  1. Thanks, nice, poetic.

If you are very very lucky, you will have stepped into the Mother Of All Chaos. Once truth loses the unknown of the moment, it is no longer the truth. That is why it must never be spoken. If you can live with chaos, you live with the truth. No points removed for grasping at beauty of the moment. None taken away for finding that you actually don't know anything at all. Hang out there, in the unknowing, in the chaos so that true nature - Buddhist or Taoist or Hindu - can now finally locate you. You will have to turn in your personalized ID card though, because you will not represent anything more concrete than nameless, formless "being".

If this is not the Mother Of All Chaos for you, then try to find it in the very moment of other places too - or even the very next moment of unknowing right here. That is where you are authentic, realized, independent and utterly invincible. Uncomfortable sometimes perhaps, if it is the truth, but authentic.

Good luck! Nice to see you. I'm new here too.

Thankyou for the kind words  Your post is truly poetic as opposed to my drunken stupor. I was going to get up early today and erase my post

I will let it remain as a reminder to myself . I am at a moment of unknowing but it seems fine.

Chaos wrapped in serendipity, AWESOME. Do i have to go somewhere to turn in my I.D.

or can i just toss or burn it? I think the nature retreat is coming sooner this year.

CowTao :) Thanks for the song too.

  2. In regards to this Taoist,Buddhist,Hindu,Yoga,Qigong,Zhang Zhan, Zen , Dogzen, etc. "Te is not quite Qi" "Hungry Ghosts " are after my Yang.

Excuse me for borrowing from other threads. It is totally confusing.

I get the part about trees and sipping tea up on the mountain. :D

I thought I understood about martial arts :o Now I need to know if I have a Buddhist or Taoist intent? Are you serious? Tulko is the only one who can whip MMA adepts.

Whatever Tao is can't be spoken. But Buddhism can be spoken and spoken and spoken  . Havn't got a clue about the Hindu yet.

There is a choice of doing exerises(where it looks like you are standing still)

for years and hope to make some small gain. This makes sense.

OR you can just email someone and they can send you fabulous results if they know what hour you will be expecting it to arrive. I want this option.

70% of the people here are enlightened but never agree with each other on what that really means. Pee Wee,Rodney Dangerfield, and Van Halen are Taoist?

Guys have no desires for Gals. Trust me, I do not want your Jing. Do I have my own Jing? It's slang for money, right? "time, money, and energy are all the same thing"

Max Christensen and Dependant Origination create alot of Drama or Dharma and after another 12,000 views it still won't be sorted out. Or will it? Some of these threads keep me hanging on edge like a friday afternoon soap opera.

There is a surplus of shamans. That is good to know. Some people here have their own Dragons? They come in diferent colors and styles. They are calm and powerful. B)

So after a week here I am wondering what I have stepped off into. If I stick with it for 100 days I get some type of reward. :D Then I may be ready for Chen Taiji (mack daddy) but Baguazhang is way too complicated because you have to walk in a circle.

I think I have finally found the place where I fit in. Besides my BF is now the ex BF.

3 hours single :D What a crazy week.

  3. Nice to see another nature rtereat lover.I do them too.

Longest I spent was in a hut in nature 3 months. It was great and as Cow Tao says -they are addictive.I am dreaming of one right now actually..

 I was just day dreaming . Then my mind began to wander. They are addictive

in a very good way. A hut? Cool Beans :) I have a tent, sleeping bag, and a Jeep.

I have some friends camping around Ocala now. If you love nature?! Come visit here in the Smokeys :) cya around

  4. so many god's dieties, spirits and angels, etc. but none of them help real people who are suffering. Only those who have enough spiritual power to even communicate with them right?

What about those who have no one to turn to. I guess they dont want to get their hands dirty to get "beneath' them out of the quicksand.

Non. It is friday night here in Tennessee. I just had a dificult evening here. -_-

Listening to this helped me a little. Then i thought of you <_<

  5. What spiritual principles are these?

I am hardly qualified to be a guru.. just the same searcher like anyone else..

However, these spiritual principles do exist, no different from the laws of physics. Manipulating these spiritual principles is no different from manipulating the law of physics.

Fair enough. I admit i have no knowledge of Taoist principles. Also being from the appalachian region I am aware of problems with semantics.

Would you be so kind as to give an example of manipulating the law of physics?

  6. Hi moonshadow,

    Welcome! :)

    Thankyou Rainbow_Vein

I have already found my way to your personal practice page :D

    Very interesting experiences there.

I am here to find my Tao path. :DB)

  7. Hello 2netis;

I am in southern apalachia, Tennessee. Interestingly I also joined this site yesterday. Such is the way of synchronicity, perhaps? As I came to this site

primarily to seek a shaman? One I have met in person in the Big South Fork

wilderness area along the Tennessee/Kentucky border last April. He never claimed

to be a shaman per se. He did say he was a Taoist and he practiced Tai Chi.

