  1. Energy and Superpowers!

With time I tend to think more and more of peaceful and smart living as the real superpowers, and fantastic skills as an addiction to power. And once you get them, are they 'super' anymore?
  2. Everyone post some favorite quotes!

" Alchemy doesn't work if you are inconsistent. If you work on it when you are in the mood, but then get distracted by things and slack off when this mood wanes, then your spirit is influenced and your energy taken away when you are not practicing, just like someone with no accomplishment at all. Even if you get into the mood to work again, it will be like lacing with too many missing strings—it won't be effective at all." Thomas Cleary(?) I like this one, it's pretty direct. BTW, for those who read Practical Taoism: how should I understand the following paragraph? "Taoist study cannot have any externals burdening the mind. If you are preoccupied with family affairs, political or professional affairs, social intercourse, charms and spells, curing and divining, literature, riding, music, martial arts, gambling, or handicrafts, all of this will inhibit your mind and confuse your essential nature, so you should be very wary of it." Is that a general thing, or does it refer to the time when you choose to practice?
  3. What are your favorite qigong forms?

Has anybody had experience with Daoist Five Yin qigong as presented here?

  5. Everything that washes the restlessness away. Two most helpful to me right now are: 1. Cold showers. 2. Satiating meals, with lots of warm fat. Doesn't go a day for me without two meals of vegetable bowl dripping with coconut oil, hehe. And actually, getting occupied, so you don't really "have time to notice it" but only enough so that you have some time for stretching and stuff, and +7 hrs of sleep. I tried some orange/cinnammon/ginger fragrance oil recently, but it was irritating me, so be careful with aromatherapy. I'm also taking a whole array of vitamins and fo ti and adrenal cortex lol, but you can't really rely on that either. Objectively I'm still not an energetic powerhouse myself, but I can manage, and run after a bus if needed. What I read here, and what folks here have graciously advised me, also some strange stuff like not keeping my head in the clouds and being down to earth really helped. Maybe I'm even becoming kinda boring, I don't mind.
  6. So I just tried doing some qigong from this video and while doing forms 2 and 3 I experienced strong and not very pleasant burning sensations in my wrists and the bases of my palms, and also an "overstretching" kind of pain in my elbows. I suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome so that's probably where it's coming from. So I wonder, if this practice is at all suitable for me or not. Does anybody have any suggestions please? I've been doing lot's of cts stretches and exercises for the last 2 years but it seems it just doesn't want to go away for good. Thanks, P.
  7. 8 Brocades and Burning sensations

So it has taken me a while longer to make myself finally write back on the issue as you asked. But here I Go! Like you said, after a week of doing exactly what you said I was almost symptom free(I never exceeded 25 secs of contraction though). I continued doing it for 5 weeks until now. About 3 weeks ago I could still feel it from time to time while working at the computer, which I'm doing now for unbelievable 8hrs a day. Right now it's like 95% gone, so I will continue, but man, that thing really did it! And I really cannot believe it was soo freaking effective. This exercise has been a godsend for me. Thank you thank you THANK YOU SPACESTER!!! ps. I should add: I tried countless other things; hot/cold water, stretches of all kind, massages of all kind, herbal remedies, stripes, physiotherapy, lasers, ultrasounds, accupuncture, steroids(!!!), relaxants, water fasting... Sick! Nothing worked nearly as effectively as that!
  8. What amulets or talismans are you using and in what circumstances? Do you make your own? Do you perform rituals with them, how do you work with them? I've only used stone rings but I've been very curious about the subject.
  9. Magical Knowledge

At 58:20 of the second interview she starts talking about "the crossing of the abyss" while doing it a person died. "That's not because we've done that, rather the energy of 30 people was there to take that person through their death vision quickly, and so it was a service"(I'm paraphrasing mind you). Wow nice way to explain unexpected death...
  10. Super enzyme Serrapeptase and Lower dantian

  12. TM is not real meditation, it is more like hypnosis

Is this method suitable for most people? I have some joint issues, and cold weather makes them worse. Would I benefit if I persevered?

  17. This is QiGong, right?

    Yeah especially occultists.
  18. Life After Death? Life After Life?

After reading your post I thought: well after all if nature takes care of the body after death and it doesnt disappear, so mustnt consciusness disappear.
  19. This is QiGong, right?

Hi Rocky, nice to hear hehe. I thought that this kind of forum is all about interpreting every single line of daoist text ever written, in a somewhat approachable manner. To be honest I didnt really dig deep into the dedicated section for that reason. Some folks here are using too much abstract terms and academic logic, which is a bit too much for me. Others just rumble, which is fine, but gives an impression of daoism being a trivial thing. I guess what I would like to see more of are things like detailed descriptions of certain experiences, testimonials of practitioners and more of a down to earth analogies. Not wanting to come across as ignorant, as I know that is to be found here too(I just get distracted by the weirdosa, and dont have time to study DDJ after lol). Could be that I came here too late, and all the good stuff has been dealed with and buried in time. Too bad.
  20. This is QiGong, right?

Fod better or worse, this forum came out to be very different than I expected it to be.
  21. Noob!

Has anybody heard of Doug McGuffs Body by Science and super slow HIT workout? I think I'll try that today.
