  1. I agree with the descended from celestial beings theory

    Aether > Air > Fire > Water > Earth

    Now we have to go

    Earth > Water > Fire > Air > Aether

Natural selection makes more sense... minor changes in comparison

Evolution as Apech notes "apes leading to upright man are a distortion"

We have seen no evidence in support of this

No other creature has repeated this... not that there is anything to repeat... other than micro adaptions?

    The timelines don't work

+ what government would want people to understand their celestial origins... that would be too empowering...

    ...

hmm there are a number of examples of life spontaneously appearing... in extremely hostile environments..as if from "nowhere".

Like bacteria growing in nuclear reactors... or something

  2. Hehehe. I must speak to this.

I think you judge Buddha a little bit too harshly. There really was a lot of suffering before he said we are suffering. And I will suggest that his father was part of the cause for that. Taking from the poor to feed the wealthy always creates suffering amongst the poor.

Yes, suffering is a mental state. But pain is not. Starvation is painful. He observed many in this condition and intuitively knew that they must be suffering.

Buddha knew he couldn't change the world so he arrived at a method of dealing with suffering: pretend you are not suffering. I mean, if you have the mental capacity to imagine gods and spirits and devils why can't you imagine you are not suffering?

hm... I am happy someone saw the humour in it haha... being a little cheeky :P haha

You brought back a memory. When I vacationed in Mexico my favorite mid-day drink was a mango slushee. Tasty beyond description.

I feel like crying for the want of tasty beyond description mangoes... Buddha save me!

I laugh and cry in joy for the taste of divine ripened mangoes... heaven is on earth...

  3. What is written in Chapter 80... haha

Tao Te Ching - Lao Tzu - chapter 80

A small country has fewer people.
Though there are machines that can work ten to a hundred times faster
than man, they are not needed.
The people take death seriously and do not travel far.
Though they have boats and carriages, no on uses them.
Though they have armor and weapons, no one displays them.
Men return to the knotting of rope in place of writing.
Their food is plain and good, their clothes fine but simple,
    their homes secure;
They are happy in their ways.
Though they live within sight of their neighbors,
And crowing cocks and barking dogs are heard across the way,
Yet they leave each other in peace while they grow old and die.

    ???

    I agree...

  4. You, typically, make some wild assumptions about my 'beliefs', which says a bit to confirm my opinion about your approach towards a solution for inner development.

Ironically, i do share some of your views as to ways to heal the planet, for example, eradicating heavy dependency on meat consumption etc., but then again, anything which causes dependency will eventually fail anyways. Its not so much what is done or acted upon, rather, the motives kept in check that counts more.

Reflecting on this actually brought up a recollection of scenes of less-than-peaceful exchanges during animal rights protests reported from time to time. That people who activate awareness to animal cruelty would resort to violent means in defence of their projected views is quite ironical. But not all are like that. I know a few vegans who are especially meek, docile and quiet. Guess your views indicate you could be one of the exceptional few who prefers to stand at the front lines of attention.

I made such an assumption as you mostly ignored what I had said and chose only to state "Reading some of the views you have presented, it does not appear that your diet choice has made any impact on your outlook about things in general, so no..."

Your communications in my opinion weren't very effective.

If people were killing your family wouldn't you be at "the front lines" ... not that TB is the front lines... haha

I assume.. being a Buddhist thoough? you would sit back with indifference

It may be that these peoples deep empathy and compassion leads them to defending animals like they would a brother, sister, father, mother etc...

With such empathy you feel the pain they feel...

You'd think on a "spiritual" forum... folks would be more inclined toward compassion and defense of fellow sentient beings... but no you get attacked and called an attention whore for trying to prevent (even if slightly) mass murder... and saying that health = happiness... ok...

It would appear... that humans enjoy suffering... and are only interested in their own suffering.

To think of the suffering of others is too difficult and militaristic / front lines action OORAH!

  5. Good stuff Seeker

    Thanks for sharing... good points...

Swimming against the river causes suffering? go with the flow of life = harmony and peace

I am happy you have found these things :)

For me health is flow of life... + life begets life... and death begets death...

When you are at peace with nature/ animals... not consuming it... greater peace will flow... as you respect life it respects you... if you fk around with Nature... it is going to be painful.

And to be at peace = to be at understanding ... so peace could also be higher reasoning?

    understanding wu wei?

It is like a person with diabetes who continually eats cake.... they are working against the laws of nature... they do not have the higher reasoning/ will power to go beyond the cake... and suffer so...

