  1. "closed system" vs "open system"

Ohhh - forgot than , funny how i choose the opposite title ... maybe that unintentional happend for a reason .... anyway i think this thread can bring more answers and replies so i think its for the better
  2. this is what i remember from a reply i got (not sure if i remember 100% correct) : 1 . that we lose yang qi (around 15% of it) when we are training barefoot - but much more energy is lost in thoughts 2 . so training is still useful barefoot but less effective 3 . yang qi can be isolated by footwear .......... unlike yin qi that can flow to the ground no matter the shoe or mat 4 . it doesnt matter if you are barefoot in daily life - just when training qigong you need to wear shoes or practice on a mat (if you care about the energy loss of yang qi)
  3. How to find the lower dan tian ?

You have solutions to people living in very warm weather ? is being in an room with an air conditioner good for you ? is it worst or better than drinking cold drinks ? what is your view on cold showers ?
  4. How to find the lower dan tian ?

well the ones i have in mind are vipasana- mahasi sayadaw technique , chogyam trungpa rinpoche , and zen korean defintly many monks even for years who are not really advanced spirtually - but i would guess for example in viapssana mahasi sayadaw there are a few enlightened people (i think in other sects too) and as far as i know they dont talk about " Qi, alchemical substances, herbs and use internal processes "
  5. How to find the lower dan tian ?

What about the other way around ... for instance doing a lot of buddhist meditation reaching enlightnment and healing the body via the mind ?
  6. @steve I get that in meditation - but i wonder how it works in daily life - not that i need someone to expirence it for me but just in the theorietical level to know what does guide the guide activity or decision making
  7. @wstein I am asking about the decision making aspect of things , as in why would one " explicit drive to see one " ?
  8. @C T wrote another reply on this but earsed it and wrote this - cause i really think its best we end this here and save us both time and a headache and maybe this thread will continue its course about the original question
  9. Earl grey is trolling my posts cross threads (i delete a few even) i think it derails the thread and prevents some good answeres to be written - and that might be some contributing factor why your reply (and your likes and laughing symbol to posts like for example the post above) was frustrating to me and out of my expectation - but there are much more reasons - but i dont think i can explain it well written on the internet (as opposed to with voice face to face) never meant what you wrote is bullshit CT i think you understand that - but i still didnt like your reply and find it rude especially since i did have high expectations from you based on some good replies you made in the past and finding it a shame i wont be able to read your comments unbiased in the future I am frustrated i guess by the fact that people here are not - extremly advanced mind readers who can 100% get what i am trying to convey ........ especially when its something that to me seems more basic to get (Even though my posts are not that clear) like im not claiming to be enlightened but im asking a question .. i dont need to be "exposed" and no need for posts like "virtue" posted above ... also someone who claims to be enlightened does not ask questions about it ... The issue is that even the head ache of trying to explain myself here seems such an effort waste - not only i am derailing the thread myself and also really dont enjoy this kind of conversation above that : i could never really explain myself well - its hard enough to ask questions and explain to them but to argue about past events is even more hard to clarify cause there are just a ton of variables and even now here trying to explain myself - i just wrote more stuff that people would be against and dont understand why i think them (for instance its not just cause im annoyed by earl grey there are more reasons that i didnt write still (and probably wont) - and its not just a matter of high expectations - and not just frustration from derailing of the thread - etc )
  10. Wow , what a reply - so with your example : i get i can enjoy it when its there but would i go to see the sunset ? take my car and drive to the sea to enjoy the sunset ? (about co creation i heared about that that and lean towards that strongly and might have seen semi evidence its real )
  11. @liminal_luke to make it clearer im talking about happiness from meditation practice from accepting all that comes in life - 100% happiness so in that case of a truly happy person and enlightened being - im asking why is he doing what he does - why is he active
  12. @steve do you see other reasons for action in that state other than not dying and helping others ?
  13. How to find the lower dan tian ?

@小梦想 do you have any thoughts about zhineng qigong (especially about how they go about developing the channels and the dantian) ?
  14. How to find the lower dan tian ?

@ralisInteresting comment ralis , very interesting - do you think if someone just meditates (as in buddhist meditation) he will be able to emit qi - manybe not necassry from his lower dan tian - maybe from another body part (the heart , the head ,all the body ) ?
  15. Never was happy in the first place and now thanks to some replies here ... i am much less than what i was the question is "if i am " not "i am" its a question (a very very common one in buddhist forums btw - asked again and again in different variations) many ask it for the theoretical discussion it makes but i ask it to draw conclusions for my life and how to direct it , since i am planing to up my practice intensity (which is very low atm - which makes me even more sensitive to trolls and rudeness) - but again to explain it will be hard for mea especially when all the trolling going on which just makes me be more defensive and seems like many are looking for some fault so they can neat pick over it especially in threads it seems people are just going with the herd so once some troll like eaerl diverts the subject than things go down very fast about your questions seem ok and in line but i dont think this thread is a place to continue serious discussion at the moment - so im out
  16. @C T i edited this before seeing you comment - but maybe you replied before seeing my edit - i do think it was rude of you and out of place - but i wrote im not good with words or at least to lazy to explain myself with them especially on arguments - so to explain why its out of place is something i cant do well now so i wont
  17. what earl grey wrote is bullshit ... about the reply its not about time of reply - i would get completly if you didnt responf at all - but after earls comment and considering it all i just dont think that was in place ... but fine lets all do our thing
  18. @C T you asked me questions , than instead of following it up you just respond to earl greys trolling ( i try to ignore him as much as i can) - what he wrote is pure bullshit
  19. no need for names - i just wonder if someone who advances in the buddhist path expirences jing and qi - and gets to the same level in dealing with them like someone going thorugh the daoist path
  20. Yes sitting being aware of whatever arises i am always serious - if you mean the last question set - they are "dumbed"down a bit but there is serious reason i ask them and the replies to them and the reason for the reply will be taking VERY seriously - its hard for me to put into words exactly what i want to ask but if you give a good reply than i take it and not only as an answer to what i ask but also in general but they are a ton of questions which will need time to reply to - they are just examples (Example questions) that can be nice to be answered but just examples of the question they are trying to make clearer which is : or clearer : How do i know what decisions to make ? (and more clear im aiming for the direction of answers in the line of : "follow your intution / higher self etc" )
  21. @C T maybe just meditating all day long - not helping others - not doing anything for "fun" no neigong training etc i want to know what decisions to make in life and know they are good choices - examples of decisions : should i go buy junk food and watch netflix alone eating junk food ? or should i eat one healthy meal a day and thats it ? should i meditate all day long or just an hour every day or just 10 minutes everyday ? when is it too much that i will stop after a week and where its too little that i will fill unmotivated to do it cause of little "results" ? should i follow neigong ? maybe for me its a waste of time and i should just meditate till i reach a stage where i dont care if i have a dantian or not ?
  22. The Skeptic thread

what is the first change you can obesreve ? would love to find some difference in me to know for sure im not in point 0 of practice
  23. Talking about meditation and enlightenment and thous stuff ... not drugs or lobotomy or medication yep fine that works as well .... so im (talking about the theoretical future here not present moment of course - as in my orignial question) perfectly happy to sit in the chair and thats it
  24. @wstein can you expand a bit on this point please also is there a name for this (so i can google search on it) ?
  25. but what if i accept boredom ? i am happy with it ? (meaning i reached a level i accept boredom)
