  1. What made YOU laugh today/tonight ?

After reading the thread on Dr Lin's Anal breathing Technique.........I'm still laughing :D :D :D Someone better delete that thread or I'll be laughing for a very, very long time. http://thetaobums.com/topic/424-anyone-actually-tried-dr-lins-anal-breathing/
  2. Anyone been to see Mother Meera?

Many years ago, I had an experience around a 'guru' (i use that word 'guru' very loosely). When it happened, I thought to myself "WTF, How did he do that ?" He replied verbally "I didn't do anything, it was YOU that did it all" And the Lesson is:- "Don't think out aloud in the presence of a 'guru', he could be listening" Blessings to you all
  3. Is love all there is?

A relevant quote... Divine Love "Divine Love, is pure, perfect and self-sufficient. Divine Love is non-dual. It is without the polarity of subject and object distinctions. In the Worlds of Existence when we say we love, there are three separate aspects. One is the subject (the one who is loving), the second is the object of our love and the third is the quality of the love being expressed by the subject to the object. Divine Love is not like that. Divine Love simply IS. It does not come or go. It does not decrease or increase. It has no season. Divine Love is unconditional and everlasting. Divine Love is the eternal nature of God and as a Spirit-Soul; it is also our nature. Divine Total Love is also the nature and a prime expression of the Logos. Ultimately, Divine Love is the irresistible force that all will surrender to. And when that occurs we become free of all veils, all separation and entering into our Spirit-Soul nature, we will find this Divine Love emanating brightly." Human Love "In the Worlds of Existence we have the spectrum of human love with its vast range of expressions in varying degrees of purity. The quality of these expressions extends from clear luminous selfless love to darkly colored selfish love. Selfless love heals and brings great peace with it. While, self-centered love inevitably harms the giver and receiver bringing suffering in its wake.
  4. Here is some more info. Maybe some truth to it......... Mr. Oscar Uzcategui, “Gnostic Ontology” (source: http://www.vopus.org/en/gnosis/alchemy/sexuality-and-masturbation-sexual-education.html) Q.: On the subject of masturbation, I have heard classes of sexual education and there we have been told that masturbation is healthy and necessary. What are the views of the Gnostics on this? A.: Well, let me tell you that ‘the road to Hell is paved with good intentions’. The asylums are filled with masturbators who damaged their nervous systems abusing of sexuality, through masturbation. Masturbation produces, in the long run, early ejaculation in men, because they accustomed their sexual system to react to mental images that they themselves produced and when they have to deal with a normal sexual relationship, they can barely maintain the erection, because their sphincters do not resist the sexual contact; and this produces bitterness in the marriage, dissatisfaction and infidelities. In many cases the man who got used to masturbation later becomes impotent, because he destroys some nervous threads of his brain and is unable to consummate a normal sexual relationship. So you see how “beneficial” masturbation is. I must also add that masturbation causes psychological damage in young boys and girls, as well as personality disorders, lack of will power, shyness, melancholy and this is why, at times, masturbation has been named a solitary vice. In his work, the father of contemporary Gnostic anthropology Samael Aun Weor says the following on this subject: …The energetic cellar of the sexual center is also plundered by the various psychological aggregates. From an early age, the child begins with the vice of masturbation, thus losing fundamental elements for his development, such as lecithin, cholesterin and phosphates. Here begins the via crucis (road of the cross) of the human being. The profound ignorance in which the humanity is living makes this centre the most prejudiced one of all…
  5. Well said Cat and 3bob. You are both correct in different ways. Might I add that one must be sure to know what "truth" is and define it properly. For example, there are 'relative truths' such as the ones stated in the bible. Further investigation of these will eventually lead one to 'absolute truth' through direct experience. This 'absolute truth' would be difficult to put into words. Another example of this would be our own existence in the physical world. We have a physical body. But this is just the relative truth. Further investigation will lead us closer to absolute truth, ie. the make-up and cause of our existence. The bible is just a crude reflection of the absolute. I hope this makes sense. "Know the absolute truth and the absolute truth will set you free" blessings to all you posters
  6. A lot of teachings seem to appear mixed, manipulated, obscure and contradictory. I think it is set up that way for some reason. Perhaps when someone reaches a certain stage of spiritual maturity, the teachings become a little clearer and sort themselves out to some degree. And so it goes on, the more experiences you come by, the more developed you become, the more your power of discernment strengthens and the clearer the teachings appear. There's the old saying, to hand over advanced teachings to a beginner, would be like handing a stick of dynamite to a baby. Luckily, a lot of what occurs, happens under the supervision of the holy spirit, whether you're aware of it or not. Lots blessings to you
  7. I'm only guessing, but people who do colon irrigations etc, say that it cures them of certain diseases. Blockages cleared perhaps ? This is not my area of expertese ! Do we have any ANAL specialists on the tao BUMS that care to shed light on the subject ????
  8. Opinion on "Mind-Altering Substances"?