If somebody just pointed this out though... do not eat the cake and you can be happy, healthy, peaceful... but even then... some will eat themselves to death... and they get angry when you question their cake

The cake is only a short term pleasure... long term consequences

When you consume the truly delicious fruits and vegetables nature provides in abundance... bliss will follow... but peoples bodies are way over stimulated and they struggle to enjoy these natural pleasures... fasting etc helps to purge these addictions and to recalibrate natural desires

  6. Reading some of the views you have presented, it does not appear that your diet choice has made any impact on your outlook about things in general, so no, i for one will not buy the above assertion that veganism alone is sufficiently wholesome for the spirit.

you have too strong of an attachment to Buddha

and you believe "spirituality" is about being meek, docile, without passion

all these facades of what a "good/spiritual person" is

I know people who speak and pretend to be good... but fill their bodies with the stolen flesh and blood of other sentient creatures... demons with a smile...

my words are quite light in comparison to what some of the ancient sages said about similar things

you can be happy, peaceful, powerful and purposeful

    maybe not in Buddhism though

CT doesn't believe physical healthy = happiness... ok...

Such a simple and immediate solution ignored...

Many humans want to suffer that is the truth... without that they have nothing

you know if the majority of people on this planet went vegetarian/ vegan there would be enough food to feed the entire planet twice over... i guess that isn't "sufficiently wholesome for the spirit." ...

Maybe if I just stare at a wall everything will be solved...

Or maybe Buddha will feed these people?

O Buddha I am nothing... feed me

    monk-bowing-down.jpg

  7. peace is when you stop filling your body with garage and eat as nature intended and the natural light of the cosmos will flow through you... the natural state of all things is peace/ bliss/ harmony/ creativity ... many have corrupted the temple/body totally though and are like a rusty spark plug... disconnected and unable to spark...

it really is very simple... no mediation for 50 years... just eat properly and you will feel gooooodd.... and when you feel good.... you can feel goood for other people... and then everyone starts feeling gooood and everything becomes goood

Physical health is the foundation of happiness and world peace... healthy body = healthy mind = healthy spirit

    :D

Have some MANGOES ... do these not shine like the SUN? These Mangoes are very very happy :D :D :D

  8. I think prayer can be many things depending on the person... as with meditation

Sometimes prayer can be songs of gratitude etc

There are a lot of "New Age" people who say "don't believe me...see for yourself..." few actually see for themselves... this is a way of building trust without actually doing anything

How see... they are a good person... they tell me to see for myself... but I am just going to follow whatever they say anyway...kind of thing because... they are the master/ the guru/ the teacher

  9. Karma = Sin

    Meditation = Prayer

    Buddha = Christ

Both have heaven and hell realms

Both teach salvation through surrendering ones sovereignty / identity / self-hood (to the state ultimately haha)

Monks/ Priests act as a middle man between you and the divine

Both request donations and that donations = good karma... or buying your way into heaven

Both build temples/ churches, statues and monastic orders to their "one god unseen, unknown/unknowable" figure whether "neither believe in a god, nor don't believe in a god" or of godlessness

Both have a hierarchy and vows/contracts though teach "equality"

Both are hypocrites generally ... teaching compassion but eat meat etc ...

Both negate the physical world and preach poverty though the center of these organizations/ corporations are very wealthy (another example of how communism is a capitalist system)

    Both are universalist/ globalist

Both teach non-violence though have been involved in violence (despite the texts) and self-harm practices ... both teach non-violence even when others are oppressing you = servile = state/corporate indoctrination = slavery

    Both teach weakness and dependency

    Both worship death

When you translate the mantras they aren't so different to Christian

The exterior can be beautiful and the intentions of others and their experiences pure... though filtered through these things... with the unfortunate attachments

There was a famous composer I forget who... who created beautiful/ divine music... though himself had no feeling for the Church etc...

But his music was divine... from within ... the church/ temple was just capitalizing on his innate feelings/ creativity

  10. The Western World = 8% of the world population

I haven't seen anything that says the other 92% are atheists

Buddhism is no different to Christianity really

Which is in sharp decline in Europe... and rising in Communist China... Christianity and Communism are not separate things...

Judaism/ Christianity kept Europe in a dark age for 1000++ years ... many are still in a daze... yet to throw off the yoke of usury too... / international banks

I recall the Ancient Greek Pagans had basic analog computer type things tracking planets something 200-400BC? abouts... Library of Alexandria was estimated to have around 1 million scrolls/ texts... burned to the ground... I wonder where we would be today without that cultural + ethnic destruction... 2000 years + advancement ... not sure how many other groups underwent such a lengthy cultural annihilation... who knows what spiritual traditions were destroyed...

Hopefully China wakes up before they find themselves in a 1000+ cultural revolution/ destruction ... witch hunts of Qi Gong practitioners... and so on

  11. But on the other hand that might be precisely what draws men towards it and gives them a lot of drive, perhaps the further away from union you assert yourself the stronger the longing and drive there is to return, the more separate you feel the stronger the force is puling you back.

Men naturally become more removed from the earth by the natural process while growing up of identifying themselves away from the mother towards the father, while women through their ability to give birth remain more connected to the cycles of life. So adult men perceive themselves as further away from union with the whole, which is why as Desmond Tutu says the male human is probably the most isolated and thus fearful of all of God's creatures and perceive themselves further removed from Gods love than anything else on the planet, so they may need spirituality more otherwise that disconnect can manifest in ways like trying to prove themselves as worthy and fighting wars etc.. So men may feel a spiritual drive to reconnect to the whole more strongly than women as they feel more disconnected, which might be part of the reason why you get so many male teachers and males who write books and male spiritual figures.

