  1. Try sleeping somewhere else for a week and see if these problems go away, then return to your new residence. If you get these symptoms again when you return, then it must be something in the room. Perhaps invisible mold. Apparently there are professionals who can clean that kind of stuff...but make sure that's what it is first by sleeping elsewhere. On the other hand, if you sleep somewhere else for a week, and are still having these symptoms, then perhaps it's a problem internally. Or perhaps it's a new detergent you've been using for washing your pillowcase...which you could test by trying a new detergent, as well as a different washing machine, then seeing if it goes away.

Your signs and symptoms could be many different things in Chinese medicine (probably over 10 different types of zangfu patterns)...you won't be successful if you attempt to diagnose yourself. For the nocturnal emissions I would go see a practitioner, although it happening only occasionally isn't too much of a cause for concern.

You are healthy...no need for worrying. And sleep repairs your body, regardless of if you wake up with irritated eyes or not. Ensure that you're staying hydrated by drinking enough water throughout the day.

  2. Also, I am reading the other threads and discovered about Kunlun.  There were many problems happened in China when it was popular.  So many qigong masters have actually forbid it.

It seems like you're maybe talking about spontaneous movement qigong? Kunlun isn't really the same thing...it's a certain posture, basically.

  3. If nothing is actually shared here then newbies here are just going to make the same mistakes as you guys maybe even worse.

Let's be real here saying "It's not a good idea, believe me" doesn't really stop us from trying - if anything it's only going to make us try harder.

It's only my duty to warn people when I think it's necessary...it's not my duty to make your decisions for you. The nature of advice is always that you can consider it (if you're wise), and then take it or leave it.

You bring up a good point...the most profound way to learn anything is the hard way. Not simply taking other people's advice, but finding out why they give that advice through personal experience. Sometimes things don't even make sense until you do that...only later do you realize why there were warnings.

  4. Sweet potato has proven very useful. Just poke holes in it, put it in the oven at 425 for an hour, then shut the oven off, and take out after a while...so easy.

I make sure to have staples from each macronutrient category, for each meal (so that it's filling)...

carbs: sweet potato, homemade whole wheat bread, and homemade cream of whole wheat

proteins: eggs, tuna+mayo, shrimp, cod, beef, cottage cheese, paneer

    fats: butter, olive oil

sides and snacks: salad greens, kalamata olives, raspberries or other fruits that look good

    A few meal examples:

    1) have salad greens with olive oil and a tiny bit of lemon juice on top, kalamatas on the side...baked sweet potato with a dab of butter, and shrimp fried up with lemon juice, brown sugar, black pepper and salt.

    2) mix up tuna and mayo, put it on a piece or two of the whole wheat toast, salt and pepper on top...some olives on the side

    3) in the morning I could have a small bowl of homemade cream of wheat that's been soaked in water 12 hours before cooking with some milk and butter, flavor it with a small amount of brown sugar...also medium boil 3 eggs.

I'm new to the whole staple thing, being someone who has tended to eat at restaurants or have frozen pizza primarily for years. For a person like me, it's important to have staples that are easy and filling while being reliably healthy. The next step is making them more palatable, to compete with the great tasting restaurant food...if food isn't really palatable, then is it truly healthy for us? These current staple foods and meals don't even compare to eating out, but they save money and are at least generally whole foods without a bunch of other stuff in them.

  5. Which means petitioners to support the application. Those I know about have most definitely been asked to join which I would assume is the first petitioner ?

They weren't supposed to be invited or asked to join. The way it works is that you meet some of the masons first after inquiring about joining the lodge of your own free will, and then they vouch for you (or not) when the time comes.

  6. I believe it's by invitation only.

Actually that's against their tenets. Prospective members have to petition in...just go there and ask about it.

I haven't joined personally, but have heard that if you're wanting to know a bunch of occult stuff, it's not the place to look. However, it's what they say, a symbolic system of morality. However, this just comes from what I've heard, so take that as it is...basically gossip.

  7. What's that exactly?

Well, this isn't the whole method by any means, but this is what I recall of a portion of it (the book is cheap)...

