The new Daoism wave, Liping and students

    Thread Started on Nov 6, 2008, 7:16am

the matters at hand is the seemingly rebirth of Daoism in China, this is as mentioned a while ago part of a long term plan for the reintroduction of religious value in the communist structure of chinese politic, pedagogy and society at large. Suffering from the constant sense of comparison and inferiority complex and also becoming harder and harder to deny the need of the masses for more then just moralism ( see the surge of qigong sects and both islam and christianity) a slow process started in 90's of preparing the ground for the rebirth of religion, that is autoctonous religion, i.e. Daoism in China.

Liping is the man for the job that is his destiny and as i mentioned already a couple of years ago, the Olympics would sign the official opening of the gates. Liping will become more and more a public persona with huge government support propaganda behind and the cream of china intellectuals to back up the operation, the goal is simple, Daoism to everybody for the pride of the state, this they realize cannot happen without including westerners, they are eventually surrendering to the reality that there is more to the world then just China and its walls, globalization has hit the mark.

as i was with him there in the last 4 years of transition have seen changes and event from a relatively good sightpoint.

i must say to a great extent his biography (written in 92-93) and all the followed, (1 books and a collection of articles) has been part of a well thought plan of propaganda of the new daoism and his pope, Liping.

    ...

Liping has always been very straight, at the beginning of each class i presented to, private or public he clearly stated he teaches the religious aspect of Daoism belonging to the mountain or hermit tradition, this alone is a statement made in a very chinese way that says: forget ever achieving it, this is a tease.

    ...

(here Liping play the game for he caress people ego saying things without saying, giving the easy impression things are bigger then they are whent it comes to some of his students, is very sweet, excellent didactic to put people up and commend them, but when getting the hard facts, i found lots of inconsistence or anedoct at best or in most cases those unique peak which happened only once or twice in the person practice career)

    ...

his destiny is to reveal the techincal aspect of his tradition, to show that everyone can practice it no matter who or what because will "make you youthful" and be "good for you" will "heal you" and the usual kind of lets admit it empty meaningless promises you all heard 1000 times before, (not that they do not deliver to a certain extent and for certain people)

    ...

Along with Anna we were the only 2 foreigners at a highly secretive meeting od advance students and senior practitioner only (please take a bit of the sarcasm in the word advanced) around 150 people who follow him since the 80's 40 of those supposedly with balls so to speak....i spare you the sadness and disillusion but will mention that i do happen to know shen zhi gan who took great pride in telling me how much he knows and how many books he wrote and that he makes froums blogs and god knows to spread Daoism, commendable...unluckily big mouth but not much essence (plus in 10 days of retreat caught him 3 times drunk out in the night, out of seedy karaoke nothing wrong i love those places, but then don't play the pure, sinless, desireless and near enlighted dude during the day) and lots lots of both conceptual and personal....concepts made of him and a couple of others (lu ya ping) in the 10 days there a gathering of zealots.

Furthermore aside being a fanatic zealot he does truly exagerate and make real, things which are not, unforgivable in this field (like people having all kind of miracle opening the "orbit" the 3 eye and such and so, mostly as usual just sensationalistic experiences, induced by Ling, Shen or of Qi but again to feel something is not to have achieved it) was very disappointing, to see them take distances from phenomena like Falun gong or similar just to mention) but then faling in the same trap of feel good great experience kind of thing confused with actully achieving it. The top was reached as i was bugging some of the loud mouth among them to prove their achievement, but nobody could, they all went crying to Liping for having hurt their...shall we say ego? and made then loose face, once Shen Zhi Gan and Lu Ya Ping looked at me and said, "ohh your channels are close and you have no qi even if i show you, you would not feel it ? i had a good laugh about it (i just passed the yin yang gong test) but truly quite sad in fact. and most of the so called great things they witnessed are merely more then of the usual mass effect (still definetely some incredible healing yes and random miracolous Ling events but then again this is something different and no need to go to china for that, shall we mention many great Christian charismatig mass healing and divine revelations?)

Of the old students i interviewed only 1 did actually pass the test and has achieved some actual results, but could not show it because he needs 3 months of celibacy and 1 months of being vegetarian to prepare for a demo.... i mean...COME ON, and few others did succeed in enter a lesser Ding (of 15 hours is like a 15 hours samadhi, remarkable but...after 20 years of meditating 4 hours a day not so impressive) but still not the xiao ding necessary to practice death and real Shen transformation (72 hours).

