  1. Well, Sifu Jenny has confirmed that I do indeed have an entity that needs to be removed.

I'm so torn right now, because I cannot afford to fly down and have it removed.

At the same time, I was advised not to do any qigong or energy work, as it will simply feed the entity. However, I have been having great success as of late with FPQG.

I have no idea what to do. I wish I could afford the treatment. :(

  2. And just two more questions while I'm at it !

While performing FPQG, I find it hard *not* to focus on something in my body, like maybe trying to breathe better or some part of my body that needs healing. Of course, I notice that the energy immediately flows to that area and goes to work. Is it a hindrance to focus on different parts of the body while performing the exercises? If it's better not to, what should one focus on, in terms of body awareness?

Also, I have found that the FP energy really kicks into full gear when I go to bed and start to fall asleep at night. I can feel it moving into problematic areas and releasing blockages. Is this common?

Lastly, is it acceptable to switch legs (left over right) for the seated meditations?

  3. Dear Sifu Terry,

I would like to know your thoughts on practicing FPQ if one has a really bad posture that prevents them from sitting/standing up straight?

For the sitting meditation, I have to keep my back supported to be able to sit, but even then, I have to use an enormous amount of energy and tension to keep my back up and straight and prevent it from collapsing forward. I can never really fully relax and especially the T8-10 area in my back remains "closed" where no energy can pass throguh..

I know it's not ideal in the slightest, but is there a way to do the meditations in the lying down position, at least until I can get the energy flowng properly through my back?

If not, how should I best proceed? Because I want to keep doing it but have a hard time seeing how it would resolve itself. I can't imagine making any progress until I am able to release the tension, but it's the only thing that's keeping me from completely collapsing. I have seen a lot of specialists concerning my postural problems, but none have told me wha I can do to fix it..

Any advice would be much appreciated..

  4. Thanks :)

    Hi Crunchy Chocolate,

What a great user name. I see someone already provided the reading list. I read some of the books on that list for ambiance, creating a mood that uplifts me and at the same time provides knowledge and appreciation for this inner path to the Tao. I do not read the books for techniques, that is what we have spiritual teachers for. The quotes above provided by Dainin really describe One who is experiencing life from Awakening. Everything just IS without being filtered by the thoughts. Some of my friends recently went into permanent Awakening from the Oneness Blessing movement of sri Bhagavan and that is how they now perceive with direct experience of Consciousness. I consider that to be part of the Tao. To me the Tao is Absolute Pure Bliss Consciousness. In vedic terms, Sat Chit Ananda. The only game in town worth playing.

The Yi Gong is from Jenny Lamb's dvd. The easiest Neigong I know of and tested out also to be the most powerful and remarkable in what it does filling up almost immediately with golden liquid light clearing the energy channels which is what causes the spontaneous bodily movements as you just sit in a chair with your hands in a certain position. It is all automatic. I do not do the method with any regularity because I enjoy Flying Phoenix much better.

  5. Sorry I didn't reply earlier guys, thanks for all the suggestions! I'm still hesitant to call get help from some of the K "experts" and other entity removers for some reason.. part of me feels I would just be bothering them and I need to do this on my own..

Here's more info on what happened:

I was doing BKF's dissolving meditation, released some stuff in my upper back that made me feel incredibly blissful and at peace, like when I was a kid!.. and I went down too low... a pocket of energy suddenly released from my sacrum and traveled up my spine. It got stuck at the T8-T10 spinal vertebrae, and then shot rightwards into what I now think is my liver (I have bad liver qi stagnation so that's where I draw my conclusion).

Suddenly, my vision went completely red and started flashing with white light, my whole body felt contracted and freezing cold, my heart felt started pounding and felt like it was about to jump out of my chest, and I felt a feeling of intense dread like I have never felt before in my life. It literally was the most intense fear I had ever experienced, ever.

I tried to ride it out, but it was just too intense and too scary, so I opened my eyes and tried to move around a bit. I was shaking all over and alternating between feeling extremely hot to freezing cold and SHIVERING. I tried doing some stretches and exercise to cool it down a bit, and it did indeed cool down, but nothing has been the same since...

*I should mention that the above experience has since occurred again on a number of occasions, but was much less severe and I was better able to handle it...

It has flared up a whole plethora of very negative and bizarre (but not debilitating) mental, emotional and physical symptoms that I don't really feel like enumerating at the moment.

BUT, on the bright side, the most invaluable thing it has flared up along with all the crap is an unshakeable inner resolve. I am firmly determined to get to the bottom of all my issues. I am 100% determined to fix my mind and body, get rid of all the toxicity and regain all the harmony and balance. I mean, I am really dead set on it. I know I can do this...

