  5. when will human madness end?

unborn, unformed, uncreated, no beginning and no end, no time, no space, no form. Always was and always will be. that is the truth of who we are.
  6. when will human madness end?

see that's the thing. there is a core within us that can not be destroyed. It remains pristine. no matter what. "nothing can withstand the light of pure consciousness."
  7. Eckhart Tolle explains the difference as: zoning out (falling asleep, drinking alcohol, watching TV) is "falling below thinking"; while alert awareness, alert presence is "rising above thinking." falling below thought https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/9531996-so-does-tv-watching-create-inner-space-does-it-cause#:~:text=So when watching television%2C the,has a strong addictive quality.
  8. what about "omnipresent" as in being everywhere
  9. when will human madness end?

One of the most powerful transformative practices i ever came across was a single line to that effect. That by simply broadcasting qualities like joy and compassion and kindness, as I go about my day doing the things that i love (as I work in the garden for instance) then the kindness and the intelligence and the benevolence of the universe delivers that to people, places, situations where it is most needed and where it has the most benefit. In this way, one person really can and does make a difference in the world. This helps prevent a sense of overwhelm and what some people describe as feeling helpless to effect change.

i love that cartoon !!!! and that saying, "whoever points a finger, there are three more fingers pointing back at them"
  11. when will human madness end?

"A common sign of compassion is not emotional volatility at all, but rather calm and stability."
  12. when will human madness end?

    bingo. yes.
  13. "breathing into the body" . . . (?)

if you are talking about directing the flow of chi within the body, i have been cautioned (by several teachers) not to do this as it can result in chi deviation, imbalance, and subsequent problems. Rather, trust the innate intelligence of the chi to go where it is needed, and by whatever route is needed. in other words, the chi is smarter than my limited understanding. This resonates for me. if you are talking about using the whole body to breathe in and breathe out, yes that can be done, but i was given the caution (by more than one teacher) to not do this for very long as it can overload the system with unpleasant results.

on the other hand, there is this. " Krishnamurti answered: "How can you expect me to be concerned with what should be done or how it should be done? If you have once lived on a mountain top, you cannot return to the plains. You can only try to make other people feel the purity of the air and enjoy the infinite prospect, and become one with the beauty of life there."
  15. when will human madness end?

my view is that it is no measure of health to (a) see society as sick. Or (b) rail against well adjusted people.
  16. when will human madness end?

it is actually saying the same thing as the post below. We are saying the same thing. you see the "Earth" evolving, i see the "person's inner state" evolving. and the result is the same. no more madness within our sphere. .
  17. when will human madness end?

the world with its cast of characters continues to exist. but we no longer see it as "madness." "madness" and "sick society" are personal interpretations made by an individual. When the individual no longer sees through that lens, no longer tells that story, then "madness" dissolves, and is no longer how the world is seen. .
  18. when will human madness end?

they are "wise sayings" for a reason. our point of power (to dissolve the "madness") is when we actually put it into practice in our own individual daily life and daily practice. that's the difference between "knowledge" and acting on knowledge.
  19. How do you identify it is the Dao, and what was the experience like? Thank you. Looking forward to hearing more.
  20. Very unpopular opinions

if i said "no idea what Joy Division is" would that be an unpopular opinion?
  21. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Thank you Sifu Terry. That confirms what i read in an earlier post and now I have clarity. This helps.
  22. when will human madness end?

my view (and my experience) is that when we change ourselves, then our view of the world changes. we change the world when we change ourselves.
  23. God interacting with humans.

yes i agree, that makes a good point. and the structure of a defined path (such as religion) offers a built in safety net in terms of ethical behavior (the do's and the don'ts, the commandments, the precepts). These (when they are used, when they are implemented) help identify and avoid the pitfalls which may not be apparent to someone just "on their own doing whatever."
  24. What are you listening to?

i've only listened to the first song so far, it is beautiful. i look forward to hearing the rest. Volume is fine when i play it, no adjustment needed. i like the different art for each song also. very nice. Adding it to my play list. Now I've listened to the first four songs. So far my favorite tracks are #1 and #4. What a great collection this is. I upvoted on you tube.