Stage one: Lay on belly (prone position) with arms at sides while relaxing the low back and butt muscles for a couple of minutes or until they release. Do this every 2 hours of the day ideally.

Stage two: perform stage one. Now place the elbows beneath you, like a sphinx posture, and rest on them while letting the belly drop so that the low back kind of extends...once again relax the low back and butt muscles. After a couple of minutes, or when the muscles release and it feels totally comfortable, return back to stage one and repeat it.

Stage 3: perform stage one. Perform stage two. Now place the palms on the ground beneath you and straighten the arms, while letting the belly drop and low back extend...relax the muscles as before until it feels normal and comfortable or for a couple of minutes. Return to stage 2. Return to stage one. This is still done ideally every 2 hours.

It's best for degenerative disc patients, apparently...but I found that it works for low back pain in general too. You start modest and wait until there is some improvement before going up to the next stage. The idea behind the method is that you're basically moving the lumbar vertebrae so that the muscles surrounding them get used to being in a position of extension, which is how the lumbar is supposed to work...many people especially with low back pain tend to sit most of the day, so this counteracts that by doing a normal body movement they barely ever do. Regarding degenerative disc...there's also a kind of theory in the McKenzie method that you want the pain to centralize around the vertebrae rather than radiate down the legs for instance, so this method is known to help with that centralization. I'm sure there's a lot that I don't recall about it, too.

By the way, chronic low back pain is generally a Kidney deficiency issue.

  8. What is your form in regard to punching in training?

Some say to hit with the first two knuckles with the wrist in a straight line and the palm facing down...this is a more modern version which is aimed at not causing boxer's fracture.

The old way, as in Jack Dempsey's book, which I think is superior in terms of having good alignment in the punch and therefore power, is to hit with the last three knuckles, but at the same time to avoid hitting predominantly with the pinky. A way to do this is to focus on hitting with the radial side of the ring finger's knuckle. This style of punching is also done with the palm facing the opposite side of the body, rather than pointed down...by punching that way it minimizes the chances of hitting the pinky knuckle. Lets say you use this style, with the palm facing downward, in a hook...that will cause the boxer's fracture.

Seems to me that the old style requires slower training of the muscle memory to ensure that a boxer's fracture isn't going to happen...the body has to get used to avoiding the pinky finger.

  9. I'd say that too much is when you're peeing very often...then the qi can be drained over a period of time. Otherwise, the increased qi flow that you feel might be due to a release of qi stagnation, which only benefits the qi rather than drains it. Tea is also said to raise the yang, and it's used in a formula that treats the head and promotes a release of wind from the exterior...so over a period of time it could also drain the qi when there is already wei deficiency. Maybe someone more knowledgeable could correct me about these things.

From what I understand, tea is gentle compared to other herbs, and white tea is the most gentle of the teas. Your dosage is small in terms of herbs in general.

  10. Well, I want to make it clear that while I have been supportive of Jamyang's ideas, I do have (what I consider to be) friends on this forum and outside of it who are gay and I don't personally disparage those people by any means...I also think it's against the forum policy to speak ill of gays or really any group, since we want to make people feel welcome and safe here. My silence from this point forward is out of respect for those forum members, despite the topic being somewhat interesting.

  11. His post indicates he's been alive for AT LEAST nine presidents....but the "vital topic for the world to know" is that Obama is the Demon King. Hmm...can't quite put my finger on what's different about Obama....C'mon.

Well the color of his skin or bloodline isn't the only thing that's different about him, of course. He also fought for indefinite detention without trial in the NDAA, which nullifies the Bill of Rights...the first President to openly declare war on what America was supposed to be about: liberty of its citizens. The same President who withdrew troops from Iraq before the country was truly stable, and permitted the Islamic State to rise and spread into there (perhaps with some of his weapons and money from Syria), while doing nothing about it. Now the IS has actually killed four American servicemen on our own soil, but who cares, right? There have been many other bad things but those are the worst in my view.

Pro tip: if a person is actually racist, they will make it obvious to you rather than it being something you have to assume about them.

