  1. Andreas Berndt did his Ph.D. thesis on dragons in China. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwixpILG0KTVAhVpsFQKHXYmDfkQFggsMAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.qucosa.de%2Ffileadmin%2Fdata%2Fqucosa%2Fdocuments%2F20915%2FBerndt_Der%20Kult%20der%20Drachenk%C3%B6nige%20(longwang)%20im%20China%20der%20sp%C3%A4ten%20Kaiserzeit.pdf&usg=AFQjCNEy1t5nNke47fh7yBLBSObI8Ki0WQ pdf link - it's in German but I snagged this quote: So Berndt is citing a paper called: "The Dragon in Early Imperial China" Actually it's a Ph.D. thesis. The Dragon in Early Imperial China [microform] - Raymond Anthony ... https://books.google.com/books/.../The_Dragon_in_Early_Imperial_China_micro.html?i... The Dragon in Early Imperial China [microform]. Front Cover. Raymond Anthony Dragan. Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Toronto, 1993 - Dragons - 368 pages. Then he cites Creel stating the early dragons were snake-like or some aquatic animal but "unmistakably reptilian." No hits for crocodile or alligator. 29 hits for snake in German. Animal and the Daemon in Early China, The Roel Sterckx SUNY Press, 2012 yeah that dude argues what you are stating - that the dragon is fundamentally a transformational creature - between various species. But he has two quotes of stating the dragon turns into a snake and vice versa. So I don't know - maybe Wiki just isn't up to snuff yet on this subject.
  2. Berndt, Andreas. "The Cult of the Longwang: Their Origin, Spread, and Regional Significance." In Chinese and European Perspectives on the Study of Chinese Popular Religions, edited by Philip Clart. Taipei: Boyang Publishing, 2012. Pp.61-94. Abstract: This essay discusses the cult of the Chinese water deities called longwang (Dragon Kings or Dragon Princes). Deriving mainly from two sources - one the ancient Chinese belief in dragons itself, the other Indian snake deities called nagas or nagarajas that came to China along with Buddhism beginning in the first millennium - the cult became increasingly popular during the Tang and Song dynasties and can be found throughout the empire of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The essay focuses on how the expansion of the longwang cult can be explained. It argues that, despite historical developments, its expansion was mainly influenced by geographical factors like climate and topography. But these influences also modified the cult of the longwang: in late imperial China, instead of a homogeneous cult, a great variety of different forms of longwang worship existed. Local case studies from Qing dynasty Xuanhua (former Chaha’er), Changting (Fujian), Taigu (Shanxi), and Suzhou (Jiangsu) are introduced to illustrate these developments. 3. Silence and energy

