So supernatural stuff I don't see much of that in the DDJ. The gentle/timely rain could very well be interpreted in a metaphorical sense. The other possibility is that our world is much more connected than we are able to perceive... that things like how we act could have some sort of impact on something like the weather. I have no opinion on that ... but I do have an open mind.

Congrats on feeling better from your practice đ

Even though many people in this world care about mundane things, according to many traditions, being born in the human realm is a blessing and an important incarnation. I tend to agree with them... How to gain complete control of yourself and your mind/body
Fa Xin replied to Lightseeker's topic in General Discussion
I would say start small. Observe your thoughts and notice the sensations of your body. Try to be aware of whatâs going on inside. At first it may be difficult, but it will get easier with time. -

For me this has a more personal meaning , than one based on a particular teaching. It's about connecting with Jesus' energy, and finding lots of space (rest). There may be another meaning, but I'm going with this one, final answer
-
90. Jesus said, "Come to me, for my yoke is comfortable and my lordship is gentle, and you will find rest for yourselves."

She was playing hard to get...

And most "figuring it out" requires you to try the 9,999 other ways it DIDN'T work before you find the way it did. Buddha was a trailblazer in that regard.

Wonder if all the training he did set him up for that moment. Maybe it was not for nothing. I don't know, either.

Peace brother, good luck on your journey. Da' Bums will always be here to help if possible.

Nice. I agree. I think theres also something in the words âHe who made...is also the one who made...â like pointing again to âitâs the Fathers, not mineâ
-
89. Jesus said, "Why do you wash the outside of the cup? Don't you understand that the one who made the inside is also the one who made the outside?"
-
To me, this verse is very interesting. It seems to be about placing False hopes in Men ... waiting for spiritual salvation from others. The prophets show us the kingdom of God is within, yet we - being fallible - reject this notion and "wait for the day".
-
88. Jesus said, "The messengers and the prophets will come to you and give you what belongs to you. You, in turn, give them what you have, and say to yourselves, 'When will they come and take what belongs to them?'"
-
Thanks everyone for your responses. It's nice to see such quality interpretations on these verses.

What is the most straight forward path to enlightenment
Fa Xin replied to falcon's topic in General Discussion
Iâd say the straightest path is your own path... but donât take my word for it. -
Ahhhh, my girlfriend does that stuff too. âI donât remember what your talking about...â. Donât fall for their tricks!!!! đ Joking aside, very interesting experiences. It seems youâve managed to stay down to earth about it all, which is good. Lots of weird things happen in this world of which sometimes thereâs just no explanations. Maybe a glitch in the matrix. đ

Iâve heard this theory before. Itâs an interesting one. Every choice you make can have repercussions. We are where we are now, because of the choices weâve made (either conciously or through our karmic patterns). Thinking of it in terms of different dimensions, is an interesting way of seeing it. But you have to ask yourself - are you seeing it this way because it is so? Or has someone told you to try and see it that way? Or from a book? Personally I have to be vigilant not to get my preconceived ideas mixed up with whatâs really happening right now, less I be lead down some rabbit hole.

first thereâs a mountain, then no mountain, then the mountain again. â° Dont throw out the world just yet. It may fall away, just in time to come back and be a world that, rather than is out to get you, is itself the Light.
