  1. Billy Mitchell once made the far-fetched prediction that "wars would soon be fought in the air and under the sea." That seems pretty reasonable, until you consider that he said it way back in 1906. When World War I rolled along, Mitchell earned the rank of brigadier general and showed the world that he wasn't just full of hot air, becoming one of the most feared Americans in Europe as his aerial forces plagued the German ground forces with hot leaden rain. Mitchell's airborne prophecies came to a head with his famous battleship trials in 1921, in which he demonstrated how properly equipped airplanes could totally kick a battleship's ass. But this is all firmly in the realm of common sense masquerading as prophecy. Things really only get weird when you consider his prediction that war with the Japanese would begin early one Sunday morning with a surprise air attack on Pearl Harbor, shortly followed by an attack on the Philippines. Yes, he got that specific.
  2. I was wondering about strongest (or not strongest but the strongest you know of) spiritual practice you know i would like to have some "cool" out of the usual spiritual (i including feeling qi in this - seeing lights etc) that has the fastest effect - or maybe not even the fastest but that has sure effects if you do it and effects in a pretty short time ( a few months is also ok) for example is rebirthing that excericse ? 100 wall squats every day ? horse stand ? etc (Asking cause heared that if you do 100 wall squats each day it can heal all your health problems - and made me think about after trying many stuff and always feeling motivated that i dont see a difference (meditaitng for hours etc) and have a hard time to keep practicing non stop for more than a month (can do intesnse practice but not keep it more than a month without stopping) thought maybe there is some exercise that you 100% sure if you do for like tops one month you almost certainly will experience some "cool stuff" (more than just feeling more relaxed ! ) that can help motviate you further and since i dont want to be dissapointed wanted to hear about teh "Strongest" exceirses people know about that have the biggest chance to get results ** and without getting into a debate about it - im asking for all spiritual practices (spiritual can also be physical like wall squats of course) except drugs which i am not interested in trying
  3. In the spiritual world, there are many "buzz words" and most people use them quite profusely. I propose that we try to do an exercise where we compile a list of common terms and see if our understanding of these words match. Let me start with three words we use very freely and what they mean to me. Doing exercises like this may help us avoid unnecessary arguments over misunderstandings vis-a-vis jargon and syntax and work on creating better understanding/more meaningful discourses. Awareness Consciousness Mind On the surface these three words seem to be synonyms (or at least seem to be referring to the same thing). However, if we dig a bit deeper, our personal understanding of might be more nuanced. For instance, my understanding of the words have evolved over the years from roughly meaning the same thing to meaning more specific and different "things". Awareness - This to me means the primary quality that allows one to know. This can be used synonymously, imho, with Pure Awareness or Pure Objectless Consciousness. Consciousness - This to me means awareness in conjunction with any object. Or "objective consciousness". If there are no objects (ie empty), then I call it "Pure Objectless Consciousness" and can use it synonymously with "awareness". Mind - This is a field of objects or a stream of objective consciousness. To me, Mind doesn't mean "awareness" or even consciousness, per se. It is the stream of consciousness, basically the incessant knowing of objects.
  4. The Dragon Revealed -

Thank you for making this opportunity available for others to share their experience in the Chinese Internal arts. My name is Eric Wilson . . . I trained and taught Chinese Kung-fu, Tai-chi, and Qigong for more than 24 years. And while I did realize a great manifestation of "internal" power, I also experienced some very strong negative effects. I am sharing my story and these experiences at the links below, and it is my prayer that these will be of help to those who also have had questions about the spiritual source of Chi and "internal" power. Thank you, Eric Wilson and family
  5. That which Awakens is always awake, always there. I attended a 3 day retreat on The Mandukya Upanishad, which shows us the nonduality inherent in our everyday experience, right here and right now, by pointing to something that underlies our everyday experiences of waking, dreaming and deep sleep. To try an exercise as an experiment (I've seen Papaji do this and it worked for me), for anyone who wants to try ie. -- Try and see who you are, in a fraction of a second, without thinking. Don't try to guess what the answer will be, but in YOUR EXPERIENCE, see who you are, without thinking. What do you get? More to follow afterwards.
  6. Book of death

