fair enough but we'll see who turns up on those days. if it's just members of that one particular group i think that answers the question. multiple chat rooms is definitely a better solution. one for the 'serious energy practices' and another for people who just want to shoot the shit.

for the sake of transparency whose idea was it to open up the chat for 'energy practices'? because if it happens to be people from a certain group (apparently it wasn't Jeff) they already have at least one site and private chat room set aside for doing this type of work. if it was others then fair enough, but if it is them, it's interesting they keep pushing to establish their practice in the chat here despite objections.

my teacher likened some of these substances akin to a 'sledge hammer' approach and indeed they can literally crack things open. but often it can be hard to integrate some of these quantum experiences into everyday life. the yo-yo effect back to normality can be dramatic and destabilizing in itself, depending on the coherence of ones environment and the type of stuff we're holding onto. a safer approach would be to go on a meditation retreat within a recognised lineage/master. i found receiving teachings and being taught a practice was far more insightful in terms of peeling back the layers of ego, unpicking everyday negative habit patterns, than a one-off plant based experience. both can be profound, but the former was hard to integrate, at least for myself. i'd be interested in taking ayahuasca in it's proper context with a real shaman, but i'm uncertain what it could do for me after being given the 411 of what's going on in the here and now. for westerners, waking up is gonna be a gradual process that unfolds once the seeds are sown. things aren't always gonna go our way so we need a toolset for dealing with that, first and foremost.

the reason clinton isn't in jail is the same reason no bankers went to prison following the 08 crisis (on the contrary they were bailed out) despite the subsequent cases of fraud that keep hatching out (LIBOR etc) - it's called selective application of the law, to perpetuate a rigged, deeply corrupt system. the racket is so utterly fragile that holding things to account to any integrity would collapse the whole thing. trump alluded to this in the debate when he said it's a bubble and that the zero interest rate policy is propping up the market. it's going to end badly, whichever way you slice it. the longer this goes on the worse the fallout will be for the average american. you can only export inflation to china for so long... so the recovery is a bunch of BS based on printed money trickling down from the financial elite. none of the underlying imbalances that caused it (made possible by over-financialization, debt) have been addressed. it's ironic clinton accused trump of his own style of trickle down as both obama and herself are wall street candidates through and through.

I like free speech. Let laws be enacted on ones actions, let hateful speech be frowned upon, marginalised, not banned. The haters will suffer the consequences of unwholesome mind states regardless. I also disagree with many aspects of copyright law, again similar to free speech. These ideas run contrary to the nature of ideas to be free. There's a greed element there and it's ultimately not in societies best interests.
