  1. There is a Chan Master book called "Bones of My Master" by George Crane. The master there says that the combination of jing and qi in the lower tan tien creates a hard form - like crystalized blood or jing or something. It seems similar to the piezoelectric energy of the pineal gland. The Bushmen call it nails or darts - and then the Australians call it spirit crystals - or something like that. So the bones of Buddhist masters are looked at and saved as crystal energy. Yeah A.P. Elkin's book was the classic on it.

    http://books.google.com/books?id=QgEeC5V1fM0C&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q=crystal&f=false

Yeah googlebook link so the same tradition in Australia - a magical crystal enfuses with the blood of the initiate and turns the person into a shaman - and the crystal can later be removed and then used to initiate someone else.

But it also included "shiny stones."

Anyway alchemy originated in Africa - spread out of Ethiopia - around the world - and the blacksmiths were the alchemists - the blacksmiths were the shamans and the blacksmiths lived isolated lives, not marrying, and so then they were both feared and respected.

My book goes into that more - but it deals with the power of the reptile energy as kundalini energy for alchemical transformation - in Egypt - the power of the crocodile but elsewhere the snake - python or rainbow snake as N/om - kundalini boiling heat energy  up the spine.

So we can see the dragon tradition from this - the flying snake - guarding gold. the slaying of the dragon as alchemical training.

The Kogi, the only intact Pre-Colombian tribe of the Andes - living in secret - use gold for alchemical training - gold is used for divination and astral travel. So the gold had this purpose throughout the PreColombian tribes. While in Egypt and Ancient Greece it was believed if you were buried with gold then you were ensured to go to heaven to be immortal and so the gold treasures in the tombs of Egypt. this was tied to gold as the currency used for Solar temple worship whereas silver was used for lunar worship.

What happened is that iron became more valuable than silver around 1200 BCE - so then iron used for weapons - increased the power of patrirachy - iron used by men for raping/plowing the land. So then the circular altars had to be made the same area as the square male altars - the circular female houses were destroyed - and the lunar energy was downplayed.

So I would say that the Golden Elixir has to rely on silver lunar energy as much as golden solar energy and so in the more ancient cultures - then the crystal rainbow energy is probably more emphasized rather than gold or silver.

Thats pretty interesting about the bones when ever the gold light is manifested it feels like its coming from the bones but I can tell its not being stored there.

Ive heard of hindu practitioners actually using gold in their practices where they would conduct rituals to asorbe the energy from the gold into their bodies.

Given my current practice and what I experienced this leaves me with the question of how literal and not metaphorical the ancient alchemist were when they referred to transmuting the essence into gold.

    It may have been literal.

  2. it sounds like the energy healing that the original qigong master does - http://springforestqigong.com - it is what I call a laser-love transmission but you see a bright gold light and it fills up the lower tan tien with energy.

The question is - will the person build on the energy or will the energy get used for lower frequency purposes?

The answer is that we are surrounded by people who want to use the energy for lower frequency purposes. haha.

    So that is the challenge.

My understanding is the lineages overlap in the astral realms - check out Bradford Keeney's testimonials - what the Bushmen calls the Ostrich Egg - as the Cosmic Egg -

So he experienced all the spiritual masters in that final astral realm - also discussed by the Kriya Yoga lineage.

    https://www.facebook.com/keeneyinstitute

Just scroll down and there's part 1 and part 2 of his testimonials.

Ill look into the suggested reading material and get back to you on that.

    But

What you said about the laser light transmission was interesting as well.

And yes you really do feel it building in the ldt.

The interesting thing I noticed that with what I train in is that it somehow relates to actual gold. If I hold or look at real gold I buzz with a resonation. So this makes me think that actual alchemical gold is being built inside the body.

  3. the original qigong master tells a story of how he had a student in his class who has the most amazing aura he had seen of any of his students - she had a golden aura like the golden auras of the immortals he knows in the mountains of China developing their yang shen golden immortal bodies.

So he personally asked the student if he could teach her qigong but the thing is she wasn't consciously aware she had this amazing aura and she couldn't get her life in order to train seriously in qigong.

So the thing about golden light - a person can have it as their spirit energy but still be unaware of it.

I think to consciously be aware of it then you have to build up your yang qi energy first from after the lower tan tien of yin qi foundation is established.

