
  4. How to fix knocked knees ?

thanks for replies - so just to make it clear - you are not sure why specifically butterfly stretches caused me pain in knee even though they are suposed to fix it ? would you say i should go by the route of just googling "hip opening stretches" and just do them all ? i would love to hear more about : so standing can fix posture issues ? what about sitting meditation ? I wonder how will i know i have reached the self fixing stage ? also - would you say i should wait with all stretches until i fix this knee issue ? cause maybe for example i just do many streches than i can do the opposite of opening the hip in some way ?
  5. How to fix knocked knees ?

I also wonder getting how much posture is important - than how things went for qigong teachers in the past - did they correct a lot of students postures - for example if someone came with knocked knees did they first gave him many exercises to fix their posture ? cause i seen somewhere you cant correct all stuff in wuji stance so in that case would seem that qigong teachers if their good knew exactly how to fix many imbalances in the body and had some ways cause i dont think they used all the that you can see todaylike using bands etc
  6. How to fix knocked knees ?

You think that alone can fix knocked knees ? i tried to do butterfly stretch but it really cause me pain in the knees .... which i dont understand why -if its a hip opening exercise why it causes more pain ? i also wonder if sleeping in "Bound Angle Pose" can help - its easy for me to do i sometimes do it for comfort a few seconds at night i wonder if sleeping like that can help - or if i will wake up with really messed up knees cause its like doing a butterfly stretch all night
  7. Does this teacher and what he says is legit or not : https://www.clearstaichi.com/blog/dont-make-the-lower-dan-tien-mistake-6076.html ?
  8. after seeing this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKiYOHjli80 is the goal to get yuan shen or yuan jing or yuan qi ? or all of them (make are qi,jing, shen become their respectable yuan versions) ?
  9. I would like to hear people opinion about sleeping and waking time ... as opposed to a discussion about how much to sleep (but if someone wants to add about how much sleeping time they think is best and why - that is a plus as long as the main talk is about when to sleep and awake) do you need to get up at morning and sleep at night ? how bad it is to sleep during the day and be awake at night ? read not long ago about Brahmamuhurtha - what are your thoughts about that ? is it effective if im awake at night and go to sleep after that time ? is there something about this in daoism as well (maybe even a word for that time) ?
  10. I read somewhere (reality transurfing) against astrology - as in predicting the future cause they talk their how beliefs can create reality - and if someone is told he will die or get ill just the fact he belives in it raises the chances it will really happen : so is i ching predicting ones future ? if so i assume it has the same problems "westren" future predictions has in the sense that i described above ?
  11. Is i ching like astrology ?

The criticism i read about astrology is that predicting the future to someone can affect his future so if you say to him he will get ill and he strongly believes it can increase the chances of him getting ill so i wondered about it - cause i dont know much about astrology and less about i ching - but if it also predicts the future to people in the way of saying "you will get ill" and by that increase the chance of that even described to come into reality
  12. I get pain in the sitting bones when i sit on a chair - also a bit cushioned one ( i dont like sitting on a pillow cause than it causes other problems) - does anyone know the reason for this ? or even knows a solution (apart from saying to sit on a cushion) ? is it that i dont have enough fat or muscles in the butt ? that dont seem likely and not the case judging appearance but maybe it is ? i sit up right
  13. I get Pain in sitting bones - solution ?

No but i dont think its a posture thing (im working on my standing posture - so if that is the problem it would be fixes i think) i changed position and there is a better one but it still does not go away completely
  14. When they talk about "transmuting" - from what to what ? ( when you practice qigong for example - what are you suppose to transmute to what ? )
  15. When to sleep and wake up (not how much sleep) ?

got it - to sleep from 11 to 3 am - that is the wood cycle time
  16. From a qi point of view - What are the effects of streching exercises (that are not part of yoga or qigong system) ? I have noticed there are a lot of stretching movements in zhineng qigong and maybe its in other qigong paths - does streching (not as part of qigong) have any effect on qi in the body ? does it make more qi in the body ? does it help clear blockages in the meridians ? does it widen the meridians ? If there are benifits to it in a qi point of view what does it mean on extremely flexible "rubber man" ? are there areas where they are extremly good at ( spiritualy , strong qi flow etc)
  17. When to sleep and wake up (not how much sleep) ?

