  1. Buddhist pride and Narcissism

Yes perhaps wonderment is a better term for what I mean. For instance being curious how something works is not reflective of duality to me. Ive always thought once someone has transcended duality, they return to all manner of “dualistic” things once again. Nothing needs to be avoided or rejected. i think our words are getting in the way and we’re talking about the same thing. fun convo for me to contemplate
  2. Buddhist pride and Narcissism

Thanks for your reply. I don’t really see how curiosity has to do with dualism. Children have a natural curiosity without judgement?
  3. Buddhist pride and Narcissism

Why is the extinguishing of curiosity considered a high attainment? Just curious

His IIH system is pretty solid for developing a base... especially the first few steps. I hope you enjoy the forum. Also what kind of qigong are you doing? Enjoy the forum. Sounds like you’ll fit in well here. 14. What do you mean by practical method? More like instructions? I’d be happy to share how I do it. Shoot me a message.
  15. Thanks. The Gurus I mean would be for example, Padmasambhava or Tara, who share a high potential of growth for the practitioner. So no need to “move on”, but rather develop a deep relationship with. Not the typical concept of a guru as viewed in the west, in the way I’m using it. Cheers
  16. I would encourage you to search for and look into Guru Yoga. There’s a good amount of info on here about it. Light body, in my understanding, is moving past your own energy body and starting to integrate the universe - breaking down the barriers of self. In my tradition (Gnostic Christian) this is done by connecting with higher beings & masters of the tradition, which is similar to the Guru Yoga practices of Tibetan traditions. Since you said your not into having a guru or teacher, I didn’t think it was necessary to share the details of the practice. But I’d be happy to chat more via PM if you’re interested.
  17. Guru yoga is an energetic practice. Doesn’t have anything to do with listening to advice. It seems you already have your ideas of what a light body is and what it takes to get there. I wish you the best.
  18. Guru Yoga in Tibetan Buddhism is an example of working with other beings
  19. Things are only given inherent meaning because of what we ascribe to them from our perspective. Things are objectively factual and empty, as Von Kranky states. That said, I don't think it's healthy to suppress the human element. To deny our human experience of things is to miss a big part of why we are here.
  20. Of interest to healers

Thanks for asking. Lately I’ve just been holding space and being receptive. Occasionally I will say a prayer if I am moved to do so. I have practiced more indepth modalities in the past, such as reiki style transmissions. But have been doing more receiving and supporting type stuff now.

  22. In the years observing and chatting with Steve, he's been very kind and helpful. Sure he can get a bit grumpy at times... he does live in the mountains. But I've also seen him take time out of his day to post videos of techniques he thinks would be helpful to newcomers asking. How many of us can say we've done that? Walker is well written and sounds convincing. But in Steve's defense, Walker is taking 1-2 posts and really judging a man's contributions and worth on them. Steve said himself he was having an off-day and didn't feel well. Did you not take that into account? It feels like an attempted lynching...and strikes me as over the top.
  23. Of interest to healers

Great post! Very clever way to put an intention out there, while being removed enough to help it along. Thank you for sharing.
