  1. To me he is certainly not a taiji master. What do you think is so great about him - in terms of taijiquan? I mean sure you wouldn't want to fight him, he strikes quickly and looks very aggressive, but seriously he looks VERY external. The way he just gives hard palm strikes to his students shows he either doesnt have any internal power or is just very irresponsible.
  2. The Microcosmic Orbit

Yes he does. However it's not a starting/basic excercise. I don't really understand why schools would teach MCO to beginners who can't even relax properly and move chi like visualising a T.V. screen (not belittling, i was also guilty of this )
  3. I dont want to say to you its this way or that way as I am not Enlightened and it would be deceitful. So far for myself in terms of meditation, I find just being with no mind for attainment, past, future, god, reality etc etc, not blocking thoughts but reaching a state where thoughts do not arise is an excellent practice. I believe wisdom will naturally arise in this way. I also practice chi kung as your energy has a very noticeable impact on your mind, health is important. I personally wouldn't say you're already there as you wouldn't need to ask any intellectual questions, you would know you are there without any doubt. Good luck with your practice
  4. IMO "believing" you are omnipotent enlighteneed etc is meaningless. You have to REALIZE it, honestly do you REALIZE you are omnipotent, perfect enlightened or is it an intelectual conclusion?
  5. Play with Fire to Invoke the Devil.

Yes I usually practice this daily, although sometimes its spontaneous stillness which is equally enjoyable. I feel it's an excellent art that touches at the heart of Taoism in that it leads you deeper into wu wei and you learn to let go more and more.
  6. Play with Fire to Invoke the Devil.

This is a problem with incompetent people teaching internal arts thinking they are just gentle external excercise. I believe zi fa gong is spontaneous movemement chi kung, if so its just as simple as slowing down the chi flow gently and storing the energy at the dan tian. As an analogy if you are driving a car quickly (fast chi flow) you dont slam the brakes the stop the car, you slow down gradually. Also if you are a beginner dont practice to vigorously as you don't have good control.
  7. Hi

Hey everyone, I've enjoyed reading the site for a little while now, as a good gathering ground of (sometimes) like-minded people. Hopefully will be able to contribute something . Best wishes, Ish
  8. Some Info on Hu Yaozhen

I believe at that time, it was the only way to get it published. Perhaps he didn't even write that and they just censored and edited the text as they wish. According to this site http://www.spiritualwarriorstoday.com/Biography/biography-216_hu-yaozhen-1879-1973 , Master Hu Yaozhen was killed by the communist regime. It's really sad for a great master to be treated in this way. @Ya Mu, do you perhaps have anymore information about Master Hu? According to some of the texts I've seen his skill really was incredible. Best, Ish
