  1. This breath you Now take was first given.

Every atom of your body was once soil, and will become soil again.

This is true for every living being.

What more could you ask of the earth than to freely provide 'every-thing'?

All non-sustainable processes cease.  This is inevitable.  Laws of man are delusions that sometimes appear to work through hired goons being willing to coercively stack harms.  The enforcement of laws of nature need no assistance, if a species chooses to live in ways that the environment doesn't support, this system is rapidly re-balanced through extinction.  No amount of man writing down 'environmental policy' has any negotiation clout with real Law (natural Law, the Way), either choices are made to live in a sustainable way, or the single alternative choice which is to cease being sustained.

  2. The body is a fleetingly temporary loan of energy.  It's function is to enable some sensation/perception experiences to aid self-realization.

There is no-thing to know, and the mind is incapable of knowing more than it's own fabricated artifacts of perception limitations.

Live each moment with awareness this isn't a 'practice' run of living, ones body will crumble to dust used or unused alike.

Recognize there is no shame and nothing to be feared in death, it's the singular divine entitlement the universe kindly provides.

A shameful life is one spent fearfully clinging to the yet-to-be-completely-rotted body, and in doing so living as though death already claimed oneself while the heart still beats.

Seek experience and embrace it with equanimous unconditional Love.

  3. You can judge if you want, but then you have to prove that what I say isn't true. If everything I say is true, then where is the arrogance ? If I am saying something is true, but I believe otherwise, or doubt what I say, then that wouldn't be arrogance, it would be a lie.

    visual-thesaurus.jpg

A visual thesaurus shows all human made words are inherently linked (because they are all human perception constructs), and any two can be linked typically in under 10 levels of synonymic abstractions.  Each word is inherently some human's subjective perception filtered unique to that minds map of constructs.

For this reason, when one tries to put Truth into words, one quickly finds words are not a vessel with the capacity to hold more than some degrees of subjective perception constructs.  This is why, in Santa Cruz here, when it's 65degF outside, people bundle up and wear hoodies and gloves and say it's a very cold day.  For an Eskimo, this same 65degF day may be hotter than they have ever fathomed was possible to achieve, and would be busting out the slip-n-slides.   Same human, and neither is incorrect or untrue to themselves, both have the same human skin and nerves and senses to perceive the environment, but as words are inherently subjective one declares it's a very cold day and one declares it's a very hot day, both are 'truth' to the limits of the words as they subjectively know them to be.

A decade ago, I lived in an illusion I was filled with 'truth' and 'knew things' and believed that anytime I wanted I could just jot down some perceived to me as a factual non-fallacious statement and it was truth.

Now every-thing, every-word, every-phrase, every-book,  shows itself clearly rooted in the origins of some humans faith based assumption of knowing.  This includes all of science, all of philosophy, all of religion, etc.

To use the example with the Apple, no matter how many webs of subjective perception qualities of 'apple-ness' we create and introduce, and no matter how many games we create and apply towards methods of re-arrangement and cross-checking for agreement/disagreement with our 'apple-ness' terms, and no matter how skilled our game of 'apple-ness' term comparison becomes, or how many tomes of 'apple-ness' related analysis and poetry we craft, it still doesn't equate the apple, it just moves further from the primary source of apple-ness (the apple) into fabricated construct delusion of apple-ness alone.

There are word games taught for boxing-up and hence controlling 'weak' minds, there are word games taught for boxing-up and controlling/limiting the thought domain of average minds (Trivium), and there are word games taught for boxing-up of strong minds (CTMU, etc).

After mastering any of the word game systems, one is left with mastery of a game and not awareness of Reality (which was the initial motivation in learning the game in the first place).

When I first read the Diamond Sutra, it seemed like a lot of confusing and contradictory BS.  The very same words today ring clear like a bell and every few lines I have to stop to ponder the immense wisdom in it and wipe tears of joy.  Same words, same being reading, entirely different impact and meaning.  This is the nature of words, they can not even mean the same thing to the same person twice, let alone carry truths to those unready to explore them.

  4.  Spend enough money, time or heart on something and you're tied to it.

This appears true until the moment of realization all attachment is a choice, and it's always been equally possible to make the choice of non-attachment.

