Greetings to all.
After decades of dabbling off and on with the Tao Te Ching and the I Ching, I have just recently picked it up again. In the past, I liked Jane English's Tao Te Ching translation, and I am now reading Victor Mair's translation. Although I have never really taken up any earth-based spirituality, I do truly appreciate Daoism's freedom to flow with the patterns of the natural world. In addition, I love the way that Daoism does not resent one's physical body as many other mainstream faiths do (e.g. Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc.). I have begun to study some of Mantak Chia's and Michael Winn's materials, and am thrilled by what I am seeing. Except for a period of practicing/studying Falun Dafa (and then getting totally freaked out and running screaming in the opposite direction), qi gong is very new to me. I'm looking forward to learning more and enjoying the community here with the Tao Bums.
