  1. It has happenned exactly the same to me! After being a voracious reader for years now I don't have the wish to read anymore. I guess it is because we have learnt a very better way to achieve knowledge and wisdom! I have also lost interest in other things as politics, whichi now seem so dirty to me

Anything that actually shakes your system is good as in opening Body-Mind blockages. But this anything is not everything. One must find the system that is proven to be effective (check out for lineages and how long they have been in existence for) because you'll be wasting your time if life changing results are sought.

    Look within the following traditions:

    1. Taoist

    2. Buddhist

    3. Sufi (harder to access than the first two)

    Good luck. :)

Do you mean some kind of islamic qigong by sufi? Never heard of this!

  3. i'm surprised about this form of qi gong. I have seen the videos and I feel it can work very well on me. I will begin to train it and I will comment how it goes. I am looking at a pdf with does and does not from Dolic and I see he says that we shouldn't concentrate on the movements while we are performing. This is very surprising. What do we have to concentrate on then? Also he says that we can not do meditation if we practise this form. Anyway, I don't think anything very bad can happen if we break these littles rules! :P

Correction: Well, maybe it makes sense, they say you should just relax your mind

  4. Hello!

I am very curious to know the favourite system of the people of the forum. I am not talking about the single "best" qigong system, this probably wouldn't be a very intelligent question. I am just curious to know what is the one that you like the most. Zhineng, zhang zhuan, fragrant qi gong, wudang, Damo Mitchell's Ji Beng, 5 animals, etc?

In my case maybe I shouldn't give an answer. I haven't practiced for long and I don't know many systems yet, but perhaps Damo Mitchell's Ji Ben Qigong is my favourite one among the systems I know. I also have watched some videos about fragrant qigong, and although I have never done it, it seems very powerful to me.

  5. I train every day about two hours and a half, maybe is too much, but I really love and I enjoy doing it. It's not only because I want to achieve goals. I do Wudang Qigong as taught by Yves Requena, and also Damo Mitchell Ji ben qi gong, plus some stretching workouts, static positions, etc.

You're doing it wrong. You cannot achieve anything, if you ask how long. And the reason is, because you do not want to achieve anything if you donct love what you do. The more you enjoy life the more you will find the ability to enjoy life more in your own unique way. And then you will be too busy achieving beyond the ability of what anyone else has ever achieved to care about how long things take, because you are enjoying life too much to even wanna speed things up. And there is no end to the eternal journey that is life and existance. The joy is in the journey. The reward is in the joy. The passion for what you do. The love for what you do. The enjoyment of it. And so, you can't get it wrong. You can't fail. Unless you are doing something that you don't enjoy. Then you cannot succeed. And then you will always fail. But that's luckily not what you want. So you would be wise to then say, oh boy, am I glad I failed at this! It has nothing to do with me. My succes is in what I love the most in life. What matters the most to me.

Good response, thanks, I am already enjoying the practice to a high degree! I was just curious to know the time required to achieve great things

  7. I am wondering how many years of hard training you need in order to achieve higher qigong skills, like the microcosmic orbit or healing (others) abilities. I'm training quite hard every day since the last few months, but I am 33 right now. I would like to know how many years of intense training you need in order to achieve such abilities

  8. Hi all,

I am a spanish practitioneer of qigong. It's my first time in this forum, so I wanted to say hello to everybody!

I know of qigong since only a year ago, but I have totally fallen in love with this wonderful art, and I train hard everyday. I hope to learn a lot with all of you