Just to make sure i need to be in deep sleep at 11pm until when ? or just to be in deep sleep at the liver section (not all the wood phase) of 1-3 AM ?
  18. What is Jing ... really?

just to add (personally im still confused but thanks to this kind of threads less and less) a video im watching now :
  19. Xiang Gong - Fragrant Qigong

Such a shame to read you can incorporate this with other practices - seems like such a nice simple exercise to do - did i get it right that all you do in the first level is just this simple movements and thats it no need for visualization or focus etc ?
  20. Effects of Sterching .... qi wise

That is a great watch - couldnt get all the words cause i couldnt hear all of them well but got most of them so what is the difference between what he does and yoga does benifit wise ? for which cases yoga is better according to him ? Is there a way to that way to do stretches as he explains ? ( as in a name i can google that so i can learn more about the techinque he explained (from other people as well) ) What is the difference stretch wise ? as in does he strech a differnt part of the body (the fascia?) ? As long as i keep that tension - there is no risk of over flexibility ? (cause i can see a scenario when someone can become extremely flexible while keeping that tension ) in yoga there is the risk of over flexibility than ?
  21. Effects of Sterching .... qi wise

Do you think i can over strech than ? I really want to strech now since i always look for ways to strengthen my "practice" that are not about adding meditation or qigong times than if stretching really helps release stuck emotions and really helps you have more qi in the body and more qi flow thats awesome especially if i can do a few stretches for a few minutes (not an hour long) and thats it - and maybe do it a few times a day that can be really easy for me - and if that alone can have "spiritual" benifits (i mean stuff like release emotions or better qi flow) than its great But i wonder now about maybe i will be too flexible than which as you wrote might be unhealthy ? and also if i practice it without a teacher if its still good - cause i dont want to go to classess or a yoga teacher for this ( at least not at the moment - not to mention i cant leave the house at the moment as well)
  22. Effects of Sterching .... qi wise

So would you say that stretching exercises as widely known by general public - the ones shown in those training TV videos and the ones done at the gym have this benifits too ? Vajra Fist do you think that regular streching as done not thorugh yoga but through "regular" common stretches have the same benefit of releasing emotions ? freeform you think streching "regular" common streches - without knowing anything about how to loosen and open around the joints , at least not knowingly - has any benifit and forgot to add to the question above and will edit add now : If there are benifits to it in a qi point of view what does it mean on extremely flexible "rubber man" ? do you think they released a lot of locked emotions and by that are spiritually "advanced" more than the average person ? they have really clear open meridans with a very strong flow in it ?
  23. would like to hear opinions of people here about qi accumulation VS qi flowing some question to get talk going : is it about gather as much qi in the body as possible ? is it never about qi accumulation really just about clearing the channel so we have as much qi flowing in us at all times ? the more qi the better ? how much qi flowing in us is too much ? in exercises where you push qi out of body ... do you lose that qi ? if during the day i do a number of "pushing" qi movements slowly with feeling qi in hand - do i lose that chi ? sex ,masturbation effect via the flowing out look ? eating food that is "high in chi" brings more chi into the body ? is that just the view of accumulation and food doesnt matter in the flowing point of view ? does chi from my enviorment enter the body ? than can wind bring a lot of qi into my body which seems like a good thing ? can being in water be a good thing ? maybe actually someone place with huge amounts of chi are in it and you just go there and suck it all up into your body - accumulate it feng shui effect in this two views ? can being in a house with a lot of qi flow be a good thing ? can you make a house with feng shui which has extremely good feng shui which you practice in it for a month and you reach enlightenment ?
  24. how much effect does feng shui has on a persons practice ? I am talking about the effect of the feng shui of the place where he "trains" meditation/qigong ? can feng shui change a place so that 1 hour of qigong practice in it is worth 10 hours in another place ? 100 hours ? 10000 hours ? how to make a place have effect on the practice ? what are the "strongest" effect feng shui places - in general ( forest , river , beach, mountain , toilet , fast food place , school , church , monastery etc) ? and specifically what are the strongest effect places in the world ? (anything someone wants to add about feng shui effects on practice are welcome)
  25. What is the advantage in not masturbating and eating good food .... if anyway qi comes and goes with the body ? its it usless like putting buckets into a flowing river ? (also some palces i seen people say there is no point in gathering qi and all that matters is doing stuff like practicing qigong increasing the flow between the body and the world) what are the advantages of gathering more qi in the body (in means of food and celibacy etc) ?