I do not know anything about Taoist or Tai Chi.

I was camping with my Rainbow friends, Family of Living light. This guy wandered into our camp. Everyone at these gatherings goes by a nickname, so I dont know his real

name or his username here. I think he frequents this website because I overheard him

discussing it with some other campers.

After joining this site and noticing that there are 27 some odd thousand users

I feel my chances are slim to locate him. Either way it is cool, as i will learn

from this site. I have only met one Taoist but he made a lasting impression.

I do know this about the guy, he called himself Ginkgo at our camp. He was a type of fortune teller. I didn't have my fortune told but the ones who did were very impressed. He was very cheerful and laidback.

I did watch him do his Tai Chi one morning around the dawn, there were also 8

deer standing there watching until he finished.

If Ginkgo happens to read this or if anyone knows Ginkgo? It would be cool if he

contacted a Sister of the Moon.

  8. A common denominator in fights I've gotten into here is when I've taken an intellectual approach where someone else is passionate. I've coldly dismissed or argued against someone dreams. The result is ill feelings and no ones changed there positions or truly heard the other person, its just antagonism.

These days, if I see someone is passionate and I disagree with them, I'll ask questions, instead of dismissing it. Work harder at understanding first, not immediately countering. Course old habits die hard. But I've made apologies to some of the people I've had fights with. And I welcome getting into heated intellectual arguments as long as both sides are on the same semi-dispassionate page.

    Michael

    Cool Beans

  9. If I see one more interesting post on this site I swear I'm making it my homepage. The plethora of thought provoking tidbits overwhelms my wee little noggin. Why didn't I find this sooner?

The Star will be where i will begin to practice. It seems so simple.

  10. I do a nature retreat every year. Either in a forest, desert,or mountains.

Time spent on the retreat is from 3 days to 3 months.

When i was in my 20's i once went to a party that lasted about 5 years B)

    but that is off topic.

  11. lol .. you don't understand what i am saying..

i am saying there are spiritual laws governing the relationships, health, finances, popularity, etc of every person on earth..

whether you want one woman or one million women, the same spiritual principles still apply..

learn how to manipulate these spiritual laws with compassion and wisdom and your life gets a whole lot easier..

I never thought of manipulation as a form of compassion or wisdom. Maybe you mean cunning or coercion?

The same spiritual principle applies if you want one woman or a million? Which principle is this?

Are you the love guru? Are you actually trying to give non good advice?

    Seriously?

  12. Dear Non,

The arts of energetic spiritual practices can be abused to attract women. By staying yin enough, a male can use the yin energy to get closer emotionally to a female and then abusing his yang energy to sexually close her into a fuck.

You do need money to back up your conquests too. Who's gonna pay for the candelight dinners, movies and gifts?

But then what's the point of having such conquests? Your soul doesn't evolve from such animalistic pursuits. You don't get enlightened.

Rex is right. I should begin blocking you.

    This is friendly advice?

  13. So here is a problem anyone who has problems goes through...

Anytime there is someone who wants feedback by simply talking about an issue in his/her life there will always be someone who assumes that the person is doing nothing but sitting on his ass and complaining while being greedy and ego-filled/amoral.

    It always happens.

Especially with men. Anytime he goes and talks about something that's bothering him someone always says: "stop complaining and DO something about it". Haven't you ever thought the person HAS been doing something about it? It's just cliche to go around bashing people who are "being negative" while you're being negative yourself.

OK, tell the person to do something about it but don't make it seem like he's doing nothing, and getting even frustrated and negative as you're talking about my own negativity.. I can then tell you to stop complaining and take it like a man, DO something about it, etc.

You're just expressing your own ability to not handle a person talking about such issues.

What about people who make speeches, are they "merely complaining"? What about people who go to a psychologist and talk issues through are they "merely complaining sitting on their ass not doing anything?"

Sure a person might be, but what kind of message does the person get if that's all he gets from the world, that he's never able to be active...

All I know is, I do try and I do try hard enough to be frustratetd and people just tell me to deny.

This is a very interesting perspective. Probably the common responses on an internet forumn as this may have little value?(no matter how well intended)

Do you ever receive replies that do have value for you?

IMO having a discussion is active and takes guts :)

  14. Oh my!

Definitely non-dualism. Recognition of one's limited perspective at any given moment. The sense of the world and the universe flowing through you rather than being "out there". The continuous discovery of what you are made of. The repeated banging "down to earth" again when you forget or you hit an edge of yourself or someone else.

    Practices

    - KAP

    - Shaking

    - Mindfulness

    - Emptiness meditation (hanging out in the space between thoughts)

    - Being in the world

    - Random experiments upon self

    - Good food

    - Reading and research to gain useful "working knowledge" of whatever works

I can relate to most of this :) I will look into what KAP is about? The rest of it sounds right on.
