With all due respect, I don't think you're familiar with Damo's system. The Xing-Ming dual-tracking exists throughout Longmen, and Damo's school is not an exception. Also, there are plenty of moving exercises along with static standing & sitting in the school. You also said this about him: I'll be honest. I think you're quite out of your depth to make this judgement about Damo.

What specifically about the Northern School (I'm assuming you're referring to Dragon Gate) that would produce this kind of body shape?

This is something I've been curious about - how did he go from being *that* scrawny to ... his current physical shape? Adam Mizner also has the same shape.

Afaik, the book is largely fiction, inspired by Wang's life story. Wang didn't write the book. Some random guy did, and then presented it to Wang for approval, and Wang gave it. I'm a woo person myself, I've just read too much over too long to know that a lot of these things are real, but that said, if you actually read the book in its original language, you'd realize that it's written in a fiction style. That's not to say Wang isn't good. He could be super good for all I know, but that book is not it.

In the Reddit thread the OP linked, someone shared something that resonates: It's hard to know which ones are true and untrue.