I would really like to have this on my golden immortal thread  :D http://thedaobums.com/topic/37743-golden-immortal/

What else do you know about the golden immortals?

My teacher told me that this knowledge came into china via Buddhism and it was given to taoist and buddhist a like in china.

With the taoist it developed in a different path than the indian buddhist who had the original and the chinese buddhist who turned it into a internal martial art.

So as far as I know

    there is a

traditional taoist version that went to lu dongbin

A traditional buddhist version which was the golden lotus

A internal buddhist martial art under the same name developed by the chinese.

All 3 versions are in china.

    https://books.google.com/books?id=t5pZaCTJX3oC&pg=PR12&lpg=PR12&dq=gold+lotus+immortal&source=bl&ots=HB5rwlzKRX&sig=rwGjxC0-tMomUEK4-VbJaNpBnBg&hl=en&sa=X&ei=aFLtVKGWJrHjsASLhYCIBQ&ved=0CEEQ6AEwCTgK#v=onepage&q=gold%20lotus%20immortal&f=false

The gold lotus of taoism symbolises enlightenment., the Tao (the Way) or spiritual rebirth. The opening of the flower is believed to represent the development  of spiritual potential of humans.

    http://en.daoinfo.org/wiki/Guanyin_%28Avalokitesvara%29

The Complete Perfection Tradition called for the Oneness of the Three Teachings from the very beginning, and had groups named after the Three Teachings, such as the Three Teachings Golden Lotus Society, the Three Teachings Jade Florence Society, the Three Teachings Equality Society, etc.. Such a concept was an important basis for accepting the Bodhisattva into Daoism. The Complete Perfection tradition was successful in this respect.

In short, the Guanyin cult originated in Buddhism and was absorbed by Daoism, and underwent changes during its spread among the common people. The Guanyin cult thus has a strong sense of folklore.

the Golden Immortal of Grand Enlightenment, arhats into Reverends and Guanyin into Guanyin dashi, and they were all absorbed into Daoism.

  4. To me the golden energy is very pleasant and blissful.

Gold is balance of yin and yang to be at peace.

My teacher gave me an empowerment of the golden energy. It went down the spine to the kidneys and to the ldt.

The golden energy moves like this.

If I manifest it my hands and touch someone with it it will always move down the spine to the kidneys and to the ldt.

This seems like a sentimental sort of interpretation.

It's 5 phases diagram showing associated planets and directions, upside down from classic way.

    Soil is center, Earth phase.

Other sense of Dragon is the constellation Draco, and the Pearl the Dragon holds is the Ecliptic Pole (and also this is the "Serpent" and "Apple" in Bible story). So this is also marking time and characteristics of time.

But this thread is about the "Golden Elixir" - something else entirely from any of the above items.

All of nature has a golden aura.

All meditation systems use earth chi the power of the golden dragon.

The practitioners of the golden dragon meditations at some point will only get stronger and stronger.

It is a spiritual alchemy. It is like cultivating the north star energy but you live on the north star its kind of like that.

Their vibration will grow but they will not burn out its earth chi their hair will stay black and there jing will be strong.

All of my research has lead to this.

If there is someone who has all of the golden dragon system then he would be close to unbeatable.

  6. There is the concern about this.

  7. Without proper internal boxing training your internal power wont have a delivery system.

The energy your developing needs to be trained so you have inner skill so you can master it.

between every movement of up-down, left right, in-out, yin-yang there is a moment of wuji where the yi can be maximized.

  8. The Internal Styles of kung fu of china.

Also known as the subtle styles.

Understand that with internal stylists that what you see is what you are suppose to see and it is the unseen that destroys the enemy.

    Tension is the illusion.

Relaxation is the power yin and when done right is invisible to the enemy.

All the enemy sees is your tension.

Relaxed fluid movement is hard to stop, predict, evade or counter.

Because it has no wasted motion.

Use tension and relaxation as tools and use them interchangeably.

All your enemy sees is your tension which is an illusion that you project on to the enemy so they can lock on to you.

When you relax and move with relaxed movement you disappear to them and all they know is the hit.

When you relax the blood flows better the mind is clear and your chi field expands.

When this chi field expands it bounces off negative energies.

So when you do attack all your enemy knows is that got hit with some invisible unstoppable force.

Your boxing is to reflect this.

In internal martial arts what you see is what you are suppose to see it is the hit that is unseen.

