  1. Christian Qi Gong Masters !?

Energy healers are non-denominational, and Christians have had plenty of qigong healers. They just tend to give the credit to God or Jesus working through them. This is actually better or more honest than these qigong "masters" who take more of the credit for the powers. Working within the Christian belief context is really a more powerful way of going about things, because we have the iconic "love of Jesus," forgiveness, Gods heavenly manna pouring over you, etc, etc. Beliefs create a powerful receptive healing state, meaning the job of the healer is half done.
  2. Are you more or less suggestible during meditation?

This is a good opportunity to do some deep (somatic)therapy. Note your keyword "feel"here, which likely be a feeling too strong for a simple mental NLP reframe, as suggested. Why is dirty give you a bad feeling? We can perhaps go all the way back to your mom cleaning up your soiled diapers. It doesnt matter how far back, what matters is where you feel the feeling (somewhere in your body), locate it, how does it feel. Mentally stare at the feeling the next time it comes up, get to know it. Allow it, accept it, and see that it does not have to control the next thoughts in your head. Meditate straight into or towards the feeling.
  3. Are you more or less suggestible during meditation?

If you relax your conscious mind, or narrow its focus, you will be more suggestible while in some kind of meditation. Some types of meditation, for example where you visualize yourself as a blue Heruka etc, or sending loving kindness, could be described as self-hypnosis. Hypnosis does not have a very broad understanding of cultivating an enlightened mind, nor opening energy channels, kundalini etc. Therefore, hypnosis is kind of like child's play, really only describing some superficial things such as suggestibility or catalepsy, etc.
  4. Fasting

I just broke a 2 week water-only fast. Everything went fine. The first day I detoxed from caffeine, and there was headaches and hot sweats. After that its just weakness and taking it easy. Only light exercise like short strolls. I go into "fasting mode", and just not even try to function normally. I just dumb down. People talk about having energy or working while fasting, but thats not how its seem to work with me. Detox is the main reason. At day 3 ketosis starts, and you burn your fat stores. Around day 10 the body hunts around for other protein sources, and this is where it can get good, because it will hunt down diseases cells, even cancer, or calcification in joints (if you have some kind of chronic joint pain somewhere it will get eaten up) I've had successful results in fasting and accelerated foreign language absorption. I think if you want to be able to meditate through a fast, it takes alot of discipline, because it becomes difficult to focus the mind. I've read that the sufis take a meal every other day, which solves that problem. We might call that meditation with a calorie restricted diet. Likely it could lead to some altered states. But the quickest way to detox is water only without interruptions.
  5. What is Gratitude?

God is grateful to Himself, or the forms of God are grateful to each other--on a deep spiritual or very subtle level. Therefore the question of, "if my deepest nature is God, why should I feel grateful to myself" is moot because the very deepest nature you are talking about has the characteristic of gratitude. Our trouble is that we live as if we were disconnected from that truth, which gives rise to angst, and gives power to individual ego sense of being alone fighting against the current. We can sense energetically and emotionally the peace and well-being that gratitude immediately brings. You may be able to perceive you energy going from idle to 100mph just by switching to gratitude. Its a useful tool for those who have figured it out.
  6. At the moment I am helping a woman with similar insomnia problem. I see two reasons: One is, repressed emotions from history, like guilt, self-blame, self-pity. Reason 2 is a tension-filled lifestyle. Neither of these two reasons are palatable because reason 1 means getting deeper and deeper into hidden stuff that does not want to be seen, so painful so she spent alot of effort in repressing it. Reason 2 means that the solution would to move on or totally quit the lifestyle (business success) to an unknown, likely less successful life. So the easier route is to suggest a lower chakra energizing lifestyle, close to the outdoors as much as possible, so a rebalance happens in a natural way, rather than deliberate therapy, which is always hit and miss--as you have seen. If you go to a therapist or specialist in some sprititual modality, they will always sell you on their interpretations of the problem, and sell you on their solution. If there was a death of a loved one previous to the insomnia, then you may want to include spirit attachment as possible cause.
  7. Energy, in reality it is continuously moving, similar to blood. Feelings of pressures may be due to overall unbalanced openings of energy channels, and therefore the solution is a rigorous, long-term self-application to energy balancing activities (not little fixes and herbs). Get into nature, camping, sports, surfing, canyoning, mountain hiking, etc. The 9 bottled breath meditation is good for balancing. Salt water baths. Common reasons for insomnia is stress, pressures, psychological emotional issues. EFT is not a cause but became a trigger for unbalanced opening of energy channels, letting the unresolved emotional issues to come to the forefront, affecting sleep balance.
  8. After kundalini awakening, what next?

A toilet that keeps swirling and flushing your endless diarrhea.
  9. I would like to know how to hypnotize myself...

