  1. The Brexit Thread

Why go through a scheme of making people get ID implants to track them when everyone worth tracking has phones with two plus cameras, mics and software they have no control over? Even if you don't carry a phone someone near you is going to have one. The conspiracy theory of microchip implants is well past it's sell by date.
  2. I had some, all of them positive, when I did a yoga in my teenage years. Though they and some other gods were interesting, bhakti yoga didn't feel like my thing intuitively. I could have made inroads into it quite easily from that opportunity. It seems to come more naturally to other people, I'm much more introverted.
  3. meat eater to vegetarian

I was vegetarian for many years. It worked fine once you got used to not associating fullness with the load on your digestive system. I stopped being vegetarian since being a meat eater is much more convenient, you can get the same health benefits by eating less meat. Maintaining ideal weight was easier as a vegetarian though.
  4. Gospel of Thomas

If your friends doubt the legitimacy of the Gospel of Thomas, the same is found in Matthew and Luke, "People will tell you, 'Look, there He is,' or 'Here He is.' Do not go out or chase after them" quoting from Luke 17:23.
  5. Should an IS Traitor be Allowed to Return to the UK?

War torn doesn't seem to mean what you think. Watch a few documentaries on war torn countries and you will notice that there are people still living there, even minorities. It's not the first nor will it be the last gathering of barbarians who want power, sex slaves, destruction and loot in the guise of some cause. They got to kill people of other religions and take everything they owned. When the game is done, they can go out in a blaze of glory. Something uncultured, violent and unscrupulous young men with no feel for the Dao of Man or Dao of Heaven would desire at times in history anywhere in the world.
  6. Should an IS Traitor be Allowed to Return to the UK?

Resurrection? No, they were engaged in genocide and mass rape of those who had lived in the land for centuries if not millennia. They also stole oil and sold drugs to fund their campaign.
  7. Should an IS Traitor be Allowed to Return to the UK?

It should be a consideration only after she has served the time for her crimes in Syria or Iraq and they let her go.
  8. Saving the World & Solar Energy

  9. Spelunking!

This cave seems more dangerous than fun.
  10. How we can harness electrical energy in today's world is ingenious, but it's not free. It costs as much as the labor, the parts, replacement parts, the food required to power the muscles. This is not going to power the World's energy needs or even make a dent in it. The equipment he is using needed a lot more power to produce than he is going to make himself. Still, it's quite good for people who live in areas where there is no electric grid.
  11. 1 道原 Daoyuan The origin of the Way

Getting the same message from this as from the LZ. Looking forward to exploring further.
  12. Being honest yields different riches than being cunning.
  13. Hello

I've been an unaffiliated Daoist for over a decade and experimented with various techniques associated with Daoism today quite a bit longer. I'm unemployed and studying for a bachelor's in engineering. I can also talk and read a bit of Chinese. I like various kinds of music from traditional folk music around the world to extreme metal and electronic music. I guess that's as much I can say in my intro, I'm not quite as serious as the tone of this post.
  14. Hello

Thanks for the welcome! I looked around a bit, what are the differences between newcomer's area and the regular areas? That's still a bit confusing to me.
  15. our world / earth as a simulation

I liked the idea of living in a simulation for a long time. The website, not so much. The author seemed too excited, as if pitching a product.
  16. Living in perpetual hell due premature awakening

Hello friend, I too had that kind of experience many years ago when I learned some technique from a book. For me it stopped after eating lots of fatty foods and copious amounts of weight lifting. I spent all the energy and lost most of my sensitivity in the body that way! Soon I was no longer able to feel any energy at all and I slept like a log. After that you just let your body fix itself naturally and return to a normal rhythm. If you start practicing again, try starting with zhan zhuang or balance the soft training with hard.
  17. There's no escape from that. A fridge is a good analogue, it tries to only change it's internal environment to some preset no matter what happens outside. An energy efficient refrigerator, I didn't know I was looking to be like one, but here we are.
  18. Everything we do changes something else, but my question is can we stop trying to change the world?
  19. More crappy 'New Age' "occult " trend .

This is what happens when ideas become substitutes for real things. The site sounds a lot like the chaos magic of yesteryear, but without a method behind the madness.
