working with / through astrological transits as part of practice?

In your psychic / character development (or spiritual) practice, does astrology have a place in it?

If so, how do you make the best use of 'the transit aspects' or the settings of your natal horoscope?

 

It might help to put some experience or phases into perspective, - still it is diffuse enough to leave room for (mis)interpretation.

To me, it's been of help in the past, if I couldn't find a reason for why my (conflicting) emotions were as they were.