Security and the illusion of a need for it is a human construct alone.  Nothing remains the same, but nothing is lost.

  5. humans?  did nothing to eject themselves from the Garden of Eden, it was all part of "God's plan". :o  .

If one makes it an objective to highlight faults in arrangements of letters, one is going to be a very busy man.  For every phrase arranged, one is always free to ask, "what gives rise to that?" without end.  If one wishes to believe it's "God's plan" rather than God, one can still ask who gives arising to the plan of having God?  Is there a God factory somewhere and they order production quantities to send off to go become universes? What gives rise to the God factory and what gives rise to the materials the God stuffs are made with?  If being God includes being all 'things' at all 'times' and all 'places' what need does a God have for 'plans' when they are already are all that's ever been or will be?

The moment a human chooses to generate the delusion their mind was capable of grasping any aspect God, at this moment this human has just manufactured and implemented new blocks dividing them from experiencing all that is of God.

If you wish to honor God/Oneness while spoiling yourself with bliss, it requires laying down the minds concepts of God you were replacing God with and instead embracing what God/Oneness made for you, this perception of the Divine Now.

Only you can hold yourself back from it, only you can take yourself there.  The best gifts in life are free and always available, yet paradoxically the least treasured...

  6.  It doesn't seem you are there at all, but all the things going on are not spurious events, you can match them even though you are not conscious of making those connections. The greater the focus of awareness-internal or external the more this happens. Still, there is personal identity experiencing those things and matching them to memory.

To the limit of your ability to 'know it', this is true.

If you had experienced a trans-personal state (which is not easy or comfortable to achieve, yet unfathomably life enriching), then reality to the limit of your ability to 'know it' would not exclude such a states existence.

One can not 'recognize' 'fathom' 'see' etc what one chooses in the mind to preclude from the potential to exist in your individual unique model of reality.

There is something left when mind has no memory to draw from for comparison and judgement, when one has no bias to impose human values like good/bad/ugly/indifferent, no concept of any moment every having been prior to this one and no concept of a moment ever being after this one (because that's human constructed illusion alone).

Every consciousness has this innate potential and couldn't lose it if it wanted.  Nobody is more or less enlightened than anyone else, some embrace the perception of Now and some cover over it with there own construction of what they think Now to be.

All that I raced/ate/drank/smoked/sexed/bought/said did not and can not invoke more than fleeting sensation.

All my thinking did not quench my thirst for knowing, the thirst only expanded. (Why the path of the intellectual-philosopher is madness)

    I know nothing.

    I have nothing.

    I need nothing.

My minds concerns are all inherently temporary, making them into the focus of the human experience is to forfeit embracing the Divine(Reality) in trade for some fleeting BS.

Humans ejected themselves from the garden of Eden the moment they gained the "knowledge" of "good and evil".  This is the moment we replaced embracing what IS with our own bias of judging from our non-omnipotent non-knowing perspective of what IS is good/bad/ugly etc.

  7. Bud, I'd say that's all a delusion about delusions... for there is no where or time (which you mis-label as delusion) that "God" is not now, including "now" - per seeing and knowing the whole kit and caboodle

Your choice of belief in any and all alternative descriptions of the indescribable are always welcome.

  8. Suffering is what defines the attachment (Fearing loss).

Realize the nature of universal impermanence.

To want is to suffer as to appreciate is to Love. If you wish to Love something, enjoy it Now in this moment, to not is to miss the only non-perception-delusion aspect of that thing.  Love/kindness is not a commodity stock item you can stockpile, the real component exists only in Now, it dies when clung to tightly (from replacing Love with fear), and it ceases to exist the moment it concludes manifestation in kind thought/action.

There are only self-imposed limitations on ones choice of attachment.  Like every self-imposed obstacle, it is overcome at the instant of complete commitment to recognizing it was always a just a choice and it's equally possible to make a more self-compassionate one.

  9. Experienced the receiving end of a brass knuckle equipped fist pounding into my face and back of my head.

Messy experience, but hardly uncomfortable compared to the tedious work later in surgery getting random bits of skin like eyelids sown back in place.