    ...

Still definetely he and a couple of others have been around Liping for long time and have gathered lots of technical informations of mixed value. Unlukily the all operation is turning in to a manualistic kind of glorified mantak chia, technicism without depth. was quite a disappointment for me personally.

    Dear All

after a long while its time again to write here again.

    ...

The reason for me to write is to announce something which am sure will stir some waters. In brief recent events brought the beginning of a new journey, having achieved that which sparked the all search and having being guided by those of the Miao Tong Dao whom i remit to, its time for me to open the doors to those of you with interest and means directly to a couple of teachers which are to become important figures in the years to come.

Having spoken and agreed with both Jiang and Liping on the matter im happy to be the

Guan Xi for those of you who will want to study under them directly not just as outsiders or public students but having access to them privately and to the teachings they will be willing to share.

those of you interested PM me personally.

Prices are as follow ( and can and will change without prior notice) 45.000 euro for Jiang. 24.000 for Liping.

the introduction will be formal and sealed which implies your direct access to the masters and the teaching in private form and will of course comes with my support and teaching as well if required.

    ...

    David

O.k. this is something that overpass even the wildest imagination. This guy has nothing sacred. Somebody has to kick his @#$. And I mean beat him. His "skills" wont save him. Thanks Robert for the info. I hope people will read this, and dont even think to get close to him in any way. Well, maybe only to kick his @#$.

  2. Many bulls in Spain, Ha Ha Ha what a Classic :D

Does anybody know if his forum that cost $100 to join is still running  ?

    Cheers :D

I heard that, slowly but steadily, verdesi is loosing his followers..Who knows, maybe because of the financial crisis, the poor guys cant afford it chasing immortallity, so sad..Maybe he will have to WORK for a living in the future

  3. How long was this special class? Were the teachings the same with what is going to be taught in Atlanta?

Isn't he a super-powered being himself, after reaching (in Mopai terms) Level4? :P last year?

Yea, maybe he is in level 6-7 now...maybe moved to Spain...they have many bulls there, for him to steal their chi..and advance to higher levels.. not to mention the caves there with the Spanish immortals..

  4. Hi Kathy and fellow Taobums,

I just received a very kind invitation to attend this event from Kathy (thank you) and thought I would return the favor with a little plug for the teaching. This is a really great opportunity and I am encouraged to see people interested.

I had a chance to study privately with Master Wang Li Ping last year in China and have to say that he is one of the most remarkable teachers I have ever met. The experience changed my life for ever.

To study these teachings is a rare thing and it's really heart warming to see this Tao come to the West.

    Yours truly, Sean Denty

Hey, it seems verdesi run out of money, and his master Wang Liping is not exclusive anymore. Unfortunately for him, a lot of people made contact with master Wang, no need for fake representatives like verdesi. Behold earth creatures!!Master David got out of his cage, ready(?) to share his knowledge with humanity!! :P

  5. Mike knows what he is talking about. Only very few of us (I dont include myself!!) would abandoned a safe life in the U.K., and relocate in a foreign place, just for the sake of learning. While we are "playing roles" in front of our p.c., some people like Mike search more. This, for me, is quite a task.Keep on Mike!!

  6. a few years back, in my late teens, i developed an interest in Qi Gong, and subsequently came across Mantak Chias books. as a young man with a raging sex drive i became facinated with the idea of developing special sexual abilities, and without understanding what i was really doing started experimenting with semen retention (while masturbating, i wasnt sexually active at the time.) like i said i had very little experience with qi gong beyond a few exercises my previous kung fu teacher had demonstrated. after a few weeks of forcing myself not to ejaculate (which felt uncomfortable) i realised something had changed. circulation to my genitals was now limited, i was unable to gain an erection just from fantasising, (i also wasnt waking with an erection), and there was very little feeling in my penis. this obviously devastated me and for the next say three years i went to different natural therapists, as well as a urologist (who was incredibly unhelpful), in an attempt to find a solution. during these years i found sex to be strange as i was able to last for up to an hour sometimes, as sensation was very limited.

