  1. Alright, so nothing is hidden to God anyway, so Id like to do a little purging. As my mother used to say, if something is bothering you and you keep it for yourself, the troll grows and grows. Once you let it out, it goes poof. The sun turns the trolls to stone. Further more, I belive autenthicity is healing to all. Hope youll join me. The only thing ill keep for my self, is things that could be hurtfull to groups of people or people who might be reading this. Hope you will join me in this exercise: - today i took morphin - I dont like my family - I wont clean untill it is REALLY neccessery - average screen time last 7 days: 8 hours - I never go to sleep without having a podcast/audiobook/music or likewise in the background, to avoid the stillness - I dont pay bills. (1) Interrest is theft, (2) im broke, (3), I belive that they will just disapear

«One must be very vigilant to remember that he (initiated Vaishnava) is part and parcel of the trancendental body of Krsna, and that it is his duty as as part and parcel to give service to the whole, or Krishna. If we do not render service to Krsna then again we fall down» Nectar of devotion

This is from my journal (Mathias the scientiest) here on daobums. Id like to share it hear as well: Reflections 29.12-04.01: All in all I think im happy with this period. The experiments where as follows: - Carry a bag with a notebook, nectar of devotion, my chating beeds and a water bottle everywhere - Sauna three times minimum On the sauna part, I did as intented, on the first one, mostly. Night to saturday I did not sleep at all. The reason? Amphetamines and screentime. I am tempted to write this is stupid doing, but I wont do that. Reason being, this is far from the first time it happens, and rather than judge myself, id like to understand me as I would another. The above kind of ties in to the experments as well. On the morning after that sleepless night, I was leading the sauna sermony. That is to say, wishing people welcome, regulating the atmosphere and keeping the fire going, literally and figureativly. This was about three hours, with two different groups. Cant say I felt very drawn to hosting on zero sleep, but you know, responsibilites. I am happy that I walked (that is to say, not drive) the 40 minutes or so to the sauna and the coast. This gave me time to focus on the breath and the moment, while taking in a landscape quite a few people would consider among the most beautiful on our little planet (allthough there are no lack of beauty anywhere really). On the way, two helpfull thoughts entered: one how f small I am. How small we all are. Watching the fjords and the mountains, it becomes very clear that I am indeed very small. All of us. And that was liberating. Second, the guests where obviously there not because they wanted to experience me, but to enjoy the sauna. In their eyes, I am really not that important, and my responsibility is just to make it as smooth of an experience for them as possible. So, this was a three hour session, with two different sets of guest. The first one, went okay. Not great, but okay. When I wasnt entireley present, some other experienced saunamasters (as we call ourself ) was being very helpfull. In an hour or so I was back into it. Second half went great, all guests leaving with smiles and thanking me for the experience. So that is another important takeaway from this experience; humanities helpfull nature. When people see me being a little "off", they want to help out, just as I would do for them. It is okay not to be 100% all the time. So, for the period 05.01-12.01 I want to keep the experiments from the previous period: - Carry a bag with a notebook, nectar of devotion, my chating beeds and a water bottle everywhere - Sauna three times minimum As well as add: - waking up the same time everyday, no matter what. I think I will set it at 08.00. - Physical journaling as a way to empty my mind. - Walk to places I need or want to be - Breath in that PRANA - Visit temple, lets say... three times. And now, Ill go prepare some food for the people. Wish you a good week, Hare Krishna! Edit: aaaalso, the alarm clock woke me up with the following qoute: "walk by faith, not by fear." Good, no? Fitting, certainly. edit two: Om Sri Lakshmi! The power of now is here now!

I bet you are wrong. Fairly confident even. On a tangengibly related note, there https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mile_high_club. Take activity that humans do, and I am pretty sure that at least two has engaged in love making during it.