I did my master's thesis on this - calling it "sound-current nondualism" back in 2000. But then I had to keep digging deeper. The West equates silence with stillness but I completely disagree with this. So when we say "energy" then people turn to Western terminology. But in fact if we delve deeply into Western science we find the answer to your question. There is something called "time-frequency uncertainty" in Western science that states the foundation of reality is eternal motion - to put it in different terms - this is also called "noncommutative phase." So for example light has no rest mass but light does have relative mass called when light is "heavy." What that means - I called this the Sigh-Lense as the secret of Silence. So when light is "turned around" technically time is zero but since light has no rest mass there is a hidden energy to light that is actually reverse time - called "quantum relative entropy." That means there is no "stillness" - instead there is eternal motion and this is also the secret of the Tai Chi as the Wuji. So another way to say this is that listening has no beginning nor any ending. Or you can say, "No One is Listening." To put it in terms of logic, all thoughts are based on the I-thought and yet if we repeat, I-I-I, as the source of all thoughts, the I-thought itself does not refer to anything said or heard. And yet listening goes on - in India this is called "mouna samadhi" but in fact it is eternal energy as consciousness. So in Taoism it is stated - that the highest sound that can not be heard then leads to the Tao. Science has now revealed that the highest pitch or sound we can hear, actually resonates our whole brain as ultrasound which in turn resonates our collagen, the most common protein, into quantum microseconds. For example we respond faster to sound, then to light, which is why a gun shot is used to start a race, not a visual signal. And so the difference between our right and left ear occurs on the rate of microseconds which is the wavelength of ultrasound frequency. The microseconds are synchronized as quantum entanglement - which means there is actually a resonance that is faster than the speed of light. I go into this in my blog - http://ecoechoinvasives.blogspot.com - I have articles on this topic. But I'll quote a physicist who describes it well: Manfred Euler's 2013 description of acoustic STM - Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy builds on his previous connections between the quantum acoustic realms. A comparison of sound and matter waves clarifies that these [noncommutative] limitations exist in principle. 2016: de Broglie clocks as synchronization: a tangible model of how mass emerges. matter waves are locally in phase with the particle clocks (de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony). The clock runs forever so it's self-sustaining (consciousness-energy). It resonates with the quantum vacuum. The harmonic beats create dynamic energy. So then you have a "phase particle" that can be faster than the speed of light - superluminal - and a "mass particle" that is slower than the speed of light as the "group wave" of the "phase wave." The beats of the phase wave then are "in resonance" with the quantum vacuum - and so create mass from the massless field, explaining the Higgs mechanism. "Universal coherence" - a "mind boggling outlook." Coherence as consciousness. "Ghost Tones" Manfred Euler is a Professor Emeritus of Physics at the University of Kiel. So normally we are taught that the foundation of reality is random but in fact this is a later construct of the wrong math from the wrong music theory. So originally music theory did not rely on a physical string or tube to measure sound - in stead music theory was based on listening as perception to consciousness. So this original listening was realized to be complementary opposites - the secret of the Tai Chi and also the secret of the "three gunas" in India and from the 1-4-5 music intervals universal to all human cultures. In the West this got covered up by using symmetric mathematics. So if the One is C as geometry, then the 2 is the octave as C while 3 as overtone harmonic is G yet 3 as subharmonic undertone is F - at the same time. That is the secret meaning described in the Tao Te Ching - and called "noncommutative phase" in quantum relativity. So you have the Tai Chi as eternal listening as energy creation from complementary opposites that also consciously guides reality, as the above quote describes the Law of Phase Harmony. For the actual training based on this secret of silence as the Sigh-Lense see free pdf https://www.pdf-archive.com/2017/04/10/idiot-s-guide-to-taoist-alchemy/
  4. Gurdjieff Dances

    The facebook comment states:
  5. Gurdjieff Dances

So you're comment and the Pythagorean title - jarred my memory. There is someone who did their Ph.d. on Plato mathematics and then argued that the Homeric epics are actually dance songs. I think that was correct - and so he somehow claimed to reconstruct the meters and dances from the poetry. It seemed a big haphazard but you gotta admire his claim. I'll track that down. http://www.oxfordscholarship.com/view/10.1093/acprof:oso/9780199292400.001.0001/acprof-9780199292400 Yeah - he goes by A.P. David but in fact his name is East Indian I think. So then he has videos of training people to perform the dances. I just mention this in comparison. The Gurdjieff dances actually seem to use Tai Chi principles - so if you read my pdf - I relate how the left hand is yang against the lower body yin and the right hand is yin against the upper body yang. So the Gurdjieff dance you posted - notice that they alternative the hands with the upper and lower body. So one hand will be tapping the lower body while the other hand is moving on the upper body. Then this switches. So that is utilizing this yin-yang secret - or what Gurdjieff called the Law of Three. So that's pretty cool. Actually some Gurdjieff expert read my Gurdjieff Taoist articles - and he agreed with what I stated about Gurdjieff. He posted his comment - a long comment on someone's facebook page. Yeah so I just searched my name, gurdjieff facebook and got the hit. https://www.facebook.com/groups/realself/permalink/965222746941881/ 15 comments.
  6. Alan Watts

Find a real Chinese qigong master for a shen "healing" - http://springforestqigong.com is a good one - call them up and get a phone healing. Talking is not really encouraged by the real teachers. haha. Watts was a fake. Sure he may have opened the door to nonwestern thinking but in a general watered down way.
  7. Alan Watts

It's just New Age woo-woo. No particulars about Taoist training at all.
  8. Nei Jing Tu

