  1. Sending Chi into something

Your encouragement is appreciated as well
  2. Sending Chi into something

I am a beginner level student of Stillness-Movement. Yet I have had a few successful healing sessions where I've helped the patient with fever, headache, earache etc. Right now I'm working on my girlfriend's Chihuahua that has back and knee problems. I don't know how much good I can do but it's amazing how the dog always sets himself in a comfortable position for receiving the energy, even from a few yards distance, and quiets down -apparently to take it all in- whereas he usually tends to be a bit restless and not stay in one place for long, to be stroked for example.
  3. Genuine Schools

I was deeply moved by this. I just recently experienced a state where I could not remember if I had just died or not. I mean I was really not sure. And I couldn't, in that moment, remember.. just about anything. I had no problems either
  4. Stillness Movement

Am a beginner, taking part in a distance class and am loving it.
  5. TTB weekly trancendental meditation experiment

    I'm interested in partaking.
  6. What to d(a)o in London?

Going to visit London over the next weekend. I tried the search but couldn't find much info so I thought if there's anyone here with recommendations of places or people to visit then I would appreciate that. I haven't yet met an energy arts master in person so if you can recommend one it would be very interesting. This is one site I found that's interesting, any experiences? http://www.lamkamchuen.com/lamkamchuen.com/News_%26_Events/News_%26_Events.html Yeah I know this may not be the best time of the year to go to London lol.. But I have my plane tickets and hotel booked and not much to do there since the Stillness-Movement workshop was cancelled.
  7. What to d(a)o in London?

Went there, felt Qi power. Nice!
  8. Feeling heat in my palms.

One of the coolest things so far happened just a while ago when I was rebounding.. It felt like there was cool fluid inside my legbones and knees.
  9. Feeling heat in my palms.

Lots of different experiences, signs and symptoms come and go. It's one of the entertaining aspects of practice I had red/purple spots appearing on my palms around the laogong points when I started with Gift of Tao movements.
  10. Do Ya'll guys drink?

I tried a daily drinker's lifestyle for half a year or so, with 1 to 3 drinks/beers a day plus occasional social drunkenness. I thought it would be hard to quit after that but it was surprisingly easy, it just felt very good to drop it. I do have some dreams where I drink. But I suppose that's due to blood and consciousness residing in the liver during sleep, and that is where the addictions like to hang out
  11. What to d(a)o in London?

    Thanks for this!
  12. What to d(a)o in London?

Yes, thanks I sent the guy a message.
  13. What to d(a)o in London?

Haha yeah thanks, saved me a lot of searching.
  14. Where to find a genuine qigong master?

Neither Lomax or Lin claim that the healings will be 100% effective or that they can work on the particular problem as desired. Still if I myself felt an urgent need for mental, emotional or physical healing I would definitely turn to either, at least as one ingredient in the healing process.. Wouldn't want to leave these stones unturned. I already have "bought" healings for my mother for example and she was quite confident that the help she received indeed made a real difference.
  15. Where to find a genuine qigong master?

Michael Lomax (Ya Mu on the forum) and some of his students are obviously doing great work, also distance sessions so you could start with that. Chunyi Lin seems legit, if you can't get a personal healing from him you could try a phone healing or an in-person session with one of Spring Forest healers.
  16. Tonic foods?

Ayurvedic medicine considers the herb Gokshura as the best kidney tonic. Otherwise the most powerful Yang (and Jing) tonic is said to be Ashwagandha. It could be a good ide to first do a good flush for maybe a week using diuretics like dandelion or nettle or whatever, there is a variety of good cleansers. I second the lukewarm water before breakfast. BTW I agree that too much cold raw foods is not good but juices like carrot etc will bring a lot of entzymes into the system and wont hurt digestion unless too cold.
  17. My first full lotus experiences

I'm not Drew but I can tell you once you get in the position it's only a matter of (lots of) time and effort to be able to sit properly for an hour or so. Two-three years ago I could hardly sit for 10 minutes like you now. Yesterday I had two sessions, 1 hour each, without a pillow on a hard surface. The latter one was of an intensity I haven't previously experienced, all I can say to describe it is that it felt like a lot of emotion energy was moving, joy and sadness at the same time. My body was moving around in different patterns with a will of its own with occasional muscle contractions and "twitches". This is normal when practicing Stillness-Movement but for me the extra full lotus seems to turbo charge everything. Also mentally chanting the Ong, Mae, Lee, Bae, Mae, Hong when strayed with random thoughts/earworms seems to work fine.
  18. Confused: health problems

    edit: tired useless post
  19. Om Mani Padme Hum as the Alternating Current secret

Yes, by the name of "Six Word Chant". I have the CD, it's an hour of Lin chanting with some lady to some programmed background. Works nicely. I like to use the chant when I have an annoying pop tune playing in my head or find it otherwise hard to sit in the stillness without distraction.
  20. Om Mani Padme Hum as the Alternating Current secret

Not unless you're selling something goodie.
  21. Om Mani Padme Hum as the Alternating Current secret

Om Mani Padme Hum is a bit like the mantra Ong Mae Lee Bae Mae Hong that Chunyi Lin chants/sells on the SFQ webpage. Wonder if there's a common root to these.
  22. My first full lotus experiences

I think you've made him very interesting to many but then the "far-out content" of your posts might make it all a bit too hard to grasp for some. I personally like to hear about Chunyi Lin, he's one of my favorites. I also like to read about your experiences though you do like to repeat yourself a lot
  23. My first full lotus experiences

I think Drew has mentioned a few times that mr. Lin has actually told him NOT to talk so much on the internet
  24. This is unfortunate, as I have flights and hotel booked and prepaid.. I was a bit too optimistic I guess. So any alternative Qi activity in London at that time? Or someone to take me to the best ale houses?
  25. My first full lotus experiences

Thanks Rainbow! Glad to bum around, this time I was not born a King but a humble Sonhoffman