a few months ago i started having acupuncture, and it has helped tremendously. things seem to be getting better and better with each session. erections are now much stronger, there is a lot of sensation, my testicles hang lower and i have even noticed my urination is incredibly strong. on top of that i also feel a lot more relaxed and happy. one thing which i am curious about is: the days following acupuncture my condition improves greatly, and then my bowels seem to loosen up and i need to go the toilet more often than usual. accompanying this the blood flow to my penis seems to lessen, in fact ive even noticed my face turns a lot paler (my skin is usually glowing and very healthy looking in the days immediately following acupuncture.) its not so much that things reverse, (as the 'signal' to my genitals remains) but this 'paleness' seems to come over my body.

my practitioner has said that the movement of my bowels and the 'wet' heat sensation i feel moving down my legs sometimes is the result of 'damp heat' being expelled from my body. there seems to be less and less 'damp heat' these days, but the process of my body becoming 'pale' still occurs. also i have noticed that the acupuncture sessions are much more powerful when i have abstained for a week or so beforehand. i'm not really sure i have a specific question, but i thought this forum would be a good place to gain different perspectives on what has happened to me over the last few years. i trust my practioner a lot and am tremendously grateful for the help i have recieved, i'm just curious as to the perspectives others may have. Any thoughts/advice?

    Hi barka

It's good to hear that you are better now. Unfortunately many people got hurt from the bullshit of Mantak Chia. Somebody must end that. He has to be banned from the chi kung enviroment. Or somebody must beat him. My advice is not to go too much inside chi kung without a guidance. Many people gone mad because of wrong training. Nobody will be immortal. Live your life, have g/f, enjoy sex. You are a young boy, for crying out loud.

  7. What is that? Why do they wave their hands all the time? Why don't they launch a descent attack? Why they don't touch each other? This is indonesian dance not a martial art. I have seen silat vids in the past with vicious movements that had nothing to do with that thing..Perhaps is a cultural thing I guess..

    Z

On the other hand, Santiago's clip is very nice with descent tecniques and a beautiful indonesian girl performing a keris dance :D

  8. I have the same problem due to excess training in sparring. Your friend should do an MRI first, to see what exactly is the problem. In most cases(including mine) it is forbidden to go to a chiropract. It might get things worst. Tell him to go to a doctor. He might have to live with that for the next of his life, so he needs to be extra caucious with training, lifting weights..

  9. I am interested in learning what a demon is.

    What exactly constitutes a Demon?

A Demon is the higher self within us according to the ancient Greek language. It has nothing to do with the later term of christianity of an evil spirit. ΔΑΙΜΩΝ in Greek is a word much much more ancient comparing to christianity

  10. This kind of questions regarding not ejaculating, has emerged many times. From what I have witnessed, and from dicussions with masters and students, I have come to the conclusion that one should't worry too much.

Sex is natural. It is in our nature to "spread the seed". You can find the time to meditate. You can find the time to have sex. If you deny your desire, and oppress it, it will come back stronger than ever. That's what "wet dreams" are. A chance to release the tension.

Enjoy life. Enjoy cultivation. You can do both, and get the benefits. Don't be too strict with your self. We are not monks. We are people living in cities, not hermits up in the mountains. We all need the discipline of cultivation, but at the same time there is nothing better and joyful as the touch of a woman. :)

  11. Hi guys,

That's a very intreresting topic. I think that obssesing your sexuality, might only cause you trouble. Of course if you follow the path of internal alchemy, you need some time to be in celibacy. I think that the key words here is "take your time"

By this I mean that there is time for having fun, and time for cultivating. Listen to your body. Listen to your surrounding. Here in the Mediterannean it's summer time. Warm weather, less clothes for women, libido is high up. Enjoy life. After that you can control your self and meditate. All things require their time.We are not monks. We live in the city. Your body knows.

All great masters have families, and enjoying life. You have the time for everything. Don't force your body with celibacy too much. After all wet dreams are always there!!

    Just my humble opinion,

    Z

  12. A

    :)

If someone take a look to few of the records that survived(thankfully) from the mass destruction that Christianity brought, we can see that in all kinds of mysteries that took place in ancient Greece, the gods or dieties were there, expressing their existance in various ways. Just like christianity's saints that appear in dreams of their followers, in the same way ,gods and godesses appear in the dreams of people.