Nothing I would choose to do to another living being, but if it had to happen to someone I'm grateful it was myself (learned a lot from it, including forgiveness lessons, came out of it with only minor vision damage).

  10. This moment of Now is all that is Reality-full.  It defines our human moment of perception (oneness), or if one prefers to use deity(s) labels, it encompasses perception of the divine creation.

Appreciation of this moment of Now that encompasses the summation of all that can be Real to a humans ability to know it requires no books, no words, no language, no laws or rules of man, no preference or bias, no chants, no ceremonies, no special uniforms, no special magic words, no requirement of decades of sitting, no requirements of thinking needed at all.

All those things are not Divine (creation/oneness provided), not Real (beyond human constructed belief choices that don't exist beyond the realm of the individual human mind).

The choice to dwell in or cling to the non-Real is the choice of ensured futile suffering to imagine/construct within the limits of the mind what can inherently not be contained within the confines of the mind (Reality).  Over many millennia, folks have manufactured many processes and techniques for this continued ensured futile choice to suffer attempting to merge closer with the unlimited bliss of Reality by creating mentally constructed elaborate arrays of self-delusion to drive them further from simple perception of Now.

If one wishes to experience pointless suffering in an imperfect and inherently subjective human-constructed mind game, continue replacing all that is Real with ones own bias laden thoughts and interpretation and analysis.

If one wishes to experience what the nature of Reality has to offer a human, it requires the cessation/surrender of the pointless grinding loops of mind.

  11. The natural state is ineffable bliss.

Delusions/constructs of the mind replace perception of the natural state. Its a trade of the unlimited awe and wonder of Now (reality), in exchange for human-

manufactured delusions of inherent perception-artifact-bias, AKA 'knowing something.'

Humans have arranged yet more patterns of symbols for each-other, there still remains nothing that can be known, there is only this one perception of Now and delusions.

  12. M74 ? I can see a few galaxies with the 8" Dob on a very clear night when my eyes aren't so shot. Winter is coming so I should get out in some dark sky haunts.

I thought I was imagining things, but since studying the Trivium I can see golden ratio arrangements in all sorts of things-particular plants and trees. Over time this has become quite strong. It dawned on me that shaman might actually be able to use this to make an inductive leap identifying the underlying chemical structures of the plants and are then to relate them to disease and ritual use.

On that topic of plants and geometry, eyelid closed plant assisted visuals tend to predominately be beautiful fractals of sacred geometry.

Perhaps the human mind already knows how to generate all these amazing complex sacred patterns, or perhaps the plant knows and somehow shows your mind.

  13. Of course, Karl, I admit that I'm not there all the time.  Are you?  I know that it's becoming more and more natural for me to be in that state, regardless of whether I am home or in town.  The gaps between thoughts are becoming longer and longer.  This is a reward that has been a long time in coming for me, and I am realizing for perhaps the first time in my life what it means to flatten out the 'landscape of my heart'.

It's such a liberating beautiful moment when one-pointed awareness of Now (reality) becomes something you can relax into comfortably like a nice fitting pair of jeans, rather than feeling like some extraordinary feat of concentration and mental focus/struggle.   If one actually chooses to appreciate it for what it is, life seems so impossibly good and beautiful and wonder-filled, the challenge of it seems mostly to be in dealing with the salty accumulation of tears of joy in ones beard.

If the rest of this fleeting life-experience-string is spent working towards some state of being that is 'better' than this moment of Now today sitting here typing this is entirely spent in vain with never having another break-through realization or improvement in mindful awareness or deepening of bliss etc, it doesn't matter anymore.   The urges for Now to be better than Now are faded and crumbling.  Now is already beyond what I had imagined the "kingdom of Heaven" (or your linguistic bias of choice) could be.

Love is the root of the thought, kindness is a descriptor for the physical manifestations of Love rooted thoughts.  When you see a face that looks kind, it is because they are choosing Love rooted thought.

  14. I think inner peace is my true nature.  I can get there.  yay.

    Bliss, not so much.

Complete Peace and bliss are indistinguishable.

Conditional 'peace' is not bliss, conditional anything is the state of looking for cause to end.

One does not arrive here through some external condition criteria being met, it is a gift only you can give yourself through unburdening with forgiveness/universal compassion and mindful awareness to choose not to re-burden oneself pointlessly.