  9. That is unimportant. I'll just say that is a Taoist method of Nei gong, I have absolutely no doubt that it is authentic and I know that it develops the ability to project Zhen qi or the electric qi that John Chang made famous. It is also definitely not JAJ's system.

I am here on this site mostly to try to figure out a few questions that I still have unanswered that still bother me and maybe in the process help other people who maybe need a little help with understanding some things. :)

    Cozma,

Well its not about importance more of a common courtesy.

Zhen Qi happens in just about all authentic taoist neigong.

Once you have authentic taoist neigong you must know that you have the right method and it what point it is attained.

My practice attains the zhen qi as well.

The Gum Guang Ging is electric it's internal power after all....

  10. The Shen is actualy the yin-yang's yang. Yin Shen is the part of the Yuan Shen that creates dreams and visions and cannot be mastered or subdued into submission.Neither is it gathered, it is part of yourself. Yang Shen is the part of the Yuan Shen that can be controlled and that can extend outside the body. It is used when we see things, "the light of the eyes", and it also manifests the light of Ling. It is also part of yourself.

When we gather qi in meditation, before the qi enters the dantians to become ZhenQi is is undifferentiated. it is just "pure yang" or just "the true one prenatal", it is the dantians  that acts like a battery that transforms the liquid inside into the two poles + and -  or Zhen qi. The body does take in differentiated qi via the ends of the taiji pole but it also extends differentiated qi from those two points .The bai hui and hui yin are means of balancing the internal yin-yang, more than anything else. I know John Chang speaks of yin-yang fusion but I must admit I do not know what exactly he is speaking about and that kind of bugs me. I suspect either misunderstanding, mistranslation or false information.

Yin Yang pole is that a jerry alan johnson reference?

    What do you train in?

  11. Please don't try to defend anything I wasn't denying anything that your school teaches, I am sure you speak the truth. If my comment came as trying to deny or question what you say I apologies. I don't know everything and that is why I enter this forum to try to learn more.

About the Jinhua being visible I have heard of a student that lighted up a whole room with it but I don't know the details. It never happened to me. I also don't know for sure if the color of the Jinhua is individual or the same for all or if it changes based on other factors, I will have to ask about it. To me it always appears bluish-violet. There are other techniques where internal power is visible as light but we can choose the color.

There is in classical alchemy a practice called "Gold fluid refining the body" which transforms the physical body and a sign of this is the body(bones?) emitting golden light but I can't say more as I never saw a demonstration of it. It is also an advanced practice, right at the end of the Earth immortal cultivation method

Well I dont know everything either and I am also here trying to get my questions answered.

My teacher gave a similar demonstration.

No no I dont take offense to anything.

  12. The source is Ling Bao Bi Fa. I don't have a translated version but you can read about the Purple Jin Dan in the Chao Yuan Lian Qi technique of the Heavenly Immortal cultivation method.

As for all 3 types of cultivation being one I really don't know, they just might be although there is strong evidence to support the contrary: enlightened people who are not immortal and immortal beings who are clearly not enlightened. A perfect example of the latter are the immortals of the Motzu sect.

The Min version of "The secret of the golden flower" also states that even though Tao and Enlightenment have the same path "One may enter Enlightenment first, then afterwards enter the Tao, or enter the Tao first and Enlightenment afterwards" so a clear distinction between the two. And BTW the spherical light that appears in the practice of Taiyi jin hua zhong zhi is bluish-purple in my experience.

PS: I actually have a pretty decent understanding of what they do in the GengMen Pai (a few advanced students are from my country) and in what way the Master helps them both through the initiation and the regular check-ups and adjustments. Not only they are legit but their Shifu also has quite amazing abilities and is a very humble and kind person

This is a more detailed reply to your post.

the spherical light that appears in the practice of Taiyi jin hua zhong zhi is bluish-purple in my experience.

Is this light visible to others? Also are you admitting that gold light is visible at some time?

the Purple Jin Dan in the Chao Yuan Lian Qi technique of the Heavenly Immortal cultivation method.

Havent heard of this one but ill look into it. Is this what you practice? The only thing ive seen for purple gold elixir is a herbal treatment.

Yes I agree with this since different sect develop different things at different times.

Not concerned about the gengmenpai really.

Too many videos to markety for me.http://masterjiang.com/

  13. Since you say it so plainly, i guess its fine to ask plainly too. Could you post a video of that? sounds interesting.