So right now, I am following a very intense qigong, tai chi and meditation regime. I fixed my diet, I'm (trying!) to clean up my thoughts, and I'm really just doing everything I can... and not in a desperate manner either.. I'm just doing what I feel I gotta do.

I have tried the MCO, but have decided not to do it anymore because it made things much worse, no matter how much or for how long I practice it.

I can't say I'm happy right now.. there's a lot of things I wished would just be normal.. like I would at least like to be able to interact with people (just talking with someone face to face is one of the most challenging things I can do right now, so I tend to avoid people).

It's quite strange the way energy moves in my body since this happened... it seems that entire pockets of energy are able to move around and activates different "plexus'" in my spine (and as it does, it produces the very intense "snake-like" sways and oscillations K is famous for), which drastically change my outlook on things, and the energy I emit, and how people react to me. However, it's a very shaky and unstable foundation and I have to really be careful.

Like I said, the bulk of the problem (IMO) is the enormous blockage at the T8-10 vertebrae. It's like the energy is trying to break through a huge dam... the trepid waters are very intense behind it... It reflects in my posture and I have so far been unsuccessful in fixing it. Pretty much my entire thoracic region is thus completely numb and feels dead. I can barely feel anything up there unless I "force" energy into there.. I can indeed bypass the dam, but only temporarily and on a very small level.

  6. Hello friends,

I am stuck in a bit of a dilemma here...

This last December, I had what I am very positive to be a Kundalini awakening. I cannot say 100% for sure, but I am still pretty damn sure. The only reason I am not 100% sure is because it was incredibly frightening and traumatizing, whereas for most people, it seems like it is bliss. It basically felt like I was dying and my heart was going to explode. Afterwards, I had many of the debilitating Kundalini symptoms such as body shakes, spontaneous heat and cold, intense pressure in the head, etc. etc.

On the positive side, it seems it has brought up some amazing insight and intuition and clarity into the "higher goal", if that makes any sense.

Anyway, my question is: does Kundalini have the ability to remove entities, or at least make you work through your karma in such a way that the entities might leave?

I have pretty much ALL the signs and symptoms of being the host to a very bad entity. The other day I finished reading through Sifu Jenny Lamb's website and it really is spot on. So I decided to email her and inquire about healing and entity removal.

The thing is, though, that for some reason, I am absolutely 100% confident that even if I actually do have the worst entity imaginable, that I really can get rid of it on my own, either by letting Kundalini do it's thing or through hard diligent practice. Maybe not in one day, but if I continue doing the right things that I am doing now, that it will clear up on it's own. Am I delusional in thinking this?

The other problem as mentioned before, is that getting a confirmation from someone who holds a lot of spiritual authority such as Sifu Jenny that I may indeed have an entity, would only reinforce the idea and make things unnecessarily worse.

  7. Hi Steve,

Sorry to make you repeat if you have already, as I don't know how far back in the thread to go to find the answers.

Could you please tell me where I can find Sifu Dunn's recommended reading list? Also, what style of Yi Gong do you personally practice?

    Thanks!

    Hi A.,

LOL because you name is too long for me to type. I really enjoyed your wisdom laden comments. Sifu Terry has commented on Yi Gong earlier in this thread. He saw no conflict doing FP and Yi Gong. But there should be a span of time between the 2 methods. My mental understanding of both methods probably comes from reading some of the books on Taoism on Sifu Terry's reading list. I think that all of these ancient energy methods can only truly be understood by a mind which has reached mystical dimensions where different laws of Nature are then cognized and we have heightened perception/Consciousness and with that comes understanding rather than knowing only from thought process. I have no idea how FP really does whatever it does and the same thing goes for Yi Gong. I am blessed to work with a truly gifted medical clairvoyant of world renown who has the gift of sight and he literally can see what FP and Yi Gong do for me. He said Yi Gong was one of the most powerful things he has ever tested. And he has had glowing test results from FP and especially the energy that comes from Grand Master Doo Wai's meditations that were in his family before his ancestors were taught FP. I hope that I have done justice to your question. All I really know myself is what I feel while doing FP and what I feel while doing Yi Gong. I am captivated by and infatuated with FP, whereas I have to make myself do Yi Gong, but when Yi Gong kicks in for me, the energy makes my feet and legs quiver and then they just start moving on their own as the chi starts moving.