Men generally don't fight wars to "prove themselves"

I'd say men fight wars to protect their family... Wife, Children, Parents etc to secure their homeland etc

  12. That would be inner peace. Total satisfaction with what and who you are. Total acceptance of your condition within your environment.

    Easy you say?

Then why are there so many miserable people on the planet? Why do Buddhists keep telling us that we are suffering?

    The Buddha is a devil.

    The Buddha creates suffering

The Buddha said "you are what you think!" .... then he tells people... you are suffering, life is suffering... what a mind f*** eh?

  13. Then with that then, can Tribal Culture last forever?

It is going to be difficult to last forever with globalist/ empire ideologies and that "death is good" ... all depends on the situation... not so easy as "death = rebirth..."

“…the unabated influx of Chinese immigrants to Tibet, which has the effect of overwhelming Tibet’s distinct cultural and religious identity and reducing the Tibetans to an insignificant minority in their own country, amount to a policy of cultural genocide.Today, in most of the major towns and cities Tibetans are already marginalised. If this population transfer is allowed to continue, Tibetan civilization will cease to exist in a few decades.” - 14th Dalai Lama

  14. if you want peace and even bliss... just eat a raw vegan diet...fresh fruit and vegetables... isn't so difficult or esoteric...

99% are already living the void... lol

  15. Samuel is an 8 month-old bull calf rescued from the dairy industry by Gaia Sanctuary in Spain. Samual arrived at the Sanctuary when he was just a few days-old.

The Sanctuary says, “Right after giving birth, babies are separated from their mothers and caged. This is to avoid them drinking the milk meant to be for humans. If the newborn is a male he will be sent to the slaughterhouse within a week, whereas if she’s a female, she will be reared to join the production chain. Cows average lifespan is around 25 years, but when they’re exploited to the point of total exhaustion they’re sent for slaughter when they’re just 4 years-old.”

Here, watch as Samuel enjoys some relaxing love and affection with a Sanctuary employee. There is such a bond between these two, it’s beautiful to watch.

  16. Lucy is a 2014 French-American high-concept science-fiction action film, Written and directed by Luc Besson....is out in DVD here.

First of all,...IMO, a reoccurring problem with the film is the idea of "Brain Capacity." What the film seemed to be about was Consciousness Capacity,...how much actual consciousness are we utilizing (of which the answer, from a Buddhist/Taoist view, is very little). Although the film used the term "Brain Capacity," most anal science buffs, interpreted that as meaning "using 10% of one's brain," which most today agree that 100% of the brain used,...although people actual don't use that much at one moment. IMO, this low budget film would have done much better focusing on consciousness,... perhaps that the first 6 levels of consciousness can only utilize 10% of the brains capacity monment to moment,...thus broaching the subject of the 7th and 8th levels of consciousness.

Lucy: "Life was given to us a billion years ago. What have we done with it?"

Lucy: "I used to be so concerned with who I was and what I wanted to be, and now that I have access to the furthest reaches of my brain, I see things clearly and realize that what makes us "us" it's primitive. They're all obstacles."

Professor Norman: We humans are more concerned with having than with being.

Lucy: "Every cell knows and talks to every other cell. They exchange a thousand bits of information between themselves per second. Cells join together forming a joint web of communication, which in turn forms matter. Cells get together, take on one form, deform, reform makes no difference, they're all the same. Humans consider themselves unique, so they've rooted their whole theory of existence on their uniqueness. "One" is their unit of "measure" but its not. All social systems we've put into place are a mere sketch: "one plus one equals two", that's all we've learned, but one plus one has never equaled two there are in fact no numbers and no letters, we've codified our existence to bring it down to human size, to make it comprehensible, we've created a scale so we can forget its unfathomable scale."

Lucy plays a video of a car running on a road. She makes the car run faster and faster until it completely disappears from the screen. Lucy says the car doesn't exist, that nothing exists in this universe, the only thing that matters is time.

Lucy: "Time is the only true unit of measure, it gives proof to the existence of matter, without time, we dont exist."

Professor Norman: I'm not even sure that mankind is ready for it. We're so driven by power and profit. Given man's nature, it might bring us only instability and chaos..

Lucy: "Ignorance brings chaos, not knowledge."

    Money is mentioned "profit" haha

I am just defining "We" ...

The movie is putting blame on MAN ...in general...

I am saying International Banks are all these things... no the movie was the direct opposite really

    The psychopaths are projecting

I am just saying how this system was financed largely

All these statements of what humans are... are fabrications, distortions of the original

With the destruction of organic cultures... the shadow groups created a human without humanity

As the cultural expressions were destroyed so was the spirit/ root / guide

By "religious" groups... who are IB in earlier days

Now they condemn humans for the materialism and lack of spirit they have worked tirelessly to create... you see?
