  1. Going vegetism and beyond

Let's rephrase it: he needs to look for help be it holistic doctor, acupuncturist, or therapist or information from the book, website, conference, radio, etc. in regard to "concern with his health state". remember rule number one?"Do no harm"...

why don't you go get yourself a nice pho? it always warms my being to have a good hearty pho. And you can go seafood route... p.s. have not read this book, but perhaps is good stuff also ( in regard to the place of Dao Bums) https://books.google.com/books?id=1RKZDQAAQBAJ&pg=PT182&lpg=PT182&dq=pho+and+daoist+soups&source=bl&ots=LbGA01bJfm&sig=8o79Ley0j201k63zASU-4qPxaNE&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj3j6P07_TUAhUU8mMKHaSmBCkQ6AEITzAG#v=onepage&q=pho and daoist soups&f=false

it's not a cookbook per se, but a view on a diet according to TCM. "Much( or not) use" of any type of food would be for any issue to balance a specific pattern. Who "restricted" your diet? ( i.e. blood tests/doctors or "it might be good not to.." I HIGHLY recommend this book. You can probably find it at the library and check it first before you want to buy it. Another option is a bookstore ( our B&N has it, some "metaphysical" stores might have it as well. ) "read with coffee", before you buy it. Diet ( as to go back to OP) is one of the "number one" things in TCM. While I will not publicly diagnose topic starter, but from what he is describing, there is a strong pattern shows which could be "easily" fixed with a proper diet( not necessarily meat). If you read amazon reviews of the book, you can see few examples of people having "chronic issues" resolved. Given this is a very specific forum about cultivation, if he was in my care, I would strongly suggest for him to revisit his diet according to his training stage. It is VERY important for anybody who is into Daoists Arts ( even as "little stretching for health") to review their diet. Believe it or not, but sometimes big fat slice of pizza is what is needed the most. My Sifu always tells me that story when we talk about "food and cultivation". Basically, what topic starter is describing is a very common thing, and it is okay to a certain point in practice, but then, when "kick to the next level" is needed, masters would actually feed students with meat and fats and such. ( and I am not talking about practices of tantric "shocks" here, that's a different psychological( not exactly correct term) thing). Why would they feed them? To balance what is missing/deficient. It is a highly individualized thing though. I.e. not something "cat from internet told me to eat xyz". p.s. please take all of the above as a "an online post from a cat on internet". just sayin'... because there is so much details into "healthy happy human being" and very individualized even if doctor is matching patterns and treating it.

    you welcome https://www.amazon.com/Healing-Whole-Foods-Traditions-Nutrition/dp/1556434308/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499348008&sr=8-1&keywords=healing+with+foods
  5. somebody should create a class "Everything they told you so far is a lie, or how to read Tao Te Ching in 21st century" and through some taichi there for kids to learn:P
  6. I read it few days ago on facebook. I was actually thinking to write about it in my Qi Deviation thread as there are certain symptoms the girl exhibited which to a trained TCM doctor would show the way to heal her out of it. Unfortunately, they did not have proper training to deal with it. Are there people on the forum who run such retreats? I am curious to hear how do they deal with it? From what I am understanding it is all about the spiritual strength of the teacher. I.e. will he/she be able to shield a student from the attack or not. Apparently, the battle for the souls is very real...
  7. Geometry Within Brain

read this few times.. and each time I read "geometry with Brian..." who is Brian?:P
  8. as a "sentient tool" I gotta work to do... obviously we have some karma... p.s. tea cakes?
  9. wow... if you have done any internal alchemy, you would know I just gave you a first key to what you seek... but as I said, you are boring and predictable... I will make tea for your elders. I know etiquette. Make sure after they have my tea they won't spank you for embarrassing them:P
  10. you don't want me to shove your enlightenment in your &^&? Too bad... p.s. you are boring and predictable as any average Joe Doe obsessed with his d&ck. I would consider meditate on this conversation today and find patterns you see in your life of how you behave with females. Perhaps some "enlightenment" will hit you.
  11. and where did you learn that first? What imprinted such behavior in you? Why do you think it's an acceptable behavior? Was your father abusing your mother? Were you lacking motherly love to create the statement that bliss can only be stolen? Are you not feeling worthy As-IS that you need to resort to force?
  12. Gospel of Thomas

May I ask why do you post it now? ( like last post was half a year ago until yesterday)? Just wondering...
  13. given you are worthy... that's the catch... good luck with mental masturbation... Topic Starter might attract such female though...
  14. there are so many roads of this... I am actually working on something theoretical, perhaps will be either a PhD dissertation or something like (DAOM). I would honestly keep the pain part in theory only, but I doubt that's the case:P hope your path in painless...
  15. that's correct but I am not talking about that part. Whoever wrote this quote seemed to talk about few things which are not spoken usually, thus, the interest. Yes, ( see my PDD on Qi Deviations, won't go here into details). However, again, at certain point or practice "PAIN" seems to be a pre-requisite. Perhaps my English is not good enough to find proper description of the state linked closely to pain. The key to the practices ( I think) is that it is not constant. It hits you, it "washes you" and spits you out with a cleaner sparklier Self. Perhaps with more clarity and couple extra siddhis in the process... Until the next "wash" cycle... Eradicating acquired post-natal crap takes time... any lineage has "preliminaries", thus, again, the interest in the quote of the original author who said that... meow...

I hope you have a teacher or at least someone ( sitter?) to smack you when things don't go well. Good luck.
  17. Do you have a teacher? Mine specifically instructed what to do in such situations ( but I think he kind of telepathically put that "safety switch" in my brain. Sometimes when things get really strange, I feel he( his helpers?) kind of "kicks me out" of that state to reality). None of what mind produces is real ( even very real physical pain - you just need to allow it to be.) Focus on your task and ignore all those plays of mind. ( easier said than done, my cycle runs about 36 hours on this and then I get somewhat "functional" with new insights again. For example, two weeks ago after the work I did with Sifu it was about 36 hours of pure "energy pain" and some weird stuff ( I am convinced Daoists' "paper tigers" skills are real:P ), but now that it is cleared I have very interesting revelations. As you said, it is a cycle, it helps knowing that suffering is not forever ( as pleasure also)...
  18. you are VERY fine. You are not crazy or insane. And Everything will be ok. And do visit Christian Church. what part of the country are you? I would take you to my lama. teal keyword...

  20. Ten land buddhisatvas

funny... This morning, before I woke up, I had a dream about Jesus ( qualifies as nice/helpful person?) reading me a book about what Jesus actually said. And I was thinking, wait a second, Jeff actually told us about Gospels and I did buy one ( but did not read yet)... Given last night I was at the fire puja, perhaps there is some connection to my dream... but obviously my lands are more of cats' lands than buddhas:) gotta read the Gospel now...