  13. anyone know anything about the practices in the eleusinian mysteries of demeter and persephone.

are there any good books about it. is it still practiced by people.

anyone know of any practices associated with athena

    ty

    Hi,

Unfortunately nothing has remained from the Eleusinian Mysteries. Christianity and the Goths destroyd the last clues we had for these practices. After all, no one was allowed to talk freely about what happened in there. It was forbidden. The only thing we know is that the Demeter followers drunk in the temple a drink called "Kykeon", and then they witnessed visions about Demeter and her daughter Persephony. The ultimate goal of the Mysteries was for someone to witness death, and rebirth from that state, meaning practically that someone after that, was not afraid of death anymore.

Unfortunately my friend, Christianity destroyed all the ancient mysteries of my country, leaving us with nothing. Just the ancient temples, and the statues are there to witness the ancient glory...What a pity..

    z

  14. Lets not make any generalisations here regarding what Wang Li Ping does or does not charge. It is something we have very little information about, and non of it has been provided directly from the source-the man himself.

In my experience teachers will often vary their price according to their feelings towards the student. Some will pay more, some will pay less. Some will pay nothing-in money.

Does a handsome sum of coin go into the pocket of David Verdesi seems to be the issue here. Well, from direct experience I DO NOT KNOW. I THINK it is likely so. But thinking and knowing...they are not the same. Many other people seem to have the same impression. Nothing wrong with that. I would always seek ALL the facts before hanging someone personally. I've jumped to conclusions too many times in the past and placed my foot squarely in my mouth as a result.

Now, the only question THAT MATTERS, I think, ( ;) ), is whether it is worth it-TO YOU. People have haggled over prices most likely since the dawn of time, 'I'll give you this lovely piece of flint for that woolly mammoth tale'. Some will agree the price is worth it, some will not. Some will resent not being able to afford the price. Some will simply not be willing to pay. This has also been the case since the beginning of time. Wail and gnash your teeth all you want, it will not change this fact.

My own feelings on price differ from the standard economic model of pricing, what the market will bear, i.e. let supply and demand fix the price. I think this is what David Verdesi follows though. A group size maybe 10 people. You set the price to the point where you have your ten people. Same money you'd get for a hundred or more people, but significantly less effort and hassle.

Now, you can argue all day regarding how 'spiritual' that is, but in the end it will just come down to people shouting at each other with opinions. That is all they are. Opinion is fine but reality is where the rubber meets the road. There is something to think long and hard about.

There are other choices out there-for some. Life provides the options that it does. You don't like it, change it. It is often quite absurd to see the complaining that goes on-something I have been very guilty of, and very easily slip into-about how hard done by we are. Yeh, well that's 'horse shit' to quote my friend.

Every day I get to see people riding tricycles around the city. Many are collecting rubbish that people don't want, so they can sell it on. Others are pushing around 1000's of pounds in weight of goods, building materials, etc. They get the work because they are cheaper than a van when it comes to shifting stuff. As I sit here typing this I can hear one of these people calling out for business. Near the big western supermarket where most of the western goods are sold, there are elderly people who collect plastic bottles from passers by, so they can go on and sell them at the recycling centers.

In Indonesia and Thailand I saw people begging that had limbs missing, who were deformed from disease or some horrible misfortune. I've encountered Polio sufferers here begging in the main shopping streets. Begging is more difficult in China from my experience, as the police will 'move on' such people on sight.

So, if you are reading this from America or Europe, or a modern 'developed' country, well guess what? You won the jackpot when you were born. Start thinking about what you have instead of what you don't have and what you 'want', because I doubt anyone reading this here is really 'wanting' for very much at all.

It comes down to whether YOU think your glass is half full or half empty. Most likely its more than that. Give and you will receive. Funny thing that. Seems to work.

    Best,

    Mike

Insightful as always Mike. We are waiting you with anticipation my friend!!

  15. Well best way is to go to Indonesia Or malaysia. Mine came from family that went and brought it back to me and from friend that gave me one. I know here in the US they are expensive and hard to come by.

Its not the sort of thing to get and not care for it. Infact if you get one that is "posessed" or empowered it can be very intense if you do not now how to settle it and or work with it.