I really dont want to go public with it I just brought it up so Cozma knew where I was coming from in my posting.

  15. As I understand it the golden aura is a manifestation of purity. One can have a golden aura and not posses the Golden Elixir. Children when they are born are supposed to have golden auras and yet they are not immortal. I don't think a golden aura is the same as the light emitted by immortals

About what you have quoted: I don't want to post my opinion on systems I have not practiced. And it is very hard to understand those systems as high level practitioners with true achievement have yet to come forward and give their enlightened view.Or perhaps they have and in my ignorance i have missed it. Otherwise is very hard to get an informed opinion as a lot of spiritual paths are heavily shrouded in fear and myth and in most times even the practitioners don't know why they are practicing and for what exact purpose. Not to mention the systems that are just make-believe.

My view is that here on this planet there are 3 types of practices: One that leads to immortality, one that leads to enlightenment where the True Self or Ling is manifested(this is where a lot of schools like christian monasteries and Buddhist and Tibetan practices fall in my opinion) and schools that use the above 2 practices on a lower level for minor purposes such as good health or martial arts.

The problem is that, for example, I am unsure what terms like "rainbow body" actually mean. Here I have seen people saying that rainbow body for example is the same as celestial immortality but to be fair if you study the holy texts there is no reason to truly believe that. Seems to be the mark of a truly enlightened person rather than an immortal one and it is unclear, at least to me if total enlightenment will give one immortality or vice versa.

There are texts that even compare reaching enlightenment where all the karmic energies are dissipated and the Ling no longer reincarnates but without being immortal as a form of spiritual suicide as the practitioner has "a master but not a house". I am guessing that is why Chinese people emphasize both Xing and Ming cultivation and why schools of Luohans such as the GengMen Pai work with qi.

The chakra at the top of the head is the ultimate achievement in many schools which I perceive to be genuine and is called the likes of "opening the 72nd chakra of the 72nd level" or "three yang gathering at the top of the head" and a lot of systems know that but again I have my doubts whether a lot of them actually know how to open it or what does it.

I think the 3 different types of enlightenment you mentioned are all one.

    1. Its spiritual alchemy.

    2. There is no conceptual realization without experiencing it so that means inner attainment. (How can you understand this reality if you can even see auras?)

    3. There is no high level cultivator that cant do stillness the stillness is coming regardless if your practice is seated or moving.

Well no xing and ming are needed.

You wont have elixir with xing and you wont have alchemy without ming so they are both needed.

Well you mention gengmenpai and the 72nd level and so forth. The thing here is are those lineages are is how is the alchemy set up? Certain things happen at certain times with different sects of alchemy.

They may have a whole level dedicated to projecting chi out the palms and building that ability.

    Who knows.

But here's where im will to take a safe guess. The cultivator who can become pure energy most likely has more energy and power than the guy who cant.

  16. http://www.khandro.net/nature_plants_lotus.htm

According to the prevalent creation myth of India, there emanated out of the primeval waters due to the mind-activity of the Supreme Being, a thousand-petaled golden Lotus.

    http://ppmaudiostream.org/how-to-do-the-meditation/the-mechanism-of-the-meditation.html

When the Crown Chakra is sufficiently activated, its 12 inner petals open and turn upward like a golden cup, golden crown, golden lotus or golden flower to receive spiritual energy which is distributed to other parts of the body. It is also symbolized as the Holy Grail.

The golden lotus attainment is about the crown chakra opening. Like a lotus  bloosming. When this happens it is suppose to emit gold light like a halo.

    https://books.google.com/books?id=9mOGAwAAQBAJ&pg=PT299&lpg=PT299&dq=golden+lotus+kundalini&source=bl&ots=SN0vv1PVGr&sig=jBhdyRwXb57irPX8ZL-Q-skzDLA&hl=en&sa=X&ei=nvkAVf29IYG1ggSe84C4DQ&ved=0CEgQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=golden%20lotus%20kundalini&f=false

I wonder how that fits in with golden immortals.

  17. Also please understand that the golden aura I was referring is not the same as Golden Elixir and I wasn't implying that it might be :)

Ok this makes me ask the question of why not and if not then what was the context of the golden aura in this conversation?

Was it in reference to golden immortals?

What is your theory  of  Xiao Zhou Tian (microcosmic orbit) and its relation to the golden elixir.

