I do it daily, the Shen based activity that is - not the leisure based variety

  3. Noticed anything strange lately?

I thought so, but it was struggling all the way down - fell in the middle of a 3 lane hwy. I was in my car on the side of the road, eyes closed in meditation - then hear "something is wrong" - opened my eyes and saw it fall from nowhere, struggling, and hit the road.
  4. I said he came to that conclusion, not that he said it, not that it is written so. Your level of abrasiveness is uncalled for here, and you are making it sound harder and more technical than it is. You create more work for everyone with this hateful way, let it go. It's the same hatred that lead to Siddhartha's poisoning. Breath and Stillness is all anyone needs. That's not to say that many have not and will not complicate simplicity into insanity. The Buddha reached his heights because of the soul that he is, not some technique we can squabble over. Compassion! If he was here now he would put a naughty hat on you and sit you in the naughty corner!!
  5. Here's another burning question

ok, I fully respect that, truly. For the highly gifted and sensitive, it is imperative to respect your need for security, safety, and groundedness. Best wishes on your Path.
  6. Here's another burning question

That is the experience of individuated linear awareness, to be sure. "senses are collected information that are stored in that one brain" Senses are vehicles/tools to experience through....sight, sound, taste etc The "data" we glean through them is not stored in the brain, but all throughout the system, squirreled. To keep these squirreled pockets of awareness from our conscious awareness, we need to remain in "the experience of individuated linear awareness" and not expand awareness. When you expand awareness, you gain access to all your hidden pockets - and when they are all irrigated and cleared you reach the next ceiling - which usually starts with empathy (emotional/mental) for others and their stuff.
  7. Here's another burning question

Nice. In my practices and experience the best form of psychic protection (and I agree it is extremely important) is spotlessness. "there are times where I make a conscious effort to avoid tuning in because the situation seems scary or something." Indeed there are, and when you hit those you really feel it. But, what you are feeling is your own emotional/mental/physical body "lighting up" in response to the energies at the "location/target". It is always best ime to clear your responses to these energies - because you will never see the "location/target" clearly until you are spotless within in relation to it. And if you go in before that, you will key into it - and it into you, and you will feel you have been compromised energetically. Zero negative feelings have a root cause at the waking state event we just had that brought them up - ZERO. Meaning that all negative emotions (and mental) have a root cause in our "past" (pastlife other life, earlier in this life, genealogical (familial lives)) If you follow each negative to its root and resolve it with higher self - and then take another go at the target/location - it will be clearer - and you'll have no judgement of said energies - thus they will have no soil to take root within your psyche. IMO emotional clearing is essential for empaths (or anyone aspiring to it) that want to be clearer in their gifts.
  8. Here's another burning question

HAHAHa Oh, another highly gifted empath certain he is not one. Bless You!
  9. Here's another burning question

There is "I" - it's just a construct. Same consciousness individuated through dimensions of experience. It is "possible to shift perspectives through other people as in see through somebody else's eyes and experience what they experience" - Yes. "if this were possible and you knew it was, would you tell me?" - Yes. BKA has it right, it's called empathy. At the normal waking state level you have empathy at an emotional and mental level - whereby you feel and think their thoughts (when you know you are doing it - it is the next level). Then, if you have the ability to attenuate your "individual" experience sufficiently you can take on "their" experience more fully. In that state you can see through their eyes, take part in their experience as if it were you. At that level it is sometimes difficult to determine which way is up, is this me or them? The best way to develop these aspects of awareness, ime, is through your own emotions and thoughts...I have had countless instances seeing through other people's experience as a result of leaving no stone unturned - cultivating emotional.mental/behavioural patterns. But my wife is a natural at this. She thinks much of the time it is hers - a true empath. My wife does it all day - in a waking state its usually just the mento-emotional aspect. She'll do other people's stuff, and I see it and tell her - then she sees the vision. In her dreams she will do other people's waking experience - making it her own dream, but its their exact experience only as if it were hers. She'll awaken and tell me about it, and I'll see into it - but, it doesn't marry. I ask a few questions and then start seeing the visuals, and tell her and then she she's it too. It's as simple as letting go of yourself and loving others as unconditionally as you love yourself, and seek to be loved by others. So, yes, yes, yes.
  10. Indeed. But once you acclimatise to his tricks, he's actually taught you the formula through suffering - unwittingly he's shown you the door. Turn the key and push! Horatio Jackson: He won't get far on hot air and fantasy. Baron Munchausen: Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever. Open the Gates!
  11. It depends entirely upon you. All soft and no hard, or all spiritual and no physical can mean imbalance. Tao is about balance. Weight based work is essential for some in that it helps the root, for others the root is full. Selfishness is an affliction of the imbalanced mind, not inherent within any given practice.
  12. Help out a skeptical beginner..