Greetings from South America. Started reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead, I was drawn to Buddism wanting to make myself a better person. I am here to learn and give.
  7. Okay, I have been reading about ways of opening the microcosmic orbit and one way is the cool draw technique known as testicle breathing. Another I have read is about imagining a small white pearl at the lower dantian and then orbiting the pearl around the back and front channel with intention to feel at the same time as visualization. Do you guys think the deer exercise can help open this orbit? And, can you guys tell me what techniques you use to open the microcosmic orbit?
  8. Okay, I have a question again I have started semen retention for the last 4 days meaning no more masturbation. I have been practicing testicle breathing known as the cool draw technique to draw my sexual energy up my brain for better creativity when I feel sexual desire. I am also trying to mediate on the lower dantian as well as practicing zen mediate with mantras/breathing and clear my mind as well. I have currently stop masturbation/pornographic vids, but I want to know if it's okay to do try the aneros prostate massager as long as I don't touch my private area to help my transmute my sexual energy? I used the aneros for the past month on and off basis, but I have recently stop using the aneros because celibacy, so can the aneros help or not control my urge.
  9. how to approach semen retention?

Okay, in daosim and the Hindu epics talk about semen retention and why not to expel this sexual energy out of the body. In daosim the fluid loss of semen results in premature ageing, disease, and general fatigue. While some Taoists contend that one should never ejaculate, others provide a specific formula to determine the maximum amount of regular ejaculations in order to maintain health. There are different methods to control ejaculation prescribed by the Taoists. In order to avoid ejaculation, the man could do one of several things. He could pull out immediately before orgasm. A second method involved the man applying pressure on the perineum, thus retaining the sperm. The primary purpose behind Taoist lovemaking is the transformation of sexual energy into healing energy and vitality, resulting in better health and potential immortality. The primary Taoist technique to achieve these healing effects is called the inward orgasm (in-jaculation), whereby the orgasmic energy rises up the spine, stimulating the endocrine glands, energy systems, nervous system, and organs. Taoists teach that an inner orgasm (in-jaculation) stimulates life and vitality, while the outer orgasm (e-jaculation) brings death or loss of health and vitality. An in-jaculation is the most effective tool for transforming a physical orgasm into an energetic orgasm. The Hindu gods have also conquered death by Brahmacharya and penance. Brahmacharya is abstaining from all kinds of Maithuna or sexual enjoyment forever, in all places and in all conditions- physically, mentally and verbally. Indra, the King of gods, has attained a still higher status, through the self-discipline of Brahmacharya. Death is hastened by letting out semen from the body. Life is saved and prolonged by preserving it. Semen is the real vitality in men. It is the hidden treasure in man. There is no doubt that people die prematurely by letting the semen out of the body; knowing this, the Yogi should always preserve semen and lead a life of strict celibacy. It is the process of controlling the sex energy, conserving it, then diverting it into higher channels and finally converting it into spiritual energy or Ojas shakti. So there are different ways to approach semen retention and which method do you guys think is the most useful to try? I usually masturbate alot, so how do you guys make this sexual desire stop from happening? And should I practice the microcosmic orbit during semen retention or some other mediation like yoga? Okay, my question is basically how should I approach this in a simple manner?

  11. Here's a tough one for you! If you're too old for songs about Santa Claus and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, but you are also not a Christian, so O Holy Night, Silent Night and about 1000 other songs are out, what do you listen to around Christmas? Specifically, what spiritual, but not religious, albums do you like to listen to, assuming you acknowledge the holiday season at all? I can only think of one so far, and that is Sting's, "If On A Winter's Night." But that, technically, according to the artist, is a winter album, not a Christmas album. Maybe the key is winter albums? Looking forward to your suggestions!

  14. What is right for me?

Hello, So I am interested in meditation which will lead to 'higher' planes. I have started with trying to find my spirit guides, and think I have contacted them once. I am also interested in magick but the only references I have are franz bardon. the type of magick i would be interested in would be, if possible, to do through knowledge gained in meditation or something I can do alone, but without alot of space. I am just very interested, as a beginner, for where to start so I can see/experience what my journey. I like it to feel as 'real' as possible. I don't have a set place but I am looking for the start place so I can become more spiritually aware and then deicide my path. Thanks!
  15. Synchronicity

As human beings become more and more out of touch with Nature and more entrenched in modern society, as they become more and more materialistic in their thinking, as their energy channels and hearts become more closed off, they also lose touch with the phenomena of Synchronicity. Here is a really cool Synchronicity quote generator, based on sayings and quotes by the one and only Edgar Cayce- http://www.all-edgar-cayce.com/edgar-cayce-inspirational-quotes.htm