  8. Thanks for the very thorough answer!

The reason I ask is that I have trouble with regular breathing in the first place (I have a very tense diaphragm), and reverse breathing just tends to make everything worse and energy starts stagnating in my solar plexus. :(

No detrimental effects. Just do it. Reverse breathing is mainly to kick start the dantien. In SFQ the most important thing is your intent anyway, your visualization. I suggest trying the set both ways--using both types of breathing, and see if you notice any difference. Reverse breathing shouldn't be stressed or strained at all. But either way you breath, keep that tongue connected to the roof of your mouth.

In fact, when I went to a seminar for Level One, Chun yi didn't say anything about reverse breathing, even though it is causually mentioned in the Level One dvd. Practice and intent are the keys, deep breathing will come in time.

  9. Not true, all of the ones I mentioned give reasonably clear explanations and protocol. The reason that so few people are well-versed in the practice is that outside of these books, there is little information. For instance, you will be hard pressed to find any good instructions using google.

I am however, a bit disappointed that I have never found clear answers to some of the questions I've had on the subtleties of the practice such as which qi-awareness methods are best (visual vs tactile), the surface area of awareness, the intensity, etc. etc.

I do suppose in the end that this is the kind of thing you should find out for yourself.

However, if you are asking in terms of the actual practice, the info is out there, and only takes a few pages of reading to get down. It is not very complicated.

Be forewarned that Yang Jwing Ming's Small Circualtion book only has a single chapter of PRACTICAL information on how to do the MCO, and the rest is trivial theory. It was literally a painful book to read through, but the few pages of info were well worth the effort that I have not been able to find anywhere else.

Doesn't any of your books tell you. All the masters had written books on the subject, and how come nobody knew anything about it or how to practice it. Is there anybody know what is the MCO at all. It seems to me everybody talks about it and sounds they are familiarized it. However, it seems like an irony if no body can explain it.

  10. Feet parallel or pointing outwards?

My school (NATST instructor) has us do them with feet parallel. I find I get more of a challenging workout with feet pointed outwards as I can go much lower...

    Thoughts?

  11. I'm sure there have been many of these before, but I thought I'd start a new one! Let's talk about the different styles and variations of this practice and which ones are your favorite and why.

So far I've read and familiarized myself with Mantak Chia's MCO, Yang Jing Ming's Small Circulation and Chunyi Lin's Small Universe.

I have found some pretty big variations in terms of theories (ie. Chia has you spend some prolonged time on a single point for it to open before circulating energy through it), which points are used, which techniques are used to lead the qi (for instance, YJM says to keep your mind at least 2 points in advance of the qi when leading in order for it not to stagnate, but Master Lin's system has you breathing once into each point), as well as how many points are gone through in a single breath, the direction, etc. etc.

I myself only have experience with Master Lin's Small Universe as that's the first one I learned and the most simple. However, I am looking to start YJM's version after I finish reviewing the protocol a few times...

    How do YOU practice MCO?

  12. Listen, I could spend an hour typing out some useful advice but having a good idea about your current state of mind from my own personal experience, I doubt it will be of much use to you.

I have gone through my own kundalini awakening (still am). I had to go through two year-long periods of deep suicidal depression during which I was rendered completely non-functional in every sense of the word. I was stuck in a perpetual thought-loop of gloom and despair and wanted nothing more than for all of it to be over with. The most enjoyable part of my days was when I was asleep, and I the thing I dreaded the most was to be awake.

But, it passed. I, too, thought it was going to last forever. But deep down, I knew that it wouldn't. So what did I get from it? Something immense and invaluable that you will one day realize for yourself.

So please, cut out this "woe is me" bullshit (I'm sorry, but it had to be said) and just accept your situation for what it is without judgment. Just ACCEPT the way you feel and ACCEPT your life without trying to frantically pull yourself out of it as if you're drowning, because you're not. One of the things I learned myself is that trying to resist it will only make it worse.

What it is, is a transient yin-type state that while may not be pleasant, is serving some kind of purpose in your life at this moment. Just chill, and ride it out, and observe it for what it is. It WILL morph into another state of consciousness at one point or another and trust me, it's well worth the wait.

  13. There is a recent theory that most negative effects that people experience from drinking coffee is actually not from the coffee itself but because most coffee beans allegedly have something called mycotoxins (a fungus) that grow on it if the preparation conditions are not absolutely ideal.

These mycotoxins are apparently the main cause of things like headaches and energy crashes, etc.

The guy that is popularizing this idea is Dave Asprey (http://www.bulletproofexec.com/coffee/) and he sells a (very expensive) mycotoxin-free coffee that has been receiving a lot of praise.

If you're familiar with the Joe Rogan podcast, then you've probably already heard about this, but from everything I've read and heard, this is indeed a very legitimate concern in regards to coffee and why people are getting such bad effects from it.