Good self-advice. Though I think people are saying to don't expect to feel it for years. But, you may be able to do that already. Look up on Yuan Qi & Yuan Shen.
  13. Correct. Maybe try and see the role of the first phase of your meditation as attenuating the mental resistance you are going through. To help with this I suggest a combination of movement and stillness... If you do some more active practice before sitting practice you will help to expend some physical energy, and when you sit to meditate you will find it easier to settle. But, 15 minutes a day is better than 1 hour a day once a week. This in my experience is more about the individuals makeup than about the practices themselves. The practices are a means to an end, crutches to get you somewhere, a rocket blaster that falls away once at the destination. Try to let go of outcomes...if you are sitting there waiting for something to happen > that is what you get.....you get "sitting there waiting for something to happen". But don't take mental resistance and not being able to stop thinking to be a bad thing, just accept what is. The Buddha more or less came to the same conclusions you have (only it took him years ) - that "that as long as you meditate deeply and longly enough, you will be able to achieve those effects regardless.." You might enjoy http://www.meditationexpert.com/meditation-techniques/m_anapanasati_sutra_breathing_yoga_pranayama.html And perhaps realise that the meditation doesn't deliver the "extrasensory abilities" - rather the meditation delivers an irrigation of your bodies, and as they start to "fill up" with life-force - you will experience what you will based mainly upon the "inheritance" from other lifetimes. But then even a fresh starter can get to the top of the mountain in one lifetime...how pure is thine heart? Gnothi Seauton

Well, I was meditating on the weekend and a bird fell from the sky with a broken neck...
  16. Hello from Singapore/Australia

Hey Winston. Check out the Anapanasati Sutra, The Buddhas direct teaching. http://www.meditationexpert.com/meditation-techniques/m_anapanasati_sutra_breathing_yoga_pranayama.html
  17. Help out a skeptical beginner..

The fundamentals are the base of the building, without it you topple and fall. The advanced practices are the leaves of the mature oak that reach to the heavens, without the extensive root systems the leaves will wither. There are many rivers leading to the same ocean. The Sun, the Planets, the Stars and the Myriad will be your food once you remember how to dine. But stillness and breath are your utensils in the great meal, the great work. Attenuate your skepticism in the fires of practice, letting go all expectation, all attachment, all desire, fear, grasping and aversion. After he exhausted all the best teachers, all the best methods, the Buddha could only sit back under a tree and practice simple breathing in stillness. He became then the feast, the feasting, and the feasted.
  18. The Gospel of Thomas

Interesting thread... Made way way to this thread because I've started seeing Metatron's Cube in my meditations...
  19. Qi Meridians and Acupuncture points

Kevin, it would be nice if you could also shed some light upon the "Yellow Sprouts" that issue from the MingMen/Lower Dantien into the Triple Burner. I've seen them with inner vision, bursting out and careering through the triple burner - just like a sparkler flying through a water slide tunnel. To me it seemed like Yang bursting out, and Yin attacking/attaching/battling/twisting/spinning - creating motion hurtling the sparks through TB. I'm keen to know more about the role of the triple burners in developing the Immortal Fetus/Pill, and the specific types of Qi/Jing involved in the "Tiger/Dragon Coupling". I don't ask much
  20. Qi Meridians and Acupuncture points

Very interesting Kevin..."Because it is through 陽明 Yángmīng that we have the strongest connections to the whole system." I found this to be the case, particularly the ST channel. I have recently completed my first round of point therapy through the 12 organ channels using Time Line Meditation (TLM) And I was quite blown away by how intense the connection to the whole system (not just gastro-intestinal) that the Stomach channel was. Maybe just my system, but its feels like its standard. Quite an amazing journey through the channels. Some of these points took me right back to the 'point in time" where my channels switched (as a baby part In Utero partly after birth) from "feeding" from Source/Cosmos - changing over to "feeding" from my mother, and then from food. Very traumatic point for me when the gates closed...oi! But what was very apparent was the importance of the stomach channel over the whole system - not that I'd underestimated it. But, it certainly gave me a greater respect for it. The other extremely "important" channel for me in that process was the Kidney Channel. Perhaps its just my make up - having an over-active Metal balance (birth chart) - but the Kidney Channel clearing is changing EVERYTHING! But what I've been sent here to question you on (ala JoeBlast) is the functional relationships between the Kidney Channel, Yongquan, The Yin Heel Vessel, Zhao Hai, the functions of the Heel Pump, and the inner etheric structures particularly the Heel Cube. I'm in the midst of a growing love affair with my Kidney channel, rooting processes and the Heel Cube. With particular reference to the K3, 4, 5, 6 loop, and the K6, 7, 8, 9 pattern through to the He-Sea K10. I've been working with this area extensively in Yongquan breathing, and seeking to cultivating the Heel Pump in relation to the inner Cube/Cone/Pyramid. Perhaps you can shed some light on the functions of this loop culminating at Zhao Hai - how it relates as the confluence point of the Yin Hell Vessel, How the zig zag at K7,8 assists and the relationship between these the Pump and the inner "Cube" works?
  21. Filling up the lower Dan Tien- How and Why