I was asked to respond to this. I wonder if any of the literati here know about the Kang bed-stove linked to alchemy training. It is found as far back as 1000 BCE in archaeology. The principle is called the "Chinese burner" but it is also called the "inverted downward draft." I don't want to appear to be derailing this thread - so I'm just going to point out that the principles involved as the same as internal alchemy. I won't make the full analogy here - as it would get too entailed - but we know the Tripod cauldron was an early inspiration for alchemy as well. I'm just asking if anyone knows of these connections to this diagram. If not, whatever. thanks.
  9. Alan Watts

I wouldn't waste my time with Alan Watts as he was already outed as a fake. Fortunately we now have access to real spiritual masters from China.

  11. Crowley and Daoism

Crowley was a big fake - he couldn't even do the "O at a D" as Colin Wilson pointed out in the book The Occult, referencing Rom Landu's God's Adventure book. It's amazing how idiotic Westerners are with their whole Crowley fixation. Welcome to thetaobums! haha. Hilarious.

See it's not what Plato said or didn't say that is the issue as much as his wrong mathematics! . So your "pop-science" reading of Plato is wrong. As I stated http://peterkingsley.com has pointed out that Plato was wrong about Physis - and not just Physis - Plato was wrong about real Pythagorean philosophy based on complementary opposites, natural resonance, as Taoist philosophy. You say I want to ban anything not to do with Taoism? Nope I just don't want to fixate on the fake solutions. And then you claim repeatedly that because I didn't "authenticate" your quote with the "stamped" date and time - therefore it was not a "real" quote. haha. That is quite a claim. I already went back and re-posted your quote with your "required" date and time "official stamp" to "certify" it as "really" from you - as if you can deny something until proven otherwise. You pretend you didn't write something because it wasn't "stamped" correctly? haha. That's hilarious. Nice standards. Then you have to make reference to ejaculation and before you replied to me with a porn shot of New Age Egyptian Ma'at as a porn goddess. That's because of your energy level btw and maybe the mods would consider that harassment on your part - but then I suppose the mods standards are too low on this website. haha. Yep - that's real "authenticate" Taoist training. haha. Hilarious. Good luck with your fake analysis of Aryans. Hilarious. I was wondering why you kept being so squirrelly about why "Caucasian mummies" did not refer to old Aryan Empire "race" - haha. Oh course not even though you put the "Caucasian mummies" in the same sentence in your OP then soon after referred to "Aryan Europe" and then claimed that Europeans came from Indo-Iranians, not Indo-Europeans. haha. Then when I called you on it - you state - Europeans are not from Indo-Europeans but rather were more influenced by Prometheus as a Zoroastrian God. haha. Good luck getting over those hang ups about your secret Aryan influence of Europe fixation. Again it has nothing to do with Taoism. But you see that a lot on this website - what do you expect from Westerners supposedly interested in Taoism - most of them here can't get over their other preoccupations.