The research is out there, although still in its infancy stage, so check it out!

  14. Wow thanks for all the wonderful recommendations everyone! My acupuncturist is actually also a TCM doc and also my teacher (learning Tui-Na/TCM from him). I have had a few treatments so far but We haven,t noted any major changes in my pulse yet (super tense). I'll definitely try some of the recommendations posted here- this was exactly what I was looking for.

So is the milk thistle preferably taken as a tincture? And also, is it possible to know if there is a related gallbladder problem? My teacher would just tell me to do more bagua/hsing-I until it goes away. :D

  15. Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone here knew of any ways to overcome liver qi stagnation. I was diagnosed by 2 separate acupuncturists as having a fairly bad case of it, and it hasn't improved at all now after 2.5 months of herbs, perfect diet, exercise, qigong, bagua and hsing-I. I do have anger issues, not major IMO, but I do on the other hand have a lot of repressed frustration that I'm working on.

Are there any specific exercises or other things I might try to get the stagnation out? I am we'll familiar with Bruce Frantzis' water method but have never tried it on my liver for the simple fact that I have so many blockages above it that it literally takes me a few hours to get anywhere below my neck..

    Many thanks.

  16. Hey guys,

Since my K popping, I have had enormous issues with energy remaining stuck inside my head. Feelings of *intense* pressure in my head, sinus problems, teeth pain, jerkiness, irritability and anger..

I have tried doing the MCO but since my front channel isn't completely opened and I can't access my lower Dan Tien too well due to liver qi stagnation, a large amount always remains stuck in my head..

I started reading Mantak Chia's MCO book (Awakening the Healing Energy) for clues on how to work around this, and it seems that REVERSING the flow of the MCO and rerouting it through the legs and back up the front channel could do the trick.

I tried doing that today and it did seem to help, but it is still very frustrating because there doesn't seem to be a "release" valve to just flush it all out in one shot. So there's never a clear sign that I'm moving things in the right direction.

I got a bit worried too when Chia mentionned that if energy remained stuck there it could cause physical and emotional damage, so I believe the need to fix this is quite dire.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated..

PS: Would regular qigong/taichi practice help fix this issue..?

  17. Not sure about which mineral is used in Mo Pai. Where did you read that? I would also be interested in knowing..

That said, there's a very good book on Taoists ancient use of minerals, I believe it was called "Taoist mineral magic" or something of that nature. Ill try to find it and get back to you. It is a fairly detailed and comprehensive book IIRC.

Edit: yup, that's the book. "Daoist mineral magic"

  18. You are probably right, there certainly could be!

Thing is, I don't know *exactly* what it could be, though.

    Any way to find out?

This is sort of what I was getting at earlier. To try and find something going on in your life that mirrors the medical phenomena. Could there be something in your life, Crunchy, that you are having indecision about, whther to "keep it or let it go?" It's almost like the anus is symbolic for indecision in this case. Our bodies talk to us more than we imagine. If this turns out to be the case and there is a psychological cause (why not possible? After all, we are the Manifester) then there is ceremonial work that can be done to set things "to the opposite", to get under the indecision, to work with a particular character defect that is causing the waffling behavior.

Even if the muhla bandas were the cause, this wouldn't eradicate your body expressing indecision in this way. Something to think about, if the physical meditations/practices don't help.

  19. For sure, and I think that's a responsible practice. However, my question is if it's even possible to detect something like kidney disease/renal failure through TCM diagnostic methods..

Do you nowadays, the TCM doctors ask their patients to visit a western doctor to give a diagnostic report. Then, the TCM doctor will come up with a prescription for the patients.

  20. No teacher, and probably I haven't opened up all my blockages, (actually, all the areas you named there are the worst offenders for me) but I think my alignments are pretty good.

Is there any reason (downsides) as to why one should not attempt to include the legs, though? Like I mean, real concrete reasons outside of "because it says so in the book". I know that my legs are quite detached from the rest of my body (energetically speaking) and I'm sure I would benefit by including them..

In the same vein of idquest's reply...how are your alignments? Have you learned proper/good alignments from a teacher? And, are you free from restrictions/bindings in the shoulders/armpits, kwa, back of heart, occiput & jaw?

  21. Hey everyone,

For those that have some experience with TCM/acupuncture I have a question.

If someone had some form of kidney disease, for instance chronic kidney failure, would the standard diagnosis methods of pulse/tongue be able to detect it in any way?

Likewise, would someone with kidney disease necessarily exhibit symptoms of kidney yin or yang deficiency?