opendao, honestly... If you know where the dantien really is and how it is really created - then why not share it? If you have knowledge that some people do not possess regarding the functions and workings of Yuan Qi in the development of Dan - then why not share it? If you know what is beyond the usual energy body, then why not share? I'm calling for openness, it's even in your forum name, and I can feel your soul crying out for it... But, you are just not being open. You are being openly critical, despising others and calling others approaches out as ignorant and inconclusive - so why not be open and share? Personally I'd rather have a heartfelt connection with you and share my experiences in a considered and measured manner - which all arise from Yuan Qi and De. Lineages are not the end of it. If a highly evolved master has done all of this work in past lives and comes back here, doe it not make sense that said master would have abundant Yuan Qi, and possible that said Yuan Qi abundance can cause certain things to manifest "naturally" prior to actually practicing specific neidan/neigong? I offer you no resistance, only love.
  22. Filling up the lower Dan Tien- How and Why

Again, all I see is separation. I see groups of people trapped within separation. We are one. If your lineage swears you to secrecy then you swear to remain separate and controlled. Can't you see that such thinking will keep us separate? If you have a method that is better than anyone else's, then share it and the whole world can grow together. What price are you paying for Immortality? It's more than the tuition...
  23. Filling up the lower Dan Tien- How and Why

If there were not many many ways back to Tao, then there would not be so many individuations. Whether you, as an individual, are drawn to any given lineage or drawn to go it alone - the fact still remains that we are all one. This world we share is challenged in every direction by opposing forces that represent separation from wholeness. Many lineages have made a point of recording that their adepts either failed or had a very hard time cultivating true results in times of dire conflict. The grid system and the energies in nature absorb much of our misgivings. In fighting, senseless arguing, disagreements, battles, bloodshed, wars - all create the opposite of what it is that most of us a seeking to cultivate - original nature. I see many practitioners claiming to be very passionate bout their lineage over others naivety. While I commend such steadfast commitment to embrace truth and shun incorrect perception, there is compassion missing. Only when we accept all differences, and yield to what is can we fully embrace Tao. Only when you apply wisdom within and without will true Virtue be with you. How can we merge with all of it unless we embrace it all as home? How can people in conflict over religious beliefs ever come together in peace if people from differing sects in the same philosophy can't even accept one another with love? How can you talk with and walk away with disdain and arrogance from your brothers and sisters and still call yourself one of the Way? Love over Hate, Kindness over Anger, Gentleness over Fear... Where there is power there will always be those that seek to control it. These things of which we speak are naturally occurring phenomena. Even the most masterful adept knows that cultivation is something you allow to occur by allowing yourself to yield to nature, creating the right conditions for it to occur. The Tao creates all of it, we are merely cooperating until we realise we are all of it. Find peace upon your path no matter where it takes you, for a wise one would prefer a single moment of integrity over an immortal eternity out of integrity.
  24. Filling up the lower Dan Tien- How and Why

I feel that is because your intent is to cultivate a crystal clear awareness, as opposed to a "trance-like" wavering state - half-way between sleep and awake? I think that is an interesting point to open up. My definition of a "trance state" is somewhat different. In Time Line Therapy (call it pyschodynamic therapy if you like) I was taught that all states of consciousness are states of trance - just that the nature of the trance state changes. A normal waking state of trance, a deep state of trance, a very deep state of trance etc.. IMO the state of trance between sleep and awake can have several qualities, the most potent of which is a crystal clear awareness state - rather than that wafty sleepy state that has you dipping in and out of clear awareness. Is that why you've "avoided trance states", Spotless - because of that sleepiness state? IMO the wafty deep state is still deep but consciousness is not grounded - the Gong has not been achieved. The most cultivative power comes from crystal clear awareness in complete stillness.
