  1. Scientific survey of enlightened people

... Personally I find the "neuroscientific aspect" most distasteful and more than a little worrying. But I am not a materialist. I'm a werewolf of London. All of these and many, many more causes may be co factors in Illumination. I do not list the co factor causes of my sudden Illumination. They are mind blowingly numerous. As the grains of sand on a beach. Infinite, mebbe. Dunno. ...
  2. How does one 'choose' a religion, spiritual path, etc?

... Yes. That is a most marvellous expression of truth. I always seek to devote myself to wisdom and compassion. Seek wisdom forever. Just be good forever. Simple. It ain't you know what. ...

  6. zhan zhuang on the 6th floor

... I've been meditating upon this, as you know. I live on the second floor. I look upon some forms of meditation as sucking up energy from mudder earth. If I am high above the ground, perhaps it comes to me as a cone, sucking up from a larger portion of the earth's surface area. It also occurred to me that perhaps the Ancients built ziggurats and pyramids for this purpose. To ascend to God. The Tower of Babel. To achieve meditative/yogic power. Sit atop the tower and meditate. This is all pure speculation. I'm probably way off base. But I couldn't live at the top of a high building. I might get vertigo. An' I ain't mentionin' da fear of flyin'. ...

  12. What are you listening to?

,.. Nice one mr marblehead. I just thought I would mention. I did a marvellous job of singing "For What its Worth" karaoke on the mental ward. Singin' songs, an' a carryin' signs. Mostly say hurray for Our Side. Paranoia strikes deep. Into your life it will creep. It was paranoid delusions that got me locked away, they told me. I suggested that I was under some sort of surveillance. Crazy eh? Anyway, dats Treebeard's fave song. He ain't on no-one's side unless they on his. 18. Spiritual Adepts

... As for spirituality, the ultimate God is Dao. The simplest of "religions" was always my favourite. That's right. DAO. That which cannot be spoken of. I revise Anselm. God is that which is beyond human conception. ...
