  1. Hi Noone, I did not know this. Buber was a fascinating man. Thanks for posting.
  2. You wish to communicate on a public forum and then make comments like that. So brave when hiding behind the internet.
  3. Obviously english is not your first language. However I suspect there may be something of interest here. Please have a rethink and try again.
  4. Actually I made my reply in response to one of your posts. A post that you have since edited beyond recognition. This is a dishonest act so there is no point in further contact.
  5. Prison is about the only option, along with some sort of education. I think they did it with unrepentant nazi's. I would also like to put this in the context of the big picture. These young people were running away to a war at the same time as the U.K. was nearly torn apart by the Scottish referendum. UKIP was a rising electoral star, brexit was on the horizon. For many, work means fast food and when you are older become a security guard or a cleaner for some openly exploitative contract company that will treat you like dirt. Leadership (if you can call it that) in the U.K.has been an unmitigated disaster.
  6. Well having that in mind perhaps this is a good point at which to summarise our arguments. I detest discrimination on the grounds of gender or sexual orientation. I have the highest regard for religious freedom. I consider slavery to be one of the worst things humanity has ever done. I expect to be able to hold and express my views without coming to harm. Therefore this young woman is the enemy, plain and simple. I do not see how any society can allow people to roam the world committing or actively supporting the most vile acts. I would hope that modern justice prevails here, maybe she will learn something from it.
  7. No, I do not think you do. Where on earth do you get the the idea that semantics is indicative of fear? May I suggest a little more objectivity and a lot less rambling.
  8. evilnoun [ C/U ] us /ˈi·vəl/ the condition of being immoral, cruel, or bad, or an act of this type. Seems quite clear to me.
  9. First sensible thing you have said
  10. Soul

This is certainly a factor in some of the material that I have read. Thanks for the info about forms, This is a new one for me but a very interesting point of view.
  11. Soul

I have found this subject very challenging. By chance today I came across Analayo's book 'Rebirth in Early Buddhism'. I will read this and hopefully have a greater perspective. It has some good reviews. Has anybody else read this book?
  12. Mystical Christian Thread

Jesus said, "Many are standing at the door, but it is the solitary who will enter the bridal chamber." Gospel of Thomas
  13. Paintings with a Wow Factor

Another by Burne Jones, 'Love Among the Ruins'.

  16. Hmmm Well b/ is wrong for a start. You have no idea what they are thinking. It might be a lust fuelled desire to pounce on you. Nothing says you have to make the first move. Secondly I have to ask what are you really grasping for, girls or the balls to talk to them?
  17. Rebirth????

Thanks for answering. So far then It would seem, according to this analogy, to be entirely random.
  18. Rebirth????

Thanks but not really answering my question. In your analogy we would know how and why the new candle got there and how the contact was made. In my question this whole area is (it appears) a complete blank. Any ideas @Cheshire Cat
  19. Paintings with a Wow Factor

No, but in her case I can very very forgiving.
