  1. "Your meditation is getting on my nerves"

Isn't the whole point of practicing qigong to loosen the blockages? How does one if he does or does not have any blockages? What if a healthy individual actually has major blockages without knowing it and "severely damages his organs"? I'm not meditating two hours a day. I don't know where you got that from.
  2. "Your meditation is getting on my nerves"

What the Christ are you talking about?
  3. "Your meditation is getting on my nerves"

I'm not denying that some problems can arise from stuff like premature Kundalini awakenings and the like but common.. meditating on emptiness? I was listening to the audio instructions for Spring Forest qigong.... no binaurals there.
  4. "Your meditation is getting on my nerves"

Ha! I've thought of that but he would find another reason why I shouldn't be doing that. Actually his method is a mantra (we're russian) which basically translates to "God bless me" So he says to say that over and over and poof... all problems are gone.
  5. Where to find a genuine qigong master?

I'll definitely be doing that. I was also considering flying in to do the 5-day treatment. Can you tell me about the epilepsy healing? What happened there?
  6. Where to find a genuine qigong master?

Can you tell me more about this person?
  7. Headache & Tattoos

Is rinsing your mouth with scolding listerine self-mutilation? Is exercise self-mutilation (lactic acid burn)? Is having surgery self-mutilation? If getting a tattoo was not painful- would it still be self-mutilation? Technically, you're just inserting ink in the body. You're not damaging it. Not like a piercing. Where does one draw the line? Isn't buddhism and toaism about being non-judgmental. Why would the immortals judge you for inserting ink in your body? I don't think they would care.
  8. Chakras

Hey there fellow bums, After years of doing my chakra meditations incorrectly, I finally figured out that the chakras are located on the SPINE and not in the front or middle of the body (with the exception of the last 3 chakras, I believe). Anyway, I did three 45-minute chakra meditations today and the first one went great. I could feel each chakra vibrating pleasantly. The second time however (a few hours later), I could not feel my 3rd and 4th chakras at all despite spending a good 15 minutes each on each one. The first two I felt with great force. What gives? I guess this could be normal that they vary in strength and other attributes from hour-to-hour but it made me feel panicky that all of a sudden I couldn't feel my chakra. Which brings me to my next question: How do you guys "experience" your chakras? Is it a physical sensation? Is it an inner-visual phenomena? Is it sound? Is it emotion? A combination of all? How does one know that one is "aligning" or "balancing" a chakra? Is focused and physical awareness on the chakra for a period of time sufficient to help balance it or is there more involved? For now, I'm getting decent results with what I'm doing and I guess that's what matters but for the time being all I can do is put my awareness in the location of the chakra, and then a physical sensation of that awareness follows. I can't visualize a darn thing no matter how much I try and there's still no inner-light. Any tips would be much appreciated.
  9. I think loneliness is going to destroy me...

I've lived the last 2 years completely alone and I LOVE it. It hasn't been this way all my life. There were times when I used to be a social butterfly but things have changed. I feel great when I'm alone. People might say it's unhealthy. Maybe so- IF you think it's unhealthy then it is. There's nothing wrong with it. At the very least though- get yourself a girlfriend
  10. Healing the kidneys.

I'm doing part 4 of the FPCK series. It is one 10-minute long form. So x4 its around 45min total. Thanks all!

Here's the link to activate tapatalk: http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to install.
  12. Healing the kidneys.

Good news everyone! I had my scans done today and my kidney, liver and bladder are 100% healthy! I'm not experiencing anymore pain either! All I did was up my qigong frequency to 4x a day, started doing dantien breathing and drank a ton of water and cranberry juice. Booyah!!! :D :D :D
  13. Healing the kidneys.

Do you have experience with the particular DVD you linked? I don't really have the time or money to order anything at this point. Are there any free resources on how to perform Kidney Qigong? I am a novice but I learn fast. I would prefer that it be as basic as possible though...
  14. Healing the kidneys.

Already drinking tons of it. I am very keen on using herbal supplements but there the problem with kidneys is that adding supplements puts a lot of strain on it and may probably hinder it more than help it. That said, I am still taking my liv52 supplement which I've been taking for years now on top of my fish oil. If its good for the liver im sure its good for the kidneys.
  15. Healing the kidneys.

The urinary retention issue has cleared since I have stopped taking the medication. What it did was make me physically unable to empty my bladder, no matter how full it was. I had to get a catheter(sp?) a few times at the ER to empty my bladder until I figured out what was causing it. Now the main issue is the kidneys. I want to emphasize that I had perfectly healthy, normal kidneys prior to the onset of the acute discomfort. My theory is that because of the serious chronic pushing I was doing with a full bladder, the urine may have gone in the opposite direction and infected and/or damaged the kidneys. I'm trying to read as little as possible about the medical details because it's totally going to psych me out. I'll checkout the kidney qigong for sure. Thanks guys.

I was just about to post this very same thread. There are a lot of us who would love to be able to enjoy this forum on their mobile device. It's a simple "activate" procedure. No complicated forms to fill out or anything.
  17. Healing the kidneys.

I had chronic urinary retention due to a medication I was taking. It sometimes took me up to 2 hours to urinate. After all the pushing my right kidney started to hurt a bit (not much), but it felt like I had a brick in my upper back, and then the left one, same thing. I still look and feel relatively healthy, but it feels like I'm carrying around two bricks in my upper back and that can't be good.
  18. Suffering and desire

hey everyone, a good friend of mine sent me this message asking me for advice. I can't come up with what I would consider a good enough answer so I wanted to get a knowledgeable opinion on this from you guys. I really want to help my friend but I don't want to confuse him any further "I have question. Two days ago, I could not sleep so turned on the TV. The film just started, called "little buddha" I watched until 5:30am and that film made me think. Meditation to suffer from worldly desires, right? That is why I joined ZEN training several times. I could not suffer so I failed. I can not meditate like you at home, I need to go somewhere so I'll go to India or Thailand and join the meditation journey. I really need to do before moving to Okinawa. By the way, the question is if I suffered from worldly desires and help animal or people, that mean I fail? Suffering from these above means dont wish, dont desire, dont feel, and no emotional. So if I felt like help or do something for someone, also one of desire.... I think... I know I think too difficult but, cant stop thinking without answer. The film made me confuse. How do you think?"
  19. "This Shouldn't Happen Here"

How will we know who and what is good if there is no bad? You can't have one without the other just like you can't have a snake without a tail.
  20. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Perhaps a very heightened 6th sense-like sensitivity to one's own central/peripheral nervous system. If one could consciously redirect energy with breath control and have some sort of feedback mechanism (which most do not) then it would be easy to know just how to do it.
  21. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Add "lifting the sky" as well- I'd like to know if it's safe to mix with FP as an ancillary practice.
  22. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

    edit: doublepost
  23. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Does anyone have any theories for a physiological method of action for the breath control sequence? My best guess is that the different-sized inhales/exhales plays with heart-rate and oxygen consumption, but I have no idea how it would prime/redirect chi and if it did, how? If this is a closely guarded secret then I totally respect that but if it isn't it would be great if Sifu Terry could chime in on this.
  24. Depression Kills, Qigong Saves

Wow! Thanks for the fantastic reply! I will definitely begin doing this.
  25. Depression Kills, Qigong Saves

Hmmm... I don't quite understand what you're getting at. I'm currently doing Flying Phoenix qigong and have been for 5 months now. There is no visualization or directed attention in this style of qigong so I guess you may call it "just a bunch of movements" but combined with the breath control sequence, there are some very tangible results, however, it has not had any effect on my mood and depression, which is why I became interested in the cosmos qigong when I read the article.
