  1. I am extremely curious about this website in general. I originally found it when researching Damo Mitchell, as they have an article scathingly criticizing him and Adam Mizner. The whole thing reads a bit cult-like, but I've looked around and seen some of the founders' comments on this forum; they seem to believe what they're saying and have some clear understanding of esoteric practices. I'm generally skeptical of any claims of "true" spiritual knowledge, especially if said person is also claiming they're the only "real" master. I could buy the idea that there's some shared layer of reality that nobody is able to reach that these practices can get you to, but the site's owners provide no proof, evidence, or credentials to suggest they should be trusted. I want to believe, but I also don't want to spend a bunch of money on their very expensive course without any evidence to suggest it works. All that is to say, has anyone tried it? What was it like?

This is a practical answer, and I very much appreciate both of you taking the time to come out and provide info in a thread full of people throwing shit at you (including me).
  3. Has anyone tried the course on ancientmasters.org?

Thank you! This is exactly what I was hoping to get from this thread. I may follow up with you in a few months. Seems to line up with the vibe I get from them.

You seem to be a highly skeptical person to spend such a large portion of your time debunking fake masters and gurus. You must have realized by now that if you present yourself as having knowledge that invalidates more or less all publicly known spiritual systems, people are going to be skeptical back at you. I'm still interested in learning from you at some point because you present things differently than anywhere else I've seen, and that's interesting to me. You can't honestly expect anyone who's spent any meaningful amount of time in spaces like this one to offer any more interest than that because again, you present yourself in a way that could just as easily be a delusional narcissist with a God complex (not saying you are, just pointing it out). There are a thousand cult leaders for every real spiritual teacher.

I've self-studied most of what they're offering already and come to the conclusion that what they're saying seems to be mistaking the forest for the trees, now that you mention it. The only thing I don't have that could possibly change things is an awakened third eye by their definition. It is worth noting, though, that it is quite possible to develop all kinds of spiritual powers without ever realizing you're stuck. I have to imagine that leads to the type of massively inflated ego we see from those guys on this forum and their website. Yeah, this has popped up when thinking about it, but you put it really well. This is definitely in the category of things that would only really work if you ardently believed in it working and drank the kool aid. I'm not looking to join a cult and would need to keep a layer of insulation, so maybe it was a failed premise from the get-go. Not to mention the money, which could probably be better spent on Rudi's course or a retreat in a system I know I already get a lot out of. This really strikes home. I'm currently in a long and stressful job interview process to try to escape my shitty and overbearing job. Part of me wonders how much of this crazed research into these guys has been brought on by that. Or maybe it's just the intoxicating notion of powers. I really appreciate this insight all around. I think this entire thread and research process has revealed a lot about where things are at in my life to me, and that's enough value on its own. The ego tends to really pop out for me when engaging directly with strangers on the internet, for whatever reason. I have a friend who's more than willing to teach me a lot of what these guys talk about, and I have verified in the past that he generally knows what he's doing. It's become clear to me that I still need to define what I actually want, spiritually. That said, documenting this program is still of interest. It's clear to me that now is not the time, though, for a variety of reasons. Heck, I probably have enough information to make a moderately interesting YouTube video already. Thank you for the detailed reflections.

Damn, rereading this whole thread it's really clear how far up my own ass my head is lately. This upcoming Vipassana retreat is gonna be good for me.

I suppose I'm just seeking novelty beyond anything else at this point. I'm looking to experience (spiritually) what's available, and this pushes the boundaries of anything I've heard of. I know it's likely nonsense. I'm just curious, like I said. People will say you should just pick a path and stick to it, and they're right. I fully recognize that this is not how spirituality generally works. I have practices that I already do that work well for me. What I'm doing here is a deliberate exercise in foolishness. If it's real, I get to learn something useful and reassess. If it's fake (likely), I have an awesome story that nobody else has ever documented.