There is no external condition worth surrendering your peace, and no external condition may take it from you with out you first making the choice to give it.

  15. (I think pain is when bad-one loses. Pleasure is when bad-one wins). <--saying it caused bad feeling in me.

Nothing in the universe has ever or will ever cause any thought, feeling, response in you aside from your own choice.

You have always had perfect thought control (though perhaps lacking awareness of it), never once has someone else thought for you, could have thought for you, or will think for you later.

The discrepancy is the illusion indoctrinated into you that the singular aspect of your existence that has never left or could leave your perfect and exclusive domain, is something beyond your control.

Break this illusion and you find every response to any form of stimulus is your choice of response and impossible to ever be anyone else.

Love and Fear are the two options for the origin of all human thoughts/judgement/bias/preference/attachment etc.

  16. It seems that you've made a study of these synergistic plants/entheogens, do you use any of these herb teas as part of your meditation?

Some other fellow was kind enough to compose that list I merely copied.

However, to answer your question, yes.  I shoot for 2 substantial altered meditation experiences per year, for whatever reason I've been too chicken for a 'substantial' experience over a year now, but still feel it's too soon for whatever reason as my mediation continues to bare new fruit unassisted.

We are each here to spend this fleeting moment we call 'life' to gather some experiences that may or may not aid in realizations.  Out of fearing the unknown, I spent the first ~30years of my life "straight-edge" (still never have drank alcohol).   Then perspectives shifted to enable seeing past the stigmas and bias created by those who wish to suppress realization techniques to enable an easy to tame flock of sheeples.

Now if an experience does not do harm to any living being (aside from risk of my own "sanity"), and offers some unique experience of perception, I embrace it for what it is rather than fearing it, and if the time and opportunity is right I choose to see how it impacts meditation.   In the case of something like nettles, first fast a day, then make a tea with a few large handfuls of fresh leaves (the ones near the top are less bitter than the older lower ones), drink all of it and see how your meditation experience shifts deeper than was otherwise been possible with the same level of mindfulness unassisted.

Sober mind is not some divine perfect thing, it's typically quite pathetic for most purposes beyond working/driving etc.  Each altered state of perception offers a new vantage point from which to view Reality and the otherwise invisibly obscured "sober mind" biases and filters.

  17. To best answer your own question, try a large amount of nettle tea brother.  It grows almost everywhere, healthy and minimally toxic even in nutritionally relevant doses, what's to fear in exploring the experience for yourself?

Here are other traditional tea herbs with ethnogenic effects, some only when combined.  MAOi's alone offer there own intense ethnogenic experience in adequate doses, but shouldn't be taken without awareness of interaction effects (or just fast the previous day if you want to play it safe).

Rhodiola Rosea (helps precursors get to the brain, dopamine releaser)
Withania Somnifera (relaxant, tonic, regulates aCh)
Mucuna Pruriens (l-dopa, 5-htp, serotonin, 5-MeO-DMT, DMT, Bufotenin)
Tribulus Terrestris (MAOi, raise testosterone, sexual stimulant)
    Polygonum Multiflorum (MAO-Bi)
Agnus Castus (Dopamine agonist, prolactin inhibitor)
    Hypericum Perforatum (antidepressant, mild MAOi)
    Astragalus membranaceus (MAO-Bi)
    Codonopsis pilosula (MAO-Bi)
Glycerhiza glabra (Mild MAOI, reduces stress)
    Arisaema amurense (MAO-Bi)
    Lilium brownii var. colchesteri (MAO-Bi)
    Lycium Chinense (MAO-Bi)
    Uncaria rhynchophylla (MAO-Bi)
    Evodia Rutacarpa (DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, Bufotenin)
    Griffonia simplicifolia (5-htp)

Is every regular coffee/tea drinker also fit your term of 'drug addict'?