If you are going to make a hypnosis recording, first find some free "hypnotic induction script", a long progressive relaxation type with lots of deepeners. What you are proposing about writing the answers wont work because that will be engaging your conscious mind, therefore losing the hypnotic trance. For self hypnosis, the simpler the better. Give yourself one instruction, or one intent, then let go, and let your mind drift as your subconcious mind follows the hypnotic wording (deeper and deeper). I've tried what you were thinking about years ago with the idea of looking for past lives. Its nearly impossible without a hypnotist guiding you. Suppose your instruction was to "go back to when you were 7 years old" Just write it on a paper, keep it in mind, and follow someone elses "deep trance" induction from youtube. Or you can copy their wording into your voice and then set yourself commands for whatever goal you want to set for your subconscious mind or behavior patterns you want to set.

Nice to see you stop by Cat.
  11. Kunlun: Max Christensen radio interview (April 2014)

Entertaining. Good to see he's still on the scene inspiring people to think outside the box.
  12. Problem is TB's high search rankings can really put some teacher's reputations at risk. Teachers don't have time to debate all the upstarts or put out every fire that comes up in threads. Perhaps an ability to moderate own threads would make some feel safer, though it still wouldn't give protection from people who are out to attack, because other threads can be used to make indirect criticisms. Every teacher that comes on here eventually has to deal with the "charging of money" complaint. Most teachers of standing get baited on issues then when they get furious, someone points out that that teacher shouldn't say such angry words. The list goes on of predictable issues that I have noticed over the years.
  13. If you supply the intent (to heal) then this is your intent as a seperate ego, even if you invoke or completely rely on God to make things happen. We want to feel that we are more in charge of things, but I dont think its the case that we are really in charge of much except one little piece-- in the same way we do not create the air we breathe, or created our capacity to breath. We just do our little bit. Before, when doing healings I somehow cognized it as I doing a healing, but now, I cognize it as me surrendering to the universe that heals towards my intent.
  14. Zazen, Dazuo(打坐), and Meditation

Zazen is da chan in Chinese, while da zuo is the same but seems to have a broader meaning. Most people dont know the difference because Chan or zen is so popular and perhaps sets the social standard for what proper meditation is. Zazen is supposed to be boring and somewhat uncomfortable in order to stress the mind, and its meant to go with the other zen trainings that are similar. This leads to what Chogyam Trungpa characterizes as flashes of prajna. Other ways to da zuo or sit and meditate are not as harsh as zen, use different strategy to make progress. This is my understanding, which I sometimes have to explain because I meditate in bed and it looks as if I am lazing and not meditating or da zuo at all.
  15. How do you surrender yourself to whatever your doing?

Yeah I also asked this question alot all along. One day I realized that I could surrender better. Conclusion: its an abilily just like other siddhi, gongfu or spiritual attainments which is a product of all that you do. Clearly practicing surrender is a useful thing, but you are always limited by your overall spiritual progress.
  16. damn kundalini at it again

I hear you man. I pray or supplicate higher beings at that point. Another one when its super painful, is to think about the you, mind and body is not the real you, which actually is feeling pretty good.
  17. Pineal Gland my experience, and yours.

Alot of people are experiencing pineal types of activity, higher energy, the last few days. I believe its some kind of information transfer, or download.
  18. Should I kill the mice?

Strange, I dreamt about this topic this morning. I think you could trap them humanely and set them free.
  19. Ego - How To Hunt It.

I think meditation is a tool to give space between actions thoughts and reactions, in real life speed, doing real life stuff, rather than the ultimate tool that in itself searches and dissolves ego. Just as aspirations must be translated into practise, meditational insight must be translated to behavior. Kleshas or negative thoughts and emotions are super easy to find, because you can feel them in the body as negative feelings. Thats years worth of material there. The stories that we constantly make in our minds while doing daily stuff is basically all ego, so its not hard to find. The hard part is to stop the programming and Know how to override it and with what, such as lojong. I get some good insights from meditation. An example is I realized that we can just behold objects, beings etc with no any inner discourse, no minute emotional shift, just beholding.Add to that a dash of child-like curiosity. For example gaze at the dirty dishes, see them as a priori existing as a kind of beautiful sight, and just wondering, curiously about the details and artistry of the arrangement. Meditation is a step, giving a half of a breath of pause before the karmic programmed mind takes you here and there. But just like addicts trying to kick the habit, every morning is a new morning in samsara.

  22. Reading The Intentions Of Others

Can you know the source of what makes 90% of people feel negative? You cannot say 90% of people have harmful intention. What is it that you are reading?
  23. Connect your mind to the highest intent, the meaning of the energy wish, compassion, gratitude, that is the path. dont get caught up in paranoia. focus on how we are all connected to source, all these people here and there are expressions of source. I sent you energy just by replying to your post.