It can be used to train Pencak Silat & to do ritual magic aswell as for psychic Protection & healing. Also it can be used to bring stability & Prosperity to the holder. It all depends on how they are programed and who made them and what the intent is behind them. I have noticed that since having them in my home, My family got much more peaceful & stable. Not all Keris's are created equal. each have their own Positives & negatives & can be either blessing or curse depending on what is in the keris, who has it, how its used or not used, how its taken care of.

Mine like to be feed and also like to be handled.

They can be testy too at times for example if someone tries to touch them with out permission the blade will sort of "STICK" to sheath or get stuck and not want to come out. But if it likes the persons energy it slides right out like its lubricated! Strange but true.

If it doesn't like the person it will cut them or scratch them with out and apparent movement or cause.

If i am caught up with work and or family and not give them attention the will subtly communicate with me and ask to be held or used.

When I 1st got one I was a bit worried to mess with it so I left it in a glass door shut shelf. I didn't want to mess with it till i had some achievements with my self. Then one day I could feel it pulsing around me and asking to be brought out to open in the house. So i began the process of doing consecrations with it and specific prayers and mantras so that I could get more in tune with it and its uses.

The more I worked with it the more it felt comfortable and the more I learned what to do with it.

Sometimes I put them in my hand when I meditate to conduct certain subtle energies that are very subtle. Its a great tool to tune into cosmic energies. The meteorite has something to do with that.

Also I use them in my hands and let them "teach" me Pencak Silat. What is interesting is that on their own they will move my body into bizarre postures like spontaneous Yoga or Chi Kung and it will put me in Combative "mudras" with my body. If you know how to tune it they will take you where your heart felt intentions want to go and also will tune you into what ever you want to know or learn.

One of my students I was doing healing and psychic protection for reported to me that a week after I worked with him he began seeing my keris astrally protecting him and his life situation improved greatly.

They are very mystical & very real energetic divine tools that when used for a higher cause can be extremely beneficial.

One of my students in Silat told me that when he was in Java one of his gurus there used a keris to stop the rain for 30 days during monsoon season so that President Clinton could vacation in Bali & Java. He was requested by the president of Indonesia to do his shamanic magic with Keris ( he is known for this sort of thing). In Indonesia and Malaysia its very common for a spiritual/energy worker or shaman/ guru/pendekar to have a Keris & use it.

The real Keris is the secret sword in you.

    Peace

    Santiago

    Hello everybody,

Keris is regarded a sacred object, as Santiago mentioned. It is also a facsinating work of art, and once you are bitten by the keris bug, then it's final :D

But it requires a lot of attention from your part. The more you have, the more attention for all of them. I own 9 of them, and they require a significant part of my time.

  16. http://www.amazon.com/Martial-Arts-Ancient...2636&sr=8-1

Kostas's method of Pammachon is something special and he is a special teacher. Well worth checking out if you are interested in the martial arts. Kostas has gotten to the 'root' of the fighting arts and has a tremendous understanding of the principles underlying martial arts.

His students are also special people and great hosts, (hello 'Zeus', I look forward to seeing you again the end of the year my friend!)

Looking forward too Mike!! Take care!!

    Z

  17. It is sad to read that. I wish John Chang would continue to teach Kosta. Though I don't know the reasoning behind John's decision so I cant be mad. My respect goes to both of them.

Well, I will continue applying the the hints Kosta left in The Magus of Java and Nei Kung and when the time is right hopefully I will come across a teacher who can train my brother and I in the internal arts of true Nei Kung.

Thank you Zeus for your response,

    Artiss

Just bare in mind, not to pay enormous amounts of money to certain guys in the Net. They are only after cash. A small advice would be to follow some simple meditative method (what Kostas is suggesting in his book is just fine or another one) along with somekind of internal M.A. (Northern Wu style of tai ji is very good) of the YCGF Association, http://www.ycgf.org/

  18. no riddle. just a simple inquiry.

do any of you guys know if there is a school

teaching martial arts, qigong yoga or meditation

in Mythimnia or another town on the island Lesbos?

I went there two years ago, and will go again this summer.

My instincts are telling me to go back.

Sorry my friend. I don't know. Sometimes, during summertime, some taiji guys visit greek islands for vacation+tai ji or yoga. But a regular school.. kind of difficult.

    Regards
