  3. En*light*enment

Show me were your true nature lives? or Show me were your true nature doesn't live? What else could there be other then this perfect moment between heaven and earth? If you have enlightenment then you have endarkenment. In the purity of simple stillness how can anything be achieved?
  4. Look to the native wattle. particularly acacia madensii(spelling?) Just google dmt+acacia.
  5. Into the Wild

Unfortunately the truth and the movie are not one and the same thing. Basically the young fellow died because he didn't use common sense. There is no truth to him ingesting a poisinous herb. He starved to death. He starved to death in a region with waters full of fish. He chose to spend his last days in an abandon bus in the middle of a flat swampy area, a couple days easy walk from civilisation. There was constructed river crossing only a couple of miles from the bus. Fortunately the sound track makes up for the films lack of integrity. I find no heroics in his actions only a lingering sadness, that the world he was raised in cared more for money then for love.
  6. Does anyone here practice

Best of practice Silent Illumination whole heartedly-great view.
  7. Full moon water

Great thread. I'M going to make some moon water tonight! What if we create a spinning votex in the water? Clockwise yang? Reverse clockwise yin? What about sometimely words spoken into the swirling moon water? Is there an I ching reading for such a thing?
  8. The Ego

Regardless of what we do or don't do, the sky remains blue behind the clouds.
  9. Karma in taoism

Excellent post Hagar. The implications of karma are so encompassing and profound, it would be foolish to ignore the time wasted on wondering about its various and multiple manifestations. Surely karma is born like everything else when the one becomes two.
  10. Tracing religion back to its source?

How people interact with the land and the types of enviorment they live in dictate their expression of belief. For instance the mythology of archaic paleoithic hunters is common within a given latitudinal range. Remarkabley similar belief systems are expressed in peoples that share a particular climatic region even though they have no historical contact with one another. The mythologies and belief systems of Amazon indigenous,Central African, and south east asian rainforest dwellers share many and corresponding beliefs inregards to birth, adolescense, marriage and magic. Also of note is the effect agriculture has upon belief systems. The nature of agriculture forces the human pscyhe to change on profound levels and many of standard religions of today are a direct result of this. Hinduism,Buddhism,Judeoism,Christanity,Islam, and religious Taoism are all offspring of Agriculture. Agriculture not only cultivates the land but it also harness time.I will plant this seed today and reap my reward in the future. This simple act has had a profound impact on how all of us percieve reality. Agriculture stopped people from wandering, created class divide, encouraged greed and as we see so clearly today creates massive enviromental damage. The panetheon of Gods, which we may label as relgion, can only exsist in a well furrowed highly managed landscape. The beginning of relgion starts with the knowlege of "Good and evil."

  16. The opposit of FUK = YIP

Thank you for your reply. I think I'Am begining to understand. How important in your lineage is the altar? and can a student benifit if they are not phiscally in the temple? Also does your lineage bestow faat on anyone who enrols or is there a qualification required by the lineage holders?
  17. The opposit of FUK = YIP

Great. Thank You for your reply. So much of what makes the practice effective is the clarity of one intention and the strength of ones link to the lineage? You mention that the lineage power is then within oneself after attunement,by what means does this transference take place? Bows.
  18. The opposit of FUK = YIP

Mak-tin-si. Could you please explain how chanting mantra can resolve ones negative yip or karma. Thank You for your contributions. I find your posts both challenging and insightful.
  19. Cycle of YIN and YANG in a day

Mak-Tin-Si, Does your lineage have any views on which direction one should face in regards to balancing the yin-yang in the body? And if so does it matter which hemishpere one resides,i.e south or north. Blessings.
  20. Being helped along the Way

HI SJ, The problems you face are those which present themselves to anyone who follows the sorcers path. Perhaps the single biggest hurdle, is that which we define as our world view. If we construct a dwelling are we prepared then to dwell in it? Do the sounds of the night haunt us when we are alone,or can we rest? What is it that truly is troubling our spirit? What is it we are defending ourselves from and what are we defending? Under the clear light of truth can there be any shades? Why do we put off doing what we know should be done?
  21. OBEs, Vibrations, Lucid Dreaming

Hi Baloneyx. From what you have written you have had some real exprience. Did you learn a method or does this just happen to you? From my limited exprience the sense of or feeling of vibration is a key indicator. Sometimes you can adjust the frequency of the vibration by moving your bottom jaw slightly, I have found this to be very beneficial depending on your intentions. All life vibrates. Some vibrations can be helpful others harmful it pays to be aware of this. The problems I have encountered (again my exprience is limited)is maintaining clear awarness while in an altered state. I have found by practiseing One pointed meditation this enables me to have some degree of clear cognition during the night. For more indepth study of this please refer to Tibetan dream yoga. OBEs or lucid dreaming are very similiar at least superficially to what is known in Tibetan as The Bardo of Becoming, which is the state most people describe when they have a Near Death Exprience. Thus the empahsis on continued clear cognition during the night. If we cannot maintain control at night during sleep what chance then do we have at death? Some techniques I have found that help. Have a point of reference be it a ring on your finger, your hand, a word, anything that you can continue to bring your focus back too. Take your time, relax, try not to be distracted by sounds or colour or movement.Continue to bring your attention back to your point of reference. Weather we think what is happening is real or not, does it matter? Surely it is more fun to explore. Remember that the constraints of the wakeing world no longer apply. Given enough time your true intentions will emerge. It is beneficial to have protection when out and about.Calling upon the name of that which you hold in highest regard, takes you were it is best to go. Happy journeys. Ps Putting your left foot behind your right calf while flying helps to maintain momentum.
  22. Cycle of YIN and YANG in a day

Mak-tin-si- Thankyou for your contributions. If for example one wanted to increase their kidney yang by what means would your lineage do this? Would you factor in the time of day?
  23. Daoists usually die

Well said Micheal. Discussions about karma generally make me cringe.
