I'd recommend Books and DVDs. I learned my primary qigong system i practice to this day from a DVD and partially a book.
Books
1. Way of Energy
2.
DVDs (video)
1. Spring Forest Qigong (
)2. Gift of the Tao
3. Flying Phoenix Qigong(
)4. Yigong (Jenny Lamb's system)
5. Way of Energy (Zhan Zhuang)
At nqa.org you can search qigong instructors in your area: http://nqa.org/find-member/
This is very helpful. Thank you!

There are no classes I can attend that are about Qigong or Tai Chi, so I have to teach myself.
It is not the best solution, but is the only one that is available to me.

It symbolizes Yin and Yang.
The monkey to the left, Yin, has a mostly sedentary lifestyle and a diet consisting primarily of bananas.
The monkey to the right, Yang, has a mostly active lifestyle and a diet consisting primarily of apples.
They are both levitating over the Mountains because they are Level 5 Mopai practionners.
Also, there won't be a rooster this year, because it is in the belly of the Yin Monkey.
Sorry folks !
I can't tell if you are joking...

They were for the year of the Fire Monkey...
I guess the Rooster taking the year off.
So it changes?

I was wondering if there was a story that about it.

My nightstand is kinda small, so I keep only the Tao Te Ching and The Art Of War on it.

Practice Chi Kung. Learning of the Tao is and experiential process rather than an intellectual one....never let anyone convince you otherwise. Welcome to TDB.
Welcome to the bums
Hello Sealestr, and welcome.
Your membership is approved and we're happy you found your way to us. We look forward to accompanying you on some of the way that you still have to go.
Please take the time to read the two posts pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum terms and rules. This covers all you need to know when getting started.
For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.
Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,
Marblehead and the TDB team
Hi Sealestr,
There are many translations of The Lao Tzu and The Chuang Tzu at this site: http://terebess.hu/english/lexikon/l.html
You are welcome to jump right in ongoing discussions, revive an older thread, start a new thread of your own, or start a discussion in the "Newcomer Corner" sub-forms to expand on your introduction or ask general questions to help you get started.
May you enjoy your time here.
Marblehead
Thank you!

I am new here, and also relatively new to Taoism. I find it's ideas intriguing and want to know more. If anyone has any suggestions for where to learn more (As in a book or website), I'd like to know.
