  1. Rosicrucian Keynotes

Notice the sex of the initiate and the sex of the guide.
  2. Is man's nature violent or peaceful?

If the true nature of a tree is bitterness, Even though you plant it in the very garden of heaven Where it is watered by the stream of heaven’s immortality And its roots fed with the most honey-sweet ambrosia, In the end the essence will emerge When the fruit is bears is bitter. - pir khan
  3. Consciousness and Qi

IMHO Qi is cosmic fuel. It's the animating principle, the inner and outer fire (it is both within and without), it is the Sulpher Principal of western alchemy, it is born in stars and related to the subconscious function in man. And yes, it is extremely real.
  4. Magic and psychology

I think Jung and AC both understood the goal of 'magick' was to find the spark of the eternal within, or the analogy I like, the one who tills the field, AC called it an HGA, Jung the Self, these are both inherently internal processes, you can use a external ritual to effect progress, but the change is actually occurring in the operator's mind. If one understands this process, I think you can also understand how things like old folk magic, curses, love spells, etc - also occur within the realm of mind.
  5. Magic and psychology

Sixth night. My soul leads me into the desert, into the desert of my own self. I did not think that my soul is a desert, a barren, hot desert. dusty and without drink. The journey leads through hot sand, slowly wading without a visible goal to hope for? How eerie is this wasteland. It seems to me that the way leads so far away from mankind. I make my way step by step. and do not know how long my journey will last. - Jung. Liber Novus I didnt much care for Jung a couple years back, but he was onto something for sure...commendable for his research alone, he was the for real 'method of science, aim of religion'
  6. A Taoist approach to bad habbits

Hi, peace bro, really all i can say without coloring your journey is just do it and see what your results are, stop looking at things emotionally or as wrong or right, good or bad, just do it. Secondly, all i can say, it came to a point i couldnt tell the diffrence between a session with cannabis and without, so why use the cannabis? Likewise, when i use cannabis to use cannabis and not to accent a spiritual pursuit the effets of the cannabis take on the traits of cultivation and vice versa, i see it all as working towards that unity mind, there is no difference, im always high and always sober. ;-)
  7. Right? At least get a ps4.
  8. A Taoist approach to bad habbits

Why not incorporate cannabis into your regimen, if you have one. Make it scientific and ritualistic, compare how you progress with cannabis, and without, compare a cultivation session with and without, note the differences and similarities, gauge and adjust. IMO if you quit cannabis, you would just replace it with something else, usually a certain meditation or something else and the last thing we want is use our exercises to get high, so why not just keep using it medicinally, if not abused it's no different than taking lemon balm tincture or valerian root or fennel.
  9. What exactly is "Inner Nature"?

It is that which works in silence and naught but silence can express.
  10. The Garden of Eden

Hi Zhongyongdaoist, Last year I was privy to sit in on a couple of meetings of a little Kabbalah get together with a group of artists who spend time between Tzfat, Israel and California and one of the things I learned is just how far removed these Israeli, Lurianic lineages are from 'Hermetic' Qabalah, and not in a religious sense, the concepts discussed were very advanced, beyond anything I've seen discussed in books and most interestingly their 'work' in the initiate was measurable. Is there still value in the GD and their offshoots? Maybe? But it always seems to bottleneck at a certain point (as with my experience in BOTA) and this is why we see the general disarray of mainstream western occult groups, there is no meat and potatoes under that gravy. So then, if Mathers, Westcott or whoever were not initiated into a true hebraic esoteric lineage how can we expect them to produce 'correct' diagrams explaining the meaning of Genesis? And the reason for the included quote from TTC, is that it sums up succinctly (for me at least) the esoteric meaning of Genesis1.
  11. The Garden of Eden

Of course not. When the world knows beauty as beauty, ugliness arises When it knows good as good, evil arises ~TTC
  12. The Garden of Eden

Hi Marblehead, I had a conversation with an ardent fundamentalist about this very issue, my points with her, were that - if she believes the story as a literal-historical truth, that means, 1) Team YHVH Elohim wants us to be unashamed of our bodies, it's actually the Devil that wants you to cover up and feel ashamed at your natural state of things, to feel separate and self-conscious, and 2) What of the indigenous tribes who ran around naked or next to naked that the white man 'discovered' - they felt no shame, they were innocent, no disease, little to no 'crime' - what of them, how is it they were not affected by this 'Fall' of man? She had no answers.
  13. The Garden of Eden

Yes, because we all know what Biblical authorities Westcott and Mathers were.
  14. The Garden of Eden

"Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths." I always found it fascinating the first effect of this 'fruit' was an awareness and shame of their naughty bits.
  15. The origin of mankind

I am speaking both physically and mentally, both are linked, yeah? The process of illumination or enlightenment (the main topics here minus all the fluff) is a reverse engineering of the mind in it's current state, therefore if we begin this process with pre-formed theories on where we should end up, we are like dogs chasing our tails, this 'tail-biting' is apparent in both 'rational' science and 'irrational' conspiracy theories. Both are essentially distractions to the trainee/initiate. I use to be fascinated with both areas, now I occasionally check old sites I used to frequent, and think rubbish at it's worse, painful distraction at best. Biologically, who is to say knowing man's origins will solve anything, I can trace stories back to the old countries of my family origins and readily see that no one necessarily lived longer or 'better' - likewise my in-laws family we're all pushing a healthy 90 years old in the 1800s, functional and not hooked up to shitty machines. But hey, technology is great, we can string people along who are on the brink of dying for years and milk their insurance companies for all it's worth, but who is to say that is living or represents progress of any kind. All I need to know about humanity's origins is that we emerged from an automatic process found in nature, if you know that process you can re-create it.
  16. The origin of mankind

I dont think it (the origin of humanity) matters at all. We can only start where we are now.
  17. The origin of mankind

    Does it really matter?
  18. Salamander and Sons - 2 Thumbs Up

I received my two books from the closing sale within a month of order in case anyone is wondering.
  19. The Magician Card

I think AC fumbled with this one. The Waite card on the other hand.
  20. What is happening

I love my yellow American Spirits, no conflict between my conscious mind and subconscious on that one .
  21. What are you watching on Youtube?

Hey..it's good to know Americans arent the only ones.
