Actually, the crown chakra is contains way more than just "direct knowing" or higher intuition. The crown chakra looks like a bathing cap of petals. The petals are all pointing downwards. Each petal, (there are supposed to be 1008 of them..) contains its own siddhi. Direct knowing is just one of them. If you succeed in attaining a siddhi, that petal will point upwards.

The shaolin is very important and powerful in the old days they built temples on cliffs and moutians so they couldnt be raided by outside forces. The monks traveled and healed  protected and served the citizens the donations that were given were taken back to the temple and melted down into golden or silver buddha statues so they couldnt be stolen.

The shaolin took powerful neidan alchemy and converted it into internal kung fu.

Herbs circulate the chi remove blockages and increase the vibration.

I dont think master Jiang has attained the 8th star which is the divine heavenly force when all 3 gings come together.

As someone asks more about "翟江峰 (Dr. Jiang Feng)", I will post some information in here.  I have not personally met him but this is what I could find (some more info but not going to translate in here).

About breaking the stone, many Qigong people in China can do it.  Normal people can do it too with tricks.  

 

Many other things I believe are all magick tricks.  Many Chinese in the old times are magicians.  They do it on the street to make a living, and then some might sell some medicine afterwards after attracting a large group of crowd.  Few years ago there are some do the same under my apartment.  So there are many tricks handed down.  Judge carefully.  This is the reason why I write so much in the forum.

 

One last thing is, real master will only ask you to depend on yourself, not some kind of expensive medicine.  If you want medicine for health, better go to a good Chinese medicine doctor, instead of some magical medicine.  There will be no one single "best" / "most effective" medicine, as even the best doctor will alter the ingredients to suit the specific condition of that person.  Chinese medicine divides people into many subtle type of body condition and will be very careful in choosing ingredients.  If you see one is selling one single type of medicine and telling you that it is superior to all other medicine, probably it is fake.  This is the most basic principle of Chinese medicine.

 

Some martial art Qigong will use medicine too, but not expensive too, and they usually tell you all the ingredients and you buy for yourself, since it is not secretive things, just for cultivating a better body as a foundation for practice.  Also, they are only something same as Chinese Medicine, while the latter has much more knowledge in depth generally... (For sure!  They should be the master in this field!  Not qigong masters!)  So, nothing special, NO MAGICAL FORMULA.  Even if you have felt good in his formula, you will feel much better when you meet a good chinese medicine doctor.  Some might misguide people by giving something seemingly very effective which gives you a strong feeling, but, remember about the principle, good attached with bad, bad attached with good; if I give you something extremely "cultivating" and you might feel very energetic in short time, you will eventually feel something being burnt up and these do not really do good health to the body.  Softness is the King in all Taoist system.  We only improve things gradually...  No magical.  Tao is soft, simple, subtle and normal.  If you feel anything extremes, it is not in the Middle / Mid-way..............

The way the geng men pai goes about their training and marketing raises an eye brow.

I was recently talking to a famous well known chinese taoist master about Master Jiang and the rates he charges for dan pills and herbal treatments and we both agreed that it was just crazy.

Master Jiang is trained in the tcm medical field so im not taking that credit from him but why so much when herbs are so cheap especially if your actually in china.

Here's my point I can buy a 27 ingredient herbal formula for like $30 in AMERICA let alone china....

Ive heard of jiang charging thousands of dollars for herbal preparations.

Plus herbs have to be taken over a period of time.

Kung fu sects have herbal pills teas tonics jows and so forth this is also standard in china for the kung fu sects.

So why market yourself as super rare?!??!??

A more down to earth approach would be nice. 

How could anyone possibly work so many different meditations into a decent training schedule?

 

Not to mention the prices...

In alchemy what I found is that it is more about what are you trying to develop what forces and expressions in nature are you working with and how do you safely cultivate that living force in the dao.

All alchemy achieves a very specific something.

The monks and taoist learned about the different living forces in the dao and found ways to cultivate themselves with it.

By doing this they learned more about the natural living forces that surrounded them.

But before that happens its more like this.

Fully opening the crown chakra the attainment of the golden lotus. 

Unfortunately we have "book mopai" and "western mopai" which has a road block after a couple of levels

 

Real authentic MoPai is a whole different ballgame

Well Mopai is authentic pai to be considered a authentic pai you have to have herbal knowledge healing knowledge and so forth or you cant be considered a pai in the chinese tradition and im sure john has all of this.

John Chang said certain TaiChi masters had comparable abilities as he.

 

TaiChi, Baguazhang, use a similar stance, SanTi, as in Xing Yi Quan / Hsing-I (Chinese theory of the 5 Elements)

 

There are a finite amount of breathes and postures the human body can employ

 

So, "2+2 =" sort of case here.

This comes down to one of those things where people dont know enough on the history of kung fu and china.

Mao Zedong outlawed the practice of all authentic martial arts except watered down taichi.

So in china before 1974 this was all you saw.

Before 1933 there was an advant of powerful martial artist in china.

After authentic kung fu was outlawed masters fled to japan korea thailand inodesia and so forth the others that stayed in china went underground.

In 1974 the chinese govt created and promoted contemporary wushu which is sport kung fu and it was in the mid to late 1970's that china opened the gates with the visit of president nixon and contemporary wushu spread thru out the world,

With the help of jet li who went to the white house in 1976 to give a demonstration of wushu.

Later Wushu master Bow Sim Mark(Donnie Yen's mother) in the late 70's early 80's introduced contemporary wushu to america.

So then you have Jackie Chan who is from the peking oprea school which also taught contemporary wushu to its actors in training.

Now when I mean they outlawed kung fu I mean they were beheading martial artist and sending them to re-education camps which was just a torture prison and then killing them.....

The temples that did survive this period were visited by the red guards who sent there warrior preists and monks away before the red guards got there where told not to teach or practice non govt approved martial arts. Sometimes they actually occupied the temples waiting for the martial artists to return.

The temples bowed to the govt the triads bowed to the govt.

So this attitude still carries on in china today.

What did all of this do to real kung fu? 

It ruined it. Period.

You have people thinking that real kung fu is wushu you have the other group of people thinking that taichi xingyi and bagua is the only "internal' kung fu. Then the people who look for authentic kung fu cant find anything.

Mopai as John stated is a kung fu school.

I dont know if the Golden Wave Palm is the same as the golden lotus.

I know with the Golden Lotus one will have a very powerful golden aura the earth will charge and heal you.  If a practitioner of the Golden Lotus is injured the injury will be removed as long as they are connected to the earth.
