  1. Added Zazen to my Qigong

^ I restrained myself from responding to your posts quite a few times. But this time I can't resist, as you have posted the same thing various times, on various threads. Qigong is not the ultimate method of breathing. Breathing is just one of many ways--in fact, the most preliminary way--to work with qi. You have taken the chinese word "qi" way too literally. The term "qigong" is a modern one and was not even used in the past. Qi is energy, not breath. If you don't change the way you think on this point, you can spend another 50 years and still not understand Qi -- even at the most basic level. I think that truly would be a shame for someone who has invested this much time on this board and the eastern arts. I hope I'm not being rude. But I will only tell you this once.

  5. Is Valley Spirit the femine aspect & Dao the male aspect?

There was the void, the mystic female, the valley spirit, or Tao. From the void emanated pure yang qi, which is represented by a white circle. Then the white circle divides into black and white, which is yin and yang. The combination of yin and yang give birth to humans. "Tao give births to one. One give births to Two. Two gives birth to three. Three gives birth to myriad things." In cultivation, we trace it backwards. We are humans, a mix of of yin and yang. With refinement, we get rid of our yin to become pure yang. By becoming a pure yang, we can return to the void, aka Tao. Tao is beyond yin and yang. It is both something and nothing. But it is given female characteristics and compared to a mother, because what else can give birth to all things? Our lovely ladies. If anything, God was a woman.

  13. Request for Personal Practice Forum

Sorry, Aziz. I think there is a misunderstanding. I'm a nobody on this forum and cannot grant you access to nor create a personal practice log for you. I was requesting a log, as well. I think you have access as long as you post a few. Not sure.

  19. entity issue, advice needed

^ I'll message you. I think I have side-tracked this thread too much.
  20. entity issue, advice needed

Don't burden your mind with fantasies and delusions. The only way to do so is to embrace clear-thinking, simplify your daily activities and relationships, resist day-dreaming, and limit your exposure to toxic societal influences such as bad movies and books. The mind is powerful. How many times do you think a murderer has contemplated and brewed the hate that allowed him to kill innocent people? It is never only a day. What is thought? It is energy. What are ghosts and spirits? Collections of energies. What is a powerful thought? It is also a collection of energy. You make the connection.
  21. entity issue, advice needed

Hey thelerner, To me, there are two things to think about. 1. the law of attraction. like attract like. 2. Energy is energy is energy. spirits are gathering of energies. Your personal energy arrangement--the way you have cultivated your internal spirits--- will determine what entities you attract The combination of external + internal spirits determines the course of your life. To clarify, in reality many great accomplishments in history were the result of external spirits helping humans without their knowing. Spirits are around us all the time, affecting the way we think and act by entering our nervous system. The highest level qigong masters rely on spirits for prescriptions, and many famous spiritual authors had celestial guides to assist their writing. On the flip side, sometimes spirits cause more trouble than good. But to focus on these external entities--regardless of their nature--is meaningless and deconstructive, because it's your internal development that really matters. Reason: your development of your internal spirits determines which types of external spirits you attract in the first place. So the only thing you can do is work on yourself. Qigong is a good way to mobilize your internal spirits in balanced way. But virtue in general is even better. And living a natural, simple life is even better. What I'm saying is, we can spend hours debating whether the issue is an external or internal manifestation. But in all practicality, it is always both, and you can still only focus on the internal aspect. To rid of the external issue, without focusing on the internal issue, is ineffective and disastrous psychologically, because internal energetic projections are always the root cause. If you have Christian leanings, Jesus, when healing others, for example, not only healed the person, but saved his soul as well. Everyone with or without an entity must be willing to take responsibility for his/her own spiritual development. Even a saint needs to eat his spiritual meal everyday to have spiritual protection. The meal is just a matter of taking care of oneself.

I know what you mean, man. All you got to do is be like a kid and play.