Also, consider a world where certain people are off limits to being criticized just because of their race, because that would be deemed as racist, whereas others can be criticized to no end because they're not that race. Isn't that taking things a bit too far, and isn't it crippling us if we don't treat everyone equally? Nothing bad can be said about a person who is black by a white person, but everything bad can be said about white people? What if it's not coming from a place of racism in any sense?

At least personally I didn't pick up on anything of the sort coming from the OP.

I mean, on a strictly literal level, you're right. I just think this kind of thing is poisonous garbage and I'm disappointed to see it here. Having said my peace, I'm happy to withdraw myself and let you guys wind yourselves into a state paralyzing paranoia.

I think you're right that it's basically at the level of poisonous garbage. It's fringe conspiracy theory wrapped in with religious prophecy...not something very worthwhile to pursue in life or in thought (for too long). Still, it can be interesting to look at and contemplate various aspects of it...at least to me. I found it really interesting that the stage where Obama spoke at the 08 convention looked almost exactly like the Pergamon altar, coincidentally just shortly after he visited the place where that altar is now in Berlin.

  12. I agree Michael, it's said about pretty much any popular figure. Right now, the current pope is also the antichrist and according to some other prophecy he will be the last pope...Prince Harry is also the antichrist (whose full birth name actually equals out to the number through gematria apparently). Bush Jr was the antichrist, just like his father who called for the NWO...the last pope was the antichrist, and the future President will be called the antichrist too most likely. Of course the leader of the IS is also the antichrist, literally.

Actually the Biblical teaching is that there are many antichrists, but one will be the main figure as described in Revelation (if it's actually a prophecy regarding the future, and not metaphorical). It's also pretty accurately speculated that the emperor Nero way back when the book was written, was the antichrist being spoken of.

Despite conspiracy theories being wild and largely inaccurate, there is a hint of truth in them and in the fact that odd correspondences or coincidences do occur around certain people at certain times. Some people believe that "everything happens for a reason"...which if taken in a light way can mean that everything we witness is a revealing of the hidden mechanisms of the Dao, for those who have eyes and ears to see and hear...but taken another step further can lead us into the loony bin. (Been there done that)

In any case, in my opinion, if he was the dark lord, he's done a pretty good job during a difficult time, facing hostile opposition at every turn, for every decision.

Face it, an intelligent anti-christ would probably say screw subtlety, I'll just launch these 50 nuclear missiles on day one.  Instead we've had imo a pragmatist in office.

He has not faced hostile opposition, but rather, apathy from the American public (that's why he's still in office and not in prison for treason)...in the face of his administration attempting to dismantle the Bill of Rights in some subtle and not so subtle ways.

I think according to the Bible, the antichrist is supposed to be pretty popular with the masses, rather than someone who is obviously evil.

  13. While I don't really believe much of the theories regarding Obama to be the antichrist, it is certainly interesting the number of connections we can find there. Some of them are pretty shocking...for instance the 2008 Democratic national convention being made to resemble the Pergamon altar, which in the Bible was called the throne of Satan, which was also something Hitler and the Nazis used in their designs.

One can find tons of connections (some very interesting, some bogus) over at the conspiracy forum godlikeproductions.com

I'm interested to hear more about the Kalachakra prophecies.

    Welcome!

  14. Everything is possible, but everything has consequences.

What is your real goal here? What's the purpose of separating orgasm from ejaculation?

Birth control? Spirituality? Longevity? Just something interesting to accomplish? Having several dozen colleges full of hotties for you?

There might be some misunderstandings you are operating from, due to false teachings. Like the idea that it could be used for spiritual development for instance.

  15. I think I may have given myself slight kidney+liver yang deficiencies

It may be true, especially with the Kidney, that there is deficiency (the same can be said for basically any person)...but in terms of using Chinese Medicine pattern diagnosis, one has to take a look at the whole picture. Use all 4 pillars of diagnosis, don't discount any signs or symptoms...then a certain pattern will be most predominant, and despite having some Kidney deficiency, the predominant pattern would be the one that needs addressing. When you treat the predominant issue, then other issues are benefited...the Kidney becomes less drained when the whole system is functioning more efficiently. Getting a correct diagnosis really requires seeing a Chinese medicine practitioner. Just my view, for your info!
