  1. Why I don't discuss religion

Obligatory Krishnamurti Quote....... "You may remember the story of how the devil and a friend of his were walking down the street, when they saw ahead of them a man stoop down and pick up something from the ground, look at it, and put it away in his pocket. The friend said to the devil, 'What did that man pick up?' 'He picked up a piece of the truth,' said the devil. 'That is a very bad business for you, then,' said his friend. 'Oh, not at all,' the devil replied, 'I am going to help him organize it.' I maintain that truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. That is my point of view, and I adhere to that absolutely and unconditionally. Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized; nor should any organization be formed to lead or coerce people along a particular path." "All authority of any kind, especially in the field of thought and understanding, is the most destructive, evil thing. Leaders destroy the followers and followers destroy the leaders. You have to be your own teacher and your own disciple. You have to question everything that man has accepted as valuable, as necessary." This includes inward authority: "Having realized that we can depend on no outside authority...there is the immensely greater difficulty of rejecting our own inward authority, the authority of our own particular little experiences and accumulated opinions, knowledge, ideas and ideals." Jiddu Krishnamurti [1] Blessings of finding the 'truth' to you !
  2. 4. Debunking a Creator

If i was to have a go at debunking your statement, I'd simply say. *Its wrong*. Now you try and debunk my statement. Regardless of what you say, I'll always have a counter-statement. and the thread will go on forever since you cant really prove anything with just words posted on a thread. Sorry, couldn't resist. Blessings of love and understanding.
  5. What made YOU laugh today/tonight ?

    SEAMAN RETENTION !!!
  6. Debunking a Creator

I think this sounds better as far as over-the-top generalizations go: Atheist: overconfident Agnostic: humble Blind Believer: pompous, controlling, self-righteous, murderous, small-minded, homophobic, judgmental, earth-destroying, overconfident, etc. Firm Believer - that reached understanding through direct experiences which will lead him/her to absolute truth: slightly crazy but happy and content. Blessings, love and hugs to the Tao Bums
  7. Since I can't prove to anyone that there is or isn't a sovereign God, I will shut up. but I will say....... Blessings of finding the Absolute Truth to everyone in this forum !!
  8. Christian Mysticism

Question: Do you think Jesus was :- (i) merely acting on impulses given to him by the Father or (ii) he was fully, consciously aware of the father's will but the Father's will was slightly different to his own will and so, he was acting on his Father's will after the fact or (iii) his will and the Father's will were the same thing so his actions were those of the Father or (iv) a mixture of some or all of the above or (v) something else is going on ? Aligning human will to Divine will........It's Tricky ! Blessings for your will to match the Father's will
  9. Besides the bible, Nostradamus was one of the others to mention the Antichrist that will lead to Armageddon. Nostradamus gives anagrams for the names of the three Antichrists: The Nostradamus quatrain above describes a king of the Mongols which may be a reference to the final antichrist of which Nostradamus named three of them. They are: "Napaulon Roy" (i.e., Napoleon), "Hister" (i.e., Hitler), and the final one Nostradamus named is "Mabus." (source: http://www.near-death.com/experiences/reincarnation10.html) Anyone on the taobums know a guy called Mabus ??? Edgar Cayce had a bit to say on the second coming of Christ and World War III: (source: http://www.near-death.com/experiences/cayce11.html) For those interested, here is more info on Mr. Antichrist.: (source: http://www.thepopeinred.com/antichrist.htm) Bless you all with salvation at the time of judgement !
  10. Hi Mr Biri ! Thank you for your reply. My point was mainly from astral influence. Like the planets affect us, we also affect the earth. So we are more likely to cause the end of the world. God may be just an observer. Anyway, its good to see you're helping out ! Sorry if I added a negative. I wasn't using the correct words Blessings to power to heal the earth to you !!!!
  11. I agree with you Mr Biri but I think of it in a slightly different way. Humanity is not just affecting the earth from a physical action. All humanity is connected to the earth on some level of consciousness. Just as we humans are all connected to each other on some level. If humanity gets stressed or operates contrary to the will of god, the earth also suffers as a consequence. The effects are not immediately obvious and the causal link remains relatively hidden. Luckily, there are a few people here on earth (i would estimate 'a handful') with the capacity to apply corrective measures to the earth and lessen the impact. I call them 7th degree initiates? "The earth will always be protected because it is a place in which humans can come down and develop themselves" - source suppressed The majority of humanity, however, may not be protected to the same degree. Blessings of earth healing

  15. The Path of the Christian Gnostics

Interesting stuff this. A particular christian friend of mine keeps telling me that people need to believe and have faith first, then the direct experiences come later. In my case, I got the experiences first and its taking me forever to come up with the faith. But do I really need faith having known what I know directly ? My answer is yes. You need faith right till the end. This is in-line with what Rudolf Steiner mentioned. That all steps on the path can happen completely out-of-order e.g. quite often, you can get enlightened first and then take other steps on the path later :-) It also seems to depend on your soul's level of development from previous experiences. But I know little of this. Blessings on the path for you
  16. Anyone have $995,000 I can borrow?

Well, last night, by some strange miracle, I got an sms phone message saying I had won 990,000 British pounds. But to collect the money I had to send my personal and bank details to a suspect looking email address. Those cave-cathedrals look very beautiful !!! Temptation at its worst Blessings of wealth to you
  17. I did some digging on the internet......and found an interesting point. The sin against the Holy Spirit cannot be committed ignorantly. [ref] Can someone please explain the reference Blessings of teachings to you
  18. The Path of the Christian Gnostics

That sexual transmutation stuff sounds a lot like its for those who want to withdraw from society and perhaps sit in an isolated temple for the next few years of their life. The best way I found to do it in western society is just by giving service to your fellow human beings. The spirit removes the sexual desire when it deems it necessary, i.e., that you are ready for the next phase of development. It could take decades of service, but when it happens, no meditation is necessary. Just close your eyes and off you go. my 3 cents. Lots of love to you dear anti-gnostics
  19. Everyone has the power to avert disasters ! Especially the people here on the Tao Bums ! The majority of people don't realize how much power they can wield. But if they did, there is a good chance that the world would have been destroyed already (yikes !). blessings of lovely lessons to you
