Ahhh good times.
-
Really cool. I hope you one day write your story!
-
Yeah that was spot on.

From the single seminar I've been to, what they did on the lecture night was talk about what the whole kunlun thing is about and what would happen during the next couple days for the people who were going. Some of the students did a demonstration of a healing, but I'm not sure if they typically do demonstrations during the free part. I think she should go!

Welcome!
I was there too!
-
Well that's alot closer to Wisconsin than New Jersey was.
I could probably make it depending on when it was.

Hey Heidi,
Â
I'm glad there is another kunluner here.

Hmm the quiet end...by the pitchers of water? Were you the girl with the shaking head? If so I actually did meet you on the first night. If not, then I'm stumped.
Â
I'm also stumped about the don't tilt your head back thing...which doesn't make any sense?
Â
Sorry to go off topic
Â
So back on topic, I agree with Michael. I'd also like to add: keep smiling.
Â
So anyway, the only time that I remember Max really discussing the sound is when he was talking about the time of day to practice, and he said at 3-3:15am if you stand and look at the stars outside then open yourself to the energy, you will get a cold sensation and then the sound will be intense...then something will happen, which he didn't discuss. So that's all I can really remember.
-
He didn't want you to tilt your head back?
Or are you kidding? I ask because lately in practice my head's been tipping back QUITE a bit...I always just let the body do whatever it "wants".
Â
By the way, too bad I didn't get to meet you there.....where were you?

Cam went to FIVE seminars!?
Â
I, Scott, fall into category 2: One seminar and will go to another when possible.
-
Hey Jazz,
Â
I was glad you joined the bums for the extra time with Max. The more the merrier.

Jan's laughing was so infectious...even now if I think about it I start cracking up.

Namaste Swami Jai,
Â
I don't know what exactly the energy of kunlun is. You probably know as well as I do.
Â
Max taught us standing 5 elements which can be more like a tai chi flow, and it is GREAT in addition to kunlun. My favorite practice! He also showed us a bagua form which also is good with it. There is a new book coming out some time which has some of the stuff in it.

Joeblast,
Â
Yep I think you're right, I just forgot what it was called.

Hey Gloria,
Â
It was great to meet you! Yeah I had to rush out to make it to Cleveland before too late, so as soon as the red dragon thing was over I rushed out of there.
Â
Haha...that's funny about his crew beeping him out. Interesting thought about that coyote thing, how maybe you are thinking he just says stuff to make you find your own truth. Could be true!
Â
Yeah, I have actually found some truth from practicing kunlun that I thought was fantastical. The energy moves me a lot now! Much more than at the seminar. Before I was thinking it may have just been the legs getting tired, but now I'm amazed that I'm actually experiencing an energy and it truly seems to be awakening my body's potential!
Â
So the 5 Elements story is something close to:
Â
Wood burns in the
Fire creating ash which goes into the
Earth which creates
Metal (I forgot how this one connects)
Water
Â
I don't think it's all that necessary to pm that info, since it's not giving anything away.
-
Wow that was good.

Hey Scott from AYP here.
Â
I just made reservations for the quite expensive room. I can cancel before 6 pm on the 2nd though, so if anyone is willing to share some floor space, I'll give you some money for it. Otherwise, if I end up keeping the room then I will have an extra bed for someone to crash on for 2 nights.

What is the Kunlun Energy
in General Discussion

Wun Yuen Gong,
Â
The best way to begin practice is going to a seminar. There you will learn red phoenix, and you'll also learn if all of it will conflict with your own practice by asking Max directly.
Â
Personally, I don't know anything about golden dragon body...pretty far off goal right now. What I love about kunlun is how well it accomplishes all the great aspects of good qigong (and yoga, which I was originally into) practice in one piece of cake form. No more wondering about whether the practice is effective - all I have to do is sit back and watch it be more effective than I could ever imagine!
Â
Anyway, if you still doubt whether this is a good way to go or not, then just do what you think is best. I don't think anyone really cares to CONVINCE you that this is a great thing to do. If you are interested, then learn more the correct way: by going to a seminar and practicing.
