  1. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

And then I ended up on this forum.
  2. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

"Can anyone give some insight on how to clear negative energy from smoke? I can't say that this is definite, but I found it was helpful. I was practicing a kind of a thing (so you get it's pretty DIY) where I considered that the main issue at hand was not the elimination of the desire to smoke, just the act of smoking. I figured me (and many people I had met) were more consumed and troubled by the desire to smoke more than the doing of it, the actual smoking. So I figured out that while the act of smoking was the actual issue in terms of health, having desire was the real issue people struggled with. (in other words, they wanted to not desire). So I let myself desire without action. I spent days filled with it (desire). And that was all fine. Sort of.
  3. What is wrong with me?

    Can I suggest something?
  4. Style, patterns, arguments, underlining. Not entirely sure, but pretty sure.
  5. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

That's what happened the first time I quit. It took two gos.
  6. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

It's not so much a conviction as a 'this doesn't work for me' conclusion. I've experimented with things somewhat;-)
  7. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

Yeah, I quit pot before I quit smoking. I'd probably start smoking pot again, if it weren't for my fear of getting re-hooked on cigarettes.
  8. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

Ha, yeah. I do remember actually 'seeing' black smoke rise and remove itself from me at one point after I quit. I credit quitting for contributing to the k rising. All subjective of course:-)
  9. Smoking and Lung Damage causes depression

That's interesting Drew. My experience with smoking was that it was when I quit that I got hit with depression, not while I was actively smoking.
  10. Grimoire

Great link Old Green. I like Josephine McCarthy. She seems 'sensible' in her appreciation of magical work. I was under the impression that a grimoire was a personal work. In that light it makes sense (to me anyway) that the 'Spirit' contents of one person's grimoire may not be suitable for someone else and may be counter-indicated for yet another. Much like some meditations may be suitable for some but not everyone and to go further, IMO/IME why the 'content' narrative of spirituality ought to be a personal affair and not generalized to everyone (as in religion).
  11. Top 1% of the world owns 81% of the world's wealth.

Reminds me of that guy moving huge rocks to make his weird church (I think it was a church) or the Tibetans moving huge rocks with sound. You can find it online somewhere but since I wasn't there, nor can vouch for the 'technology' due to personal incompetence, I'll leave you with the sound laser tech instead http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2013/03/sound-lasers-phasers/

  13. What is wrong with me?

I'll chime in and add there is nothing wrong with you. And I'm sorry to hear about the unhelpful, if not plain cruel remarks by family and peers. I tend more these days to see things as Ish suggests above but it takes practice, I have found. I've done the travelling thing, done a bunch of therapy, experimented with mindfulness (it works, even if it can be very unpleasant) and still experiment with things, but not exactly as a means of fixing myself, given there's nothing wrong;-) I also found this guy's website interesting http://mrbashful.com/ And you might like http://www.amazon.com/Quiet-Power-Introverts-World-Talking/dp/0307352153/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1365291658&sr=1-1&keywords=quiet
  14. Banking/Monetary Reform

Not at all, although I find it tough to explain how I'm not. You'll have to take my word for it:-)
  15. Banking/Monetary Reform

I didn't say Tao cared or not. I spoke to my feelings on the matter.
  16. Practice, lifestyle, and personal preference

I've got a notebook (paper) for that very purpose. Luckily my hand writing is illegible:-) I used it the other day as I was having my morning coffee. Sometimes as I write the whatever it is I also find myself writing a solution as well.
  17. Banking/Monetary Reform

That's essentially what I was getting at Ralis with my 'straw dogs' comment. But if I am to consider that Tao has something up her sleeve, then 'something cooking' might be more to the point. I'm not 'something' enough to consider Tao as a caring mother (although I do have some personal anecdotes that allow me to feel more cared for than not when it comes to Tao but it has taken some work getting to this point).
  18. And the trauma splitting process reminds me of something I read about the Monarch project.
  19. Xienkula, the network in question has an interesting intended mission. http://www.spiritualeducation.org/blogs/human_identity
  20. The other week I decided to do bit of 'self-invented' 'magic' around this child stuff (I've been playing about with 'magic' as a creative experiment, no dark sorcery and to be honest, I'm sure if things 'really work' I'd scare myself!) Anyway I really got a conversation going (written).. I did promise that everything would turn out fine and showed 'proof' of the 'in your face' ways that things had been pretty good despite the mistreatment. I got the kid giggling, so happy to see all the neat things 'we' were doing. It was all pretty weird but the weirdest was the photo I used for the invented magic. I swear the expression changed from sulk to smile. Now that post by Xienkula has got me very curious. On the third eye stuff, I've also been looking at the witch salves,http://witchofforestgrove.com/2011/09/10/on-flying-ointments/
  21. Banking/Monetary Reform

There's also what I'd call the 'deeper' question of why the universe let it happen. More 'straw dogs' or 'something cooking'?
  22. Banking/Monetary Reform

Thanks Pythagorean FL and Ralis. Thoughts on this? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_14?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=the+goddess+and+the+alphabet&sprefix=The+goddess+an%2Caps%2C381
  23. Why matter holds its form.

Are you suggesting the perception of liquifying concrete has anything to do with totality of memory seeing itself? Yeah, I dunno, I kind of get what you're talking about but figured it was just a 'kundalini' thing and 'forgot' about it. But now I remember, yeah I guess part of what I was seeing could have been memory and part could have been more 'direct' than that. I didn't forget the astrologer who told me I was on my last karmic cycle. Why bother if there isn't actually a coherent 'me' to pull together into some kind of liquified-ish form? I coudn't figure that one out for example. My Bazi reading doesn't suggest anything (as far as I can see, but that is not very far) about whether 'this life' (and I can understand that 'this life' by itself has a cutesy ring to it :-)) is one of the last, of several, it seems i 'one of several' and at the same time 'only this one' might be what is being said without saying it straight up. -2cts-random
  24. Banking/Monetary Reform

I don't get how we could let ourselves be brainwashed. Don't get me wrong, I'll admit to have been washed. But I don't get how I let it happen. --2cts--
  25. Why matter holds its form.

I just figured 'I'm getting tired' when that happens. It happens less nowadays than it did before however. The one I found the most unsettling was concrete. When it starts moving around like liquid-ish.
