  1. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Thank you for all your help people. I ordered 2nd DVD set. And thank you @BigSkyDiamond for the guidelines/routine explanation. So I have a question regarding the 2nd dvd and the guidelines, it has a movement/meditation just for sleep. I do struggle with sleep, for those of you who have done this movement, how long before bed is it reccomended to do? Like does it have to be right before bed, or 1-3 hours? And regarding the gudelines where it says to stick to 1 seated and 1 standing movement, I'm assuming you can do multiple sets of the same movement right? Because 1 movement is about 5 min, so I'm assuming you can do 4-6 sets so you get a 30m practice out of it?

Yes most defiantly. I didn't even know there were seated exercises! But I only got the first DVD, which is all standing meditation I believe. I see the 2nd DVD has seated. Can I jump to that one then? For the record, this is my first week with qi gong ever in my life so I'm 100% a noob.

Thank you. And just to clarify, what about regular normal meditation? Would I still have to space that out a few hours after doing FPCK? And 1 more question if you don't mind plz: Will I still get benefits out of the practice(generating and circulating qi) if I do nothing else than the 1st move? The first move is just a static hold of monk gazing at the moon. The issue for me, is at the moment I am rehabbing my lower back. Not so much an injury, but I had surgery last year and was inactive for a very long time. The result is, my glutes/hips/core don't fire when they need to so my lower back takes the brunt of the load. It's not so much an injury as a neuromuscular issue that needs to be retrained which I am doing. So the issue is, on the 2nd movement of bending the bows, staying in that horse stance causes a lot of discomfort and some pain to my lower back, again because probably my glutes and hips aren't firing correctly so my lower back is taking the brunt of the load. I have 3-5 weeks left of physical therapy, so till then I will only be doing the 1st move which is monk gazing at moon, will I still experience some benefits from this move only ?

Hey folks, I'm on day 2 of the practice. So first question I have is, can I do void meditation practice while I practice FP? I know they say don't mix multiple systems together, I am not sure its even considered a system, but the only other thing I do is void meditation. Is it ok to do this with FP system, and if so how long should it be spaced apart from each other? EDIT: Also regarding breathing, there is a guided breathing at the start of the exercise/movement. But afterwards, do you breathe normally(nose only) during the performing sets of the movement?

Hello all ! Wonderful to be here! I live in SoCal so I may in time see if I can find other FP practioners if I feel like I need in person guidance. But besides that, thank you for having me!
