  1. Karezza & taoist sexual practice

53 views and no reply? Okay, perhaps I was jumping the gun a tad. I happened upon a page which I found very informative: http://www.reuniting.info/wisdom/taoism_ch...e_sexology_wile This lead to another interesting page, as these things do: http://www.luckymojo.com/tktechniques.html Both share similarities with tantric consort practice, at least on some levels, hence my interest in what the taoist practitioners here think about it. I hope I've not hit a taboo subject. Apologies if I have. Namaste
  2. Buddhism and the Three Poisons

Hi Blasto, Good question and worth a look at. My take is as follows: Trying to institutionalize virtue or 'transform' the poisons by some esoteric act of will is basically missing the point of Buddha's discovery. It won't work at a political, rational level (except perhaps superficially) as the causes for the poisons remain unseen. The underlying process must be known and released, then the poisons subside of themselves into the clarity from which they arose. Namaste
  3. Intro.Hello

Hi cat, Thanks for the welcome. I practice very basic meditation for samatha but my tantra is of the highest yoga kind, so it uses generation and completion stages, the usual stuff.
  4. Why e-sangha is starting to get on my nerves

It's okay if you require certain basic facts about Buddhism but it doesn't do to express an 'opinion' or stray into any territory they consider off limits. You'll get stamped on pretty quickly. This sort of fundamentalist mindset is not conducive to the genuine exchange of personal information between practitioners, as experience tends to never quite 100% match what is written in the texts. Best to pm members, or meet them on other boards to get any experiential information.