  8. What are you listening to?

    The voices in my head
  9. Obscure question perhaps, and wording as well. But I wonder, are various scriptures revealed (to a greater or lesser degree) by higher (or lower) forces (non-human entities) to various groups at various times to humanity?
  10. Karma and dharma

What is your understanding of these concepts?
  11. Karma and dharma

Yesterday I got introduced to a new term, paradharma: way back to self-realization/godhead
  12. @steve @stirling "whats yours (and anyone else whod like to comment) attitude to displic succession and assotiation?
  13. Please do. Mighty interresting.
  14. Considering Private Neidan Subforum

Quick comment: Completly blank on this subject, but based on a quick google search, it sounds fascinating. I would not participate, other than perhaps an occasional question for clarification, but I’d love to read and learn. In favour!

    - can you smoke while meditating? - no, but you can meditate while smoking Osho (I believe, but does it matter?)
  16. What are you listening to?

So I came across this song. Felt magical. I was unsure of wheater or not to share it after, so I’ll share and elaborate below. (afterthought: also, with music, different kinds resonate with different people/moods, so is it somewhat intrusive to share?)
  17. What are you listening to?

    Very beautifull words, thank you
  18. Karma and dharma

Very intruiging, could you elaborate, please?
  19. You are probally aware of this, but I figure it doesnt hurt bringing it up. When I search for threads, it simply doesnt work. A work around Ive found is to google some key words + daobums.
  20. Alright, so this thread is primarilly about the book mentioned in the title: if you have any thoughts or knowledge of it. Id also like to write a little about my relationship with reading and the book boat Epos. You are, as always, free to respond as you wish. So, From the age to, lets say 7-8 up til 15-16, I was a big reader. Untill the teenage years, it was mostly (maybe exclusivley) fantasy or children books. A loooooot of Harry Potter During the age 13-16 (approx), I got into some of the great authors of the the 1900s, starting with my countryman Hamsun. What a writer! Below is an excerpt from his wiki article: Herman Hesse, mentioned in the excerpt above, I loved as well. Siddharta and Steppenwolf I remember really spoke to me, but I do not remember the stories, as it is more than a decade since I read them. After that, untill I came across the Gita and Isha Upanishad, I was relegated from the library of life to youtube university. Well, relegated might be a bit to harsh of a word; perhaps getting a some superficial knowledge of various fields was adventagues before diving deep, as I intend to know. So, I have been given two "orders" from several people I respect and see as friends as teachers. One is to chant the mahamantra, the other to read a few pages of vedic litterature daily. Right know, I am reading Nectar of devotion, and so far it seems real good. I also think I might have identified my dharma: ayurveda, so thats something id like to specialize in. Now, over to the library boat Epos: The western region of Norway, is... well, look at the pick above: mountainous and fjords everywhere. This leads to there being a lot of smaller communites scattered around this region. So in order to give them access to a library that everyone in cities and larger towns has, Epos has been sailing the fjords for more than six decades Since 2022 they function a little different: they now rely on donated books, and can either be bought or read (for free) at the ship itself, and is also a cafe/bar. Today, they took camp at a port I was walking trough, so I went in and had a chat. One book really cought my attention, the last book - the diary of the last earthlings. It was just fascninating, but hard to get a grip about what it was about, so I asked on of the employes. She said it was about everything (of value). The idea being, if youve read this, you know all you need to know and wont have to read another book ever again. I asked how much she wanted for it, but since this was a donation, it was not for sale. I was ofc. welcome to read it at the ship, but considering how sporadically they travel around, Im not sure if the stars will align again. Another alternativ, was to buy it elsewhere for 1.500 NOK (divide that by 10 and you get the approx price (150) in euros, usd and pounds). As of know, this is too much for me. The Last Book - The Diary of The Last Earthling https://www.amazon.com/Last-Book-Diary-Earthling-Illustrations/dp/B0FLDJNYWN Ive also ordered this book: Book of Symbolism - Harry B Joseph https://revivalofwisdom.com/products/book-of-symbolism?srsltid=AfmBOopJEONnbMINXXHSd39GVX0gMBEXHP7L_xB0sIvUYWA8hRxu8iG8