  18. Well id be very careful with trying to get to the bottom of the issue with family inherited kung fu from an outside perspective.

    http://www.dotaichi.com/articles/historyoftaichi.htm

Yang eventually returned to his hometown of Kuang Ping (also spelled Guang Ping) and taught the old-frame Chen style.  He later traveled to Beijing and became a military martial arts teacher for the Manchu government.  After he altered the sequence of the movements in his form, it later became known as the Yang style.

Yang Pan-hou is the Kuang Ping (also spelled Guang Ping) style, which Yang allegedly taught at one point in his life. It's interesting to note that there are very few similarities between the Kuang Ping style and the Wu style. The Kung Ping from is more open and linear, and it uses a more sideways-oriented stance. It also has very extended arm movements and sometimes appears to be a bridge between the Chen style and the Yang style.

Yang Pan-hou taught the Kuang Ping form to Wong Jiao-yu. His followers claimed it was a secret of the Yang family's that was never taught to the hated Manchus. Wong supposedly taught Kuo Lien-ying, who was already a master of northern Shaolin kung fu. Kuo was also a famous master of pa-kua chang.  Kuo later shortened the form and taught his condensed version to thousands of students. When Mao Tse-tung seized power in China, Kuo fled to Taiwan and later to San Francisco's Chinatown, where he taught the art.

  19. Perhaps more elaboration is warranted. Recently a Yang stylist vehemently opposed the idea that the Yang Family long form doesn't contain all the "Secrets" and said that the Yang Family summarily denies ever having taught the Ching family incomplete taiji.

My intention is not to rake up controversy but to inquire whether that might be true, because all sources I found concurred with the wikipedia article.

Well of course he would deny it china is communist he doesn't want to admit that the yang family taught the imperial court an incomplete art......

Shoot id deny it too. :D

The kung fu dont lie if the 64 frame feels more authentic then it might be something has to be checked out.

  20. The elixir is qi, it is not made in the body, the body is the place where qi or the medicine is gathered and refined. Countless texts speak of it. Even Tao Te Ching mentions it in:

The Golden Elixir is the ultimate refinement of qi, when it can be refined no further. Qi refinement usually means 2 things: How dense and how pure it is.

Purity of qi is referred in the classics if i'm not mistaken as the difference between "turbid and clear water". It has to do with the aura of the person and the relation he has with the world and himself. It is what some on this forum had deemed "new-age nonsense". A golden aura is the aura of someone who has done no bad deeds to others or to himself or who has purified himself from what he had done. Negative emotions, bad actions, remorse, desire, ego, pride all enter within this category. The more of those we have that aren't cleansed the more muddy the qi will be.Taoists use what is called "The practice of repentance" to deal with this. If the qi is "turbid" then at one point it can't be used anymore and the practitioner gets "stuck" on a level in his cultivation. This too is mentioned in the Tao Te Ching

"Filling their belies" refers to the density of qi and is done by applying fire to it. Fire is consciousness. There are 3 levels of consciousness: shi shen(discriminating mind), yuan shen(unconscious mind) and ling(eternal soul). Usually we have control only over the shi shen. The more we control the deeper levels of awareness the more "fire" we can apply and the more dense the stored qi will be. As I understand it the method to refine the fire itself is called "enlightenment" and a fully enlightened person is one who has full control over ones Ling. Taoist use "The secret of the golden flower" to achieve this and without this even if one has a pure aura it may take a whole life-time to finish the cultivation of the Golden Elixir.  The method of using the 3 levels consciousness to reach immortality is called "entering the Tao" .

Well given what I practice now I have to disagree on a few points.

I think the old masters were pretty straight forward on what it was. To think otherwise is to take a risk.

The Golden Elixir is the ultimate refinement of qi, when it can be refined no further. Qi refinement usually means 2 things: How dense and how pure it is.

    I agree with this.

A golden aura is the aura of someone who has done no bad deeds to others or to himself or who has purified himself from what he had done.

I disagree with you on this. The golden elixir changes you it has a spiritual effect on you. The properties in it will change you. You can be the nicest person in the world and not have the actual golden elixir inside you being cultivated.

The golden elixir is made inside the body but it to has to be cultivate but its presence in the body has a cultivation effect to the spirit body.

The golden elixir can be manifested and it gets more dense the longer one practices.