On further reading and contemplation, I don't have any real reason to believe these guys are legit. It just seems kind of insane to me to fabricate an elaborate life story and entire library of magic theory articles with matching personae on this forum all to run an expensive online magic school with nonexistent to bad PR strategy while visciously insulting anyone who says anything that contradicts their worldview. If it's a deliberate scam, it's the least effective one I've ever seen. It's either pure delusion or one in a billion hidden knowledge with no in-between. The fact that they seem to be purely interested in powers is also a huge red flag to me. At best, it's a material world that we have no means of perceiving that they can supposedly experience through their system. All that being said, I'm quite curious to try it for the sake of trying it and being able to report back on what exactly learning from them is like. It would make for good content for others if nothing else and could serve as a warning if it's nonsense. At the same time, that's a lot of money for possibly no gain.

Wow, pretty damning of him to not even slightly deny that he's the same dude. Do you have links to the original post(s) where he makes these claims, though?
  10. Has anyone tried the course on ancientmasters.org?

They said meditation retreat, not meditation in general. Psychedelics have their place. They can be incredibly useful if taken mindfully, especially with the guidance of someone who knows what they're doing. Intense retreats are not too different. Anyone that's predisposed to psychosis shouldn't do either of them. Anyone who's interested in spiritual growth/exploration/healing can derive benefit from either of them. These huge sweeping "all psychoactive substances are bad" statements are a product of US war on drugs propaganda. All that being said, they're still not compatible with every practice, which is why it's important to ask your teacher.

While similar in level of confidence and way of speaking, I don't think this dude is affiliated with the site I linked? He stopped posting years before either of the guys who run the site showed up here and talks about much more unhinged stuff than they ever do. Funny thread, through.

Let's say hypothetically you're doing a type of therapy that involves entering into intense altered states of consciousness through whatever means, then talking it out. Could be breathwork, guided meditation, EMDR, entheogens, or whatever else. I'm no expert, but my understanding is that neigong and similar practices involve directly tinkering with your body and mind in their function and operation. Stuff like that will always run the risk of causing serious physical and mental health complications. Adding in a state of relative loss of control compounds that potential for harm. I'm sure it can also impact qi development depending on who you ask. Whether being in a therapeutic setting matters (or whether these things matter at all in general) is up to the teacher.

I'm very hesitant to share specific details even on here despite knowing it's relatively hard to get in trouble for this sort of thing online. If it was just me I'd say what it is, but this is someone else's livelihood, so I'll leave it vague. Suffice it to say it involves chemicals that are not psychiatric medication. I'm of the opinion that it's a completely different beast in therapy and likely won't cause serious issues in most cases, but I'm more inclined to listen to the one teaching the program.

I was able to ask Neirong a few questions. It really does just seem like an esoteric school of unknown but possibly good validity. Lots of "trust me bro" type statements, which I guess could make sense when you're dealing with stuff that's fully unverifiable from the outside. I'm going to hold off on trying it as I'm currently doing a type of therapy that's likely incompatible with their stuff, but it does seem possibly worth checking out in the future. I'll likely check out the course on authenticneigong.com for now based on the level of praise it receives on this forum. I did some digging on old posts from them and seems like this is just a name for whatever type of energy/visualization technique it teaches.

Could you point me to where the link is? Their website says you have to pay to get onto the server. Got a link to them saying this? I get that people in this thread have made it clear they're not interested in listening. I'm still open to a conversation of some kind.

Thanks everyone for the information and insight. I suppose where I'm at is that they make some fairly extraordinary claims about the nature of spiritual progression and consciousness that, if true, would more or less invalidate almost all other practices. The driving factor here is how intense and specific the things they say are, and how absolute their confidence in them seems to be. If they're correct, it seems like a waste of time to pursue anything else. I feel like it's highly unlikely this is the case. Much of it is therefore motivated by FOMO for me, but I am also definitely looking for a practice that deliberately cultivates my body and mind. Maybe the answer is to just take a good neigong course with a reputable teacher and call it a day, then come back to this later if I so desire. With all that being said, I would love to speak to @Neirong to learn more.
  17. First time introduction post

Hello everyone! I'm relatively new to this world of practices, having done health-oriented Qigong for about a year, vipassana meditation for ~4 years, and a smattering of other practices including the Gateway Process, chaos magick, and whatever Jed McKenna's system is called. Here to learn!