  18. Milarepa was using the words he had remembered, along with them all the concepts he says he had forgotten. He quite obviously was talking otherwise the words could not have been written. Now, what he says has a smattering of truth. All books- including the one which recorded Milarepa's own words-can be forgotten. There is no need to cling to Milarepa's words anymore than anybody else's. That's why I say to develop the mind sufficiently to act as a high quality filter. There is no need to act according to the Tao, Baghavad Gita, Bible or any other sacred text, philosophy or ideology. It's easier to ignore it all and use the power of reason to determine the closest fit to reality that can be achieved. That you haven't noticed this tells me that you are not discerning in your intake, or arguments. The proof is in your own need to use words, to quote Milerarepa, the words of Milerepa and the text used to record Milarepa. It reeks of hypocrisy and a total ignorance of reality.

This is why no matter how 'enlightened' one becomes, when attempting to communicate with words, one must re-enter the dual illusion.

Do you prefer quotes from other Buddhas or realized beings?  Do you prefer your own writings?  No matter who says or writes it, it can't escape ultimately being some dualistic delusional nonsense, as this happens at the instant Reality is replaced by constructs.

I appreciate and enjoy the experience of your words brother, even though they inherently can not proxy Reality.

    With Unlimited Love,

    -Bud

  19. Reality is the symbols you write, but the map isn't the territory of course, just abstract representations of concepts. The value of communication is determined by the receiver and not the originator. When do you think you will stop using these silly words ?

When it happens, no sooner no later, same as yourself brother.  Live compassion and all urges to rush/force any experience fade into peace-in-mind.

    While enjoying constructs exchange:

"Milarepa, who got many excellent disciples, said, "I have never valued or studied the sophistry of word-knowledge set down in books in conventional form to be committed to memory; these lead but to mental confusion. I forgot word-knowledge long ago, if I ever knew it. But I have had my reasons for forgetting book-knowledge. And then he sang:

May I be far removed from arguing creeds and dogmas.

I have forgotten all difference between myself and others.

I have forgotten all those who rule by power.

Accustomed long to meditating, I have forgotten all that is said in written and in printed words.

I have forgotten to think of hope, I have forgotten the dread of birth.

I have forgotten all creeds and dogmas.

I have forgotten all definitions, all man-made meditations, and all artificial usages."

  20. Yet you are doing precisely what you are advising others that they shouldn't.

If you believed a book to be purely a product of your consciousness, then there would be no requirement for words and yet you are writing words, by which you are attempting to communicate an abstract idea to a group of people who must-by implication- be separate individual identities.

If you didn't believe there was value in your communication, or that there were no people ( in your analogy-trees) to whom you could address your thoughts and then judge their responses, then you wouldn't bother writing anything in the first place.

Your writing in this blog is an utter condemnation of all the things you hold to be true.

All delusion, including all written forms, spoken forms, symbol forms, picture forms, expressible mind-created forms, un-expressible mind-created forms, etc are equally giving rise to the separation between the perception of Now which encompasses all that is Real to the limit of a humans ability to know it.

All the combinations of letters and symbols I've ever arranged or ever will arrange has not and can not equate the nature of reality anymore than drawing a map equates the land for which it's constructed to represent.

    We are in agreement brother.

Yet in this fleeting moment prior to collecting our singular and merciful entitlement, nature permits this crude fumbling in the dark of vainly tapping out some combinations of symbols for misinterpretation.

As a student of reality, it is in my own futility of attempting relate experience that aids in my own selfish pursuit towards becoming the nature of compassion.

Likewise, I am indebted and grateful to your own contributions and shared concepts.  Likewise I am indebted and grateful to all posters of this forum and all forums as well as all life experiences from all beings kind and cruel alike.

We play the silly words games together because through this play we can become familiar enough with the nature of the pieces to let them go.

  21. A 'gurus' function is simply to take ones misconceptions of reality and shatter them.

If they are coddling you, they are not a guru, the process of having the realty model to which one clings torn to shreds is unpleasant by nature.

A guru doesn't need a smiling face and poetic words to do this.  A guru does not need a face or words of any kind.

  22. for my type of listeners you don't sound convincing. Too much text, too few twists.

If looking a computer screen (or book etc), it's fool hearty to expect it to reveal more than arrangements pixels (or droplets of ink).

Looking externally for what is not is making a choice of ensured discontentment brother.

If you step into the forest, do you assign your egos judgement of each tree and animal or embrace the whole as a beautiful system beyond means of human comprehension?