Thankyou for the helpful info Mr Biri, I would love to read the book you mentioned. I will add it to my increadibly long list of books to read but I may need two life times to get through them all Blessings to you
  9. [extremely off-topic] Actually, this thread reminded me of Grudjieff's teachings on the proper way to defecate. From memeory, he talks about how western civilization's invention of the toilet has 'dulled' the consciousness of the people. It's made them 'lazy', 'asleep'. The correct way to defecate is to semi-squat, put hands on knees and to put some 'effort in' when going to the toilet. I actually tried this on a number of occasions (un-voluntarily) and found it to be beneficial with respect to the bowel and for digestion in general. Anyone have a clue as to how/why this works ? [/extremely off-topic]
  10. A friend of mine would always say "In order to get energy, you have to give energy" This applies to everything. At work, at home, in the bedroom, with friends, family, workmates. Very effective in western culture. Work your butt off. Give, give, give. You will become super-charged. Bursting full of energy. The result is that as soon as you close your eyes, your consciousness automatically shifts. Not one second of meditation is necessary. "Meditation alone is like spiritual wanking, its the work you do out in the world that counts, the service you give to your fellow human beings. This is the most important"
  11. ROFL ! [edit] Sorry, after reading this thread I've been Laughing my butt off all afternoon.
  12. Opinion on "Mind-Altering Substances"?

Lovely posts from everyone (especially Gigi's). I just remembered an example on protecting oneself: (not sure if its a good one though) Lets say you are an average, heterosexual man in normal waking life and you decide to go for a walk. You approach a crowd of people. You see a hot babe with nice cleavage. A sensual thought comes to your mind. Bang ! Your hooked ! Luckily, your physical body anchors you to your location on the sidewalk and prevents you from reaching across and grabbing those female mammary glands :-) Now, you go into the astral, same deal. Because you have some training, you avoid desire driven activities and refrain from lusty thoughts and don't focus on the 'females'. So you go ahead and walk into a crowd of entities. Bang ! Now you've got 50 'females' instantly attacking your manhood and wanting to suck you energetically dry. Yikes ! So what would be a good form of protection ? I would guess a good one is old age. But this isn't enough. People/entities still like taking advantage of the elderly. You will still get attacked. What would be a good symbol ? Have a cross hanging around your neck and dress like a priest or a nun? This is a better one as entities will be less likely to attack that symbol. There are all sorts of symbols you can use. The easiest ones are the ones you can just hang around your neck/body in waking life. The best ones are the ones you can create in the spirit world such as the six pointed Star of David. But this takes an enormous amount of concentration. Witchcraft uses the pentagram drawn on the floor together with a strong intent. Some Christians cover themselves in the blood of Jesus Christ (I find this to be the most powerful). I'm guessing that using drugs makes it even harder and almost impossible to protect yourself. One must maintain absolute perfect control of thier desires and thoughts. Imagine walking into a bar full of angry bikies. If they even smell any vulnerability they will eat you for breakfast. As above, so below, as below etc... Why would anyone even bother hanging around the astral anyway ? Probably for healing others, service to your fellow humans beings. Anyone got any more info on protection methods ? Blessings to everyone.
  13. Opinion on "Mind-Altering Substances"?

****WARNING...DANGER....WARNING...DANGER**** The Number One really serious downside to taking drugs, that a lot of people tend to overlook, is that there is a very high chance of inadvertently attracting entities that will feed off the drug experience. An example would be that if you smoke marijuana, this will attract spirits on the other side with a predisposition to the effects of marijuana and will feed off your experience. You must protect yourself ! Once you open those subconscious gates without protection, elementals will just go straight in at the speed of light and attach to you. I'll say it again, elementals will go straight in and attach to you !!! whether they are drugy types or other negative types. The Law of attraction works a lot faster in the spirit world !!! Safety should be everyone's number one priority...with or without drugs. Protect yourself. Protect yourself. Protect yourself. I've heard too many people say something similar to...."Hey dude, I'm going to meditate and get enlightened" like its some sort of new in-fashion trendy thing to do. A few months down the track its "Dude, something went wrong, help me, I think I f*#ked up really bad". Personally, I wouldn't even recommend anyone meditate let alone take drugs. "Meditation alone is like spiritual wanking, its the work you do out in the real world that matters, the service you give to your fellow human beings. This is the most important" Sorry if I sound alarmist. Blessings of protection to all.
  14. Bax44 wrote: Dark night of the soul? Ive seen this referenced in this thread a couple times. can anyone fill me in on what that means> doesnt sound good lol. I found that the best cure for depression/bipolar is to stop meditation and start giving service to your fellow human beings. That service must be directed by the spirit. Saying to yourself "I'm going to help a charity" and then finding the nearest charity and helping them out doesn't necessarily work. Here is one of the more detailed views on the Dark night...... 15. Hi there Mr Zed, Nice to have your post. I was out in the sun today and I am listening to the birds too at this very moment . I also have a habit of questioning everything that is written, regardless of which religion/teaching it is. The eternal damnation thing is a nice little riddle and one of extreme importance (because it has rather long lasting, dire consequences) that needs to be understood and if it can't be understood, well so be it. But I ask on here to see if anyone had a little insight into why someone would even write such a thing ??? It seems rather odd to me too that god would send someone to be eternally damned for a slip of the tongue/mind (so-to-speak). Blessings from the karmic-scale-of-good-posts
  16. What made YOU laugh today/tonight ?

Here is an old 'dad' joke.....makes me laugh every time I read it. Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. . . . . This made him a super-calloused-fragile-mystic-hexed-by-halitosis. lol, sorry mr Gandhi
  17. Salvation - Guaranteed or Not ?
