  1. Hi there, glad to join the forum

Jump in Cerananda! What doth thy name meaneth?
  2. Why are you here?

Because I promised Vajrahridaya's guru that I would "be the sand in his soft Tibetan saddle". It's for his own good, believe me.
  3. Free Speech and Moderator Action

If my oft-humorous posts and ripostes are seen as trolling, I am sorry El Gerardo. I can't help myself. Plus, I think the mods are doing a good job, with the exception of Cat being called out on being a cheerleader for KAP, which she was being, which is not an insult. If Mal will say he was in the wrong, I will send him a case of Pu-erh. P.S., Gerard, unwind yourself a few turns, it'll feel better.

  5. Hey, happy Big Birthday!

  6. Plagiarism and Lack of Citing References on TTB's

"All is emptiness, including between ralis' ears". ² "You are a nin-com-poop par excellence".³ 2, 3. Vajrahridaya, Ralis, et al., The Tao Bums Forum, Op.cit., 2009-2010, various postings, personal correspondence. .
  7. Free Speech and Moderator Action

Ralis is our local curmudgeon and speaks what needs to be said many times. To have a heavy handed moderated happy little group here is akin to the Sunday Afternoon Ladies Taoist Garden Club, which is what some of the Love and Light crowd would like to have. The shadow, as exemplified by the fights we have here and sometimes by comments made by ralis and various members is our shadow being voiced. Communities that deny the shadow always fall prey to it later, as shown by numerous spiritual communities that never allow open and free speech, including criticism of the guru. Raymond Wolter was banned after he said Cat was "a cheerleader for KAP", causing Cat to yowl and spit and complain to the mods like someone had stepped on her tail, so Raymond got banned. If Cat hadn't made such a fuss to the moderators, he wouldn't have been banned, simple as that. And that comment would have been long forgotten instead of us still talking about Cat the Cheerleader months later. (When I brought it up recently, Mal told me I was living in the past). I see it as discussing inconsistent and unresolved moderation issues. Meanwhile, one member called another "a piece of work" and that wasn't deemed insulting. I imagine if Vajra complained to the mods instead of swatting back at everyone, others would get banned.
  8. Taoism Vs Buddhism

Sonny, you sure got a tight grip on that bat! Is Buddhism just an intellectual exercise for you? I've never seen anybody so unawares and stuck in a pattern.
  9. Foreskin restoration

  10. Foreskin restoration

I seem to recall that Buddha's foreskin is a holy relic somewhere, hidden away in secret Asia. Wonder what would happen if you could graft that thing onto your own member? Sure would be a conversation piece and help you score with the cute yoga ladies. Imagine doing Tantra with the Buddha's own foreskin living on your Johnson. Whoa, dude!
  11. Taoism Vs Buddhism

More dharma talk to Vaj... . .
  12. Taoism Vs Buddhism

Well listen Mr Flappy Lipperton, half the posts in this thread are your chirpy Buddhist ones. It's like you just vomit Buddhism on your keyboard and it appears here on taobums lol. Hey, if the dharma falls and blokes like Vaj go with it, hmm, just might be worth it.
  13. Taoism Vs Buddhism

    Hey Vajra,
  14. Will history regard us as creators or destroyers?

    Destroyers.
  15. All About Rooting

Hey, I lost my reading glasses, but here's a link to a book for you.
  16. Plagiarism and Lack of Citing References on TTB's

??? Actually, who cares if they do that? I don't. This is not for actual publication. Does it really matter???
  17. Keep on keepin' on, ralis!!

  18. Hello and Please Help

How old are you? Don't stress over it. Get centered get it out and start over without guilt or regret. You don't think it'll go on forever, do you? You've already accomplished a lot, so the game is not forever at this point, but to have lengths of time where you retain. The important thing is not to think you've failed. Longest I went when I was in my 20's was 3 months, and the energy entirely left my equipment for a long time, leaving things feeling withered and withdrawn. But when it returned, it returned. Everything in nature is in cycles, so ask yourself if it is time to let go for a bit or what. The most important thing is to listen to your inner wisdom, not some idea you are clinging to.
  19. Taoism Vs Buddhism

Sure. I still think it's a rationalization by someone who likes to talk a lot.
  20. Taoism Vs Buddhism

That's bullshit. Five Precepts: Do not take intoxicants. A rationalization on your part, no matter what your teacher says. You lose clarity of mind after one drink, and making it a regular practice works against spiritual development. You're just attached to it, that's all. A serious Buddhist practitioner avoids intoxicants, the amateurs rationalize and drink.
  21. When are taobums gonna wake up,if ever?

I'm not sure what Baron Von Sykkelpump is saying in this post, really. I get so bored with my teacher/sifu can kick your teacher/sifu's ass. MMA usually boils down to who is a better grappler and who is in top condition, not which martial tradition is superior. I think taobums has much less to do with martial abilities than enlightenment. Ya Mu doesn't put himself forth as a martial artist much, if at all, but rather portrays Stillness-Movement as spiritual development and he also offers an extraordinary healing system in Taoist Medicine. He can speak for himself on whether he is interested in martial demonstrations, but I doubt it. Who cares, really?
  22. pure water. a great qi-boost.

What is the source of the "pure water"? Is it in a bottle from a factory? Is it bubbling up direct from the earth in an Artesian spring? I know which has more chi!
