of course, i dont choose when I connect to the true dao. its my understanding this was the case for the immortals. You must understand, and please read above my response to another member, the experience is so intense... it would kind of be strange to have that just on tap, anytime. My answer to the other member will clarify a lot for you I think. But conditions summary: intense love, intense intense energetic speed/vibration... I believe shen gets activated intensely as my posture becomes erect and my head knocked back often (as if being abducted by aliens). This is often accompanied by something Id call a 'silent roar' where i shout but its just energetic declaration rather than words... all this happens without planning, just as a natural byproduct of intensity. Sincerity to the dao, yes, but the dao is everything, so sincerity to everything. Really to abandon oneself. In plain english, to drop all of one's bullshit (its hard of course for us as humans to admit we're flawed, have made mistakes, have built up ego armor). The dao is everything. You can call it God. The universe. It permeates all of existence, gives it life, it is the reason a coherent reality is even possible. Funny that people assume reality should be as it is... why doesnt the sky turn black and white randomly? Why doesnt the floor fall beneath us? Why dont random sounds appear constantly? The dao permeates every instance of reality, every pixel that constitutes our view, unifying them so that everything flows with causality. Please do read my description to the other member though. small edit: I wouldnt say connection is 'accidental'. It would be like when youre fishing and get a bite, calling that accidental, or flying a kite and when the wind picks up calling that accidental. Im just existing in a vicinity where the occurrence has the possibility of happening, and sometimes Ive been fortunate enough for it to come to pass. He is no great master. It is obvious when watching his videos on taiji and bagua. His movements do not display true body suspension from a developed dantian network. I believe he possesses middling skill that impresses people with very little skill and that's the beginning and the end of it. I watched a video on bagua he did and he was spouting such nonsense about directing/splitting qi between limbs consciously. Im sorry, thats not how it works at all. Bagua is driven by the dantian network, spinning physically is the direct result of dantian spin, momentum, weight. Did he say this once? No. He doesn't know very much and from the stories Ive seen in here, he's well aware of that and just bans people who threaten his little world.

I will share what I experienced. After I had these experiences I confirmed they were very similar to anecdotes from daoist texts, but the experience in itself... here we go These experiences happen during neigong. I'm standing, and im abandoning form, abandoning myself. I focus on pure love, seflessness, and i consciously recruit my heart (i happen to be a loving person, sensitive, etc..) and I use all the love I can muster to send to everyone in the world. During this the energy is circulating rapidly, it becomes overwhelming and then I seem to cross into some state of higher awareness. In my mind's eye I saw this: a sky of infinite fire, like orange clouds stretched out forever. This is pure yang. Directly underneath it was a pure and clear sky. It carried the feeling of infinite calm. The calm balanced the fire perfectly. The feeling was beyond overwhelming. The power is like nothing else. It cannot even be processed. When I felt this, my ego dissolved instantly. Instantly. I knew I was nothing, I knew this thing could crush me (and everyone) instantly, effortlessly, it was beyond scary. I fell to my knees and starting crying profusely. I was alone in my place but I kept saying out loud "wtf was that. wtf was that." I felt unworthy of touching this thing. I felt sad it chose me to touch it because I didnt deserve to feel something so great when I am nothing. Im trying my best to develop a methodology for more consistent contact, but maybe the dao chooses more than I do, who can say. That being said, just for a 'lower level' connection, I can fully recommend the following: 1. Keep your heart open. It doesnt matter who hurt you, how much pain you have, what happened. Focusing on pain, justifying it, will only create more pain. 2. Reality is shared space, our consciousness overlaps, and what you radiate defines your reality. Radiate goodness, love, protection, and your world will be filled with these things. Love = connection, energetically speaking. More love, more connection to the dao. 3. Abandon forms, abandon strict methods. The dao is far too immense to be understood or managed or anything through strict belief. It flows, is infinitely perfect, and so to identity with it you must abandon yourself, your sense of self, and just surrender to it. This is very important I feel.

During Neigong focusing on the openness and recepitivty of yin along with the outward presence of yang that definitely can enhance practice. I don't consciously focus on this right now, but have this past year. The dao is not going to respond to mechanical processes or anything contrived like that. The connection is so pure and rare it can't be achieved with simple inputs or formulas (believe me, I wish it could). This is why Ive only connected 4 or 5 times. I cant for the life of me find a repeatable process. It doesnt work like that at all and it makes sense, right? The infinite flowing dynamic underlying the universe requires the deepest sincerity and as soon as we add even the slightest contrivance it escapes us. Also, just the flowing, spiraling nature of taiji really helps with natural movement. I close my eyes to feel as close as I can feel to the dao--I don't connect to the true source, which is rare, but I connect to something more superficial that still feels powerful. I flow with it like something in the wind and taiji movements are really nice for this.

Hello, I practice neigong intensively (6-8 hours daily). I see qi in the air, everywhere. This year during practice I connected to the Dao maybe 4 or 5 times. Each time was quite crazy. I was hoping we could have a discussion and people could ask questions. Also I really love taiji and bagua, in case anyone wants to discuss them. Thank you.