Thanks for posting a reply with evidence. What I did is actually look at the link I provided from the history professor - he wrote a history of the Empire of Cyrus. So he says that Cyrus did not practice any real Zoroastrian faith. I realize you idealize Cyrus and his Aryans - but the overall context is one of warfare in the iron age. So also you seem to gloss over the "Aryan Invasion" but I have already provided the evidence showing that there was a dramatic change after the chariots entered into the "Aryan homeland" that you idealize. So then you say there is no proof that Harrapan is not Indo-European - but in fact the new DNA study of the skeletons is definitively not Indo-European. I already posted that evidence. The geneticists have already stated this is the case. And the DNA evidence of the Aryan invasion of India is also well-documented. So this is a Taoist website - Taoist is traced back in archaeology to over 4,400 BCE. You want to idealize the iron age. Go ahead. That's your choice. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=10&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiG8bDTl5PVAhUCQSYKHRFSAp8QFghOMAk&url=https%3A%2F%2Fbusiness-school.exeter.ac.uk%2Fdocuments%2Fpapers%2Fleadership%2F396.pdf&usg=AFQjCNExehjkQ0BFZQfUA3Ie50webzt-tg Here is a legal Pdf analysis of Cyrus and human rights. Basically it calls Cyrus a "transformative tyrant." That is in contrast to the Law being the ruler of a land - not a divine person. Now my view is to consider humans from the perspective of biology and ecology - and so I consider the last 10,000 years of humanity to not be idealized. The original human culture did not have any warfare because every male was initiated into the complementary opposites resonance of reality as the truth - and so this enabled the lower emotions to be transcended. We are told that such a choice is not feasible in our current day - going back to the debate of the ancient Greeks against Sparta vis a vis Cyrus. So I did my master's thesis directly against the "natural law" that was inspired by Cyrus. physis meant natural law by the Ancient Greeks - compared to written law. So the Greeks argued, inspired by Cyrus, that is it "natural" to rule over whomever they can. So I was inspired by a book called The Racial Contract which denounced this natural law - just as some racists today argue that slaves lived in better conditions - getting free housing and food, etc. The book The Racial Contract was inspired by the book the Sexual Contract. So Cyrus thought the Spartans were weak because they worshiped a women - Helena. So my point, based on http://peterkingsley.com is that in fact - the ancient Greeks since Plato, had changed the meaning of Physis - and did not really understand true natural law based on complementary opposites. It may seem idealistic to reject history going back thousands of years but biologically modern humans have existed for 100,000 years at least. So in my view the real Taoist training and real Pythagorean training is from an earlier time when there was no war fare, the San Bushmen culture. You say Cyrus was known as a great humanitarian and then compare him to Stalin and Genghis Khan as not being great humanitarians. I consider that to be a false paradigm of comparison. So when you give evidence of Cyrus giving women rights - this is what I call "technofeminism" versus "ecofeminism." The fact is Cyrus implemented massacres just like any other imperial warmonger. If you want to idealize that - and compare him to Stalin and Genghis Khan - it's a fake debate that has nothing to do with Taoism. This is a Taoism website but a lot of people here just promote militarism, etc.

O.k. - you don't have any evidence in your post. So to be sympathetic to your opinion I googled cyrus women rights empire This is the first hit I got: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/2420263/Cyrus-cylinders-ancient-bill-of-rights-is-just-propaganda.html So now its your turn to provide some evidence. Please keep in mind your "heritage institute" website has made 2 prominent errors that I've exposed - and did not correct the first error properly. But if you want to keep using the "heritage institute" pan-aryanism website - go for it and we'll see where the evidence takes us.

  18. Chinese Bones

Yeah I'm sure you read that somewhere but have you read the latest DNA research?
  19. Chinese Bones

I posted earlier in this thread that the German language is 30% non-Indo-European. So when they say "Germanic" they don't really mean German language as a whole, nor the German people as a whole. Sorry if that was confusing to you. But then people (i.e. the OP) tend to project "Aryan" onto Indo-European as well - which I think you picked up.
  20. Chinese Bones

So the OP erroneously claims an "old Aryan empire" that includes the Tarim basin mummies. https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/44553-chinese-bones/ But the Tarim basin mummies are definitely not Aryan! (notice I didn't enlarge the font - for extra emphasis I kept the font normal size). Now notice the Indo-Iranian (i.e. Aryan) is way down on the bottom while Tocharian is way up on the top. If you raid Victor Mair's pdf - I'll link it https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=15&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwifhoKzuY7VAhXGzlQKHZAsAz4QFgh3MA4&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsino-platonic.org%2Fcomplete%2Fspp259_tocharian_origins.pdf&usg=AFQjCNH-ruGF4sLDg3JgpNwD6MjG3BlfAg So he says any Iranian (Aryan) influence with the Tarim Basin would not have been until 1000 BCE whereas the Tarim Basim - as the image shows - goes back to 3300 BCE. So look at this image - it shows how Iranian (Aryan) is a later (I chose the format option of italicization instead of enlargement, I hope that is o.k. with the mods) "encirclement" of the Tokharians of the Tarim Basin. I'm quoting Victor Mair's pdf Emphasis of changing the font and bolding it is not in the original - so please don't harp on me mods for making that formatting change.
